< Lukka 21 >
1 Awo Yesu bwe yayimusa amaaso n’alaba abantu abagagga nga bateeka ebirabo byabwe mu ggwanika mu Yeekaalu.
Looking up, Jesus saw the rich people putting their gifts into the chests for the Temple offerings.
2 N’alaba nnamwandu omwavu ng’awaayo busente bubiri.
He saw, too, a widow in poor circumstances putting two small coins into them.
3 N’agamba nti, “Ddala ddala mbagamba nti nnamwandu oyo omwavu agabye okusinga bali abagagga bonna.
“I tell you”, he said “that this poor widow has put in more than all the others;
4 Kubanga bagabye kitono nga bakiggya ku bugagga bwe bafisizzaawo, naye nnamwandu mu bwavu bwe awaddeyo kyonna ky’alina.”
for everyone else here put in something from what he had to spare, while she, in her need, has put in all she had to live on.”
5 Ne wabaawo aboogera ku bulungi bw’amayinja agaweebwayo eri Katonda okuzimba Yeekaalu.
When some of them spoke about the Temple being decorated with beautiful stones and offerings, Jesus said,
6 Naye Yesu n’agamba nti, “Ekiseera kijja ebirungi bino byonna bye mutunuulira lwe biribetentulwa ne watasigalawo jjinja na limu nga litudde ku linnaalyo, eritalisuulibwa wansi.”
“As for these things that you are looking at, a time is coming when not one stone will be left on another here. Every one will be thrown down.”
7 Ne bamubuuza nti, “Omuyigiriza, ebyo biribaawo ddi? Ye walibaawo akabonero akaliraga nti biri kumpi okubaawo?”
So the disciples questioned Jesus, “But, teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when this is near?”
8 Yesu n’addamu nti, “Mwekuume muleme kulimbibwalimbibwa. Kubanga bangi balikozesa erinnya lyange, nga bagamba nti, ‘Nze nzuuyo.’ Naye temubakkirizanga.
And Jesus said, “See that you are not led astray; for many will take my name, and come saying ‘I am He,’ and ‘The time is close at hand.’ Do not follow them.
9 Naye bwe muwuliranga entalo n’obwegugungo, temutyanga. Kubanga entalo ziteekwa okusooka okujja, naye enkomerero terituuka mangwago.”
And, when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified, for these things must occur first; but the end will not be at once.”
10 N’ayongera n’abagamba nti, “Amawanga galirwanagana, n’obwakabaka ne bulwanagana ne bunaabwo.
Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,
11 Wagenda kubeerawo musisi ow’amaanyi ennyo, n’enjala ennyingi mu bitundu eby’enjawulo, ne kawumpuli. Walibaawo n’ebyentiisa ate n’obubonero okuva mu ggulu.
and there will be great earthquakes, and plagues and famines in various places, and there will be terrible appearances and signs in the heavens.
12 “Naye bino byonna nga tebinnabaawo balibayigganya, balibakwata. Balibawaayo mu makuŋŋaaniro, ne mu maaso ga bakabaka ne bagavana, ku lw’erinnya lyange, ne musibibwa ne mu makomera.
Before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you, and they will betray you to synagogues and put you in prison, when you will be brought before kings and governors for the sake of my name.
13 Kiribaviiramu okufuna omukisa okuba abajulirwa bange.
Then will be your opportunity of witnessing for me.
14 Naye temweraliikiriranga gye muliggya ebigambo eby’okuwoza,
Make up your minds, therefore, not to prepare your defense;
15 Kubanga ŋŋenda kubawa ebigambo n’amagezi ebiriremesa n’abalabe bammwe okubaako n’eky’okuddamu!
for I will myself give you words, and a wisdom which all your opponents together will be unable to resist or defy.
16 Muliweebwayo bakadde bammwe, ne baganda bammwe ne mikwano gyammwe, balibawaayo mukwatibwe, era abamu ku mmwe muttibwe.
You will be betrayed even by your parents and brothers and sisters and relatives and friends, and they will cause some of you to be put to death,
17 Abantu bonna balibakyawa nga babalanga erinnya lyange.
and you will be hated by everyone because of me my name.
18 Naye n’oluviiri olumu bwe luti olw’oku mitwe gyammwe terulizikirira.
Yet not a single hair of your heads will be lost!
19 Kubanga bwe muligumiikiriza muliwonya obulamu bwammwe.”
By your endurance you will win yourselves life.
20 “Bwe mulabanga nga Yerusaalemi kyetooloddwa amaggye, nga mutegeera nga Okuzikirizibwa kw’ekibuga ekyo kutuuse.
As soon, however, as you see Jerusalem surrounded by armed camps, then you may know that the hour of her desecration is at hand.
21 Abo abalibeera mu Buyudaaya baddukiranga ku nsozi, abaliba mu Yerusaalemi bakivangamu ne badduka, n’abo abalibeera mu nnimiro tebakomangawo mu kibuga.
Then those of you who are in Judea must take refuge in the mountains, those who are in Jerusalem must leave at once, and those who are in the country places must not go into it.
22 Kubanga ebyo bye biriba ebiseera Katonda mwaliwolera eggwanga, n’ebigambo ebiri mu Byawandiikibwa birituukirizibwa.
For these are to be the days of vengeance, when all that scripture says will be fulfilled.
23 Nga ziribasanga abakazi abaliba embuto n’abayonsa! Kubanga eggwanga liribonaabona, n’abantu baalyo balisunguwalirwa.
Alas for pregnant women, and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great suffering in the land, and anger against this people.
24 Abamu balittibwa n’ekitala ky’omulabe, abalala balikwatibwa ne bawaŋŋangusibwa mu mawanga gonna amalala ag’oku nsi. Yerusaalemi kiriwangulwa bannaggwanga ne bakirinnyirira okutuusa ekiseera kyabwe eky’obuwanguzi lwe kirikoma mu kiseera Katonda ky’aliba ateesezza.”
They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be taken prisoners to every land, and Jerusalem will be under the heel of the Gentiles, until their day is over – as it will be.
25 “Walibaawo obubonero ku njuba, ne ku mwezi, ne ku mmunyeenye. Wano ku nsi amawanga galibeera mu kunyolwa, olw’ab’amawanga, ng’abantu basamaaliridde olw’ennyanja eziyira n’amayengo ageesiikuula.
There will be signs, too, in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth despair among the nations, in their dismay at the roar of the sea and the surge.
26 Abantu baliggwaamu amaanyi ne bazirika nga batidde nnyo olw’ebirijja ku nsi; kubanga amaanyi g’eggulu galinyeenyezebwa.
People’s hearts will fail them through dread of what is coming upon the world; for the forces of the heavens will be convulsed.
27 Mu kiseera ekyo muliraba Omwana w’Omuntu ng’ajjira mu kire n’obuyinza n’ekitiibwa kingi.
Then will be seen the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Kale ebintu ebyo bwe bitandikanga muyimiriranga butereevu ne muyimusa amaaso gammwe waggulu! Kubanga okulokolebwa kwammwe nga kusembedde.”
And, when these things begin to occur, look upwards and lift your heads, for your deliverance will be at hand.”
29 Awo Yesu n’abagerera olugero luno nti, “Mutunuulire omuti omutiini n’emiti emirala gyonna.
Then he taught them a lesson, saying – “Look at the fig tree and all the other trees.
30 Bwe mulaba nga gitandise okutojjera, mumanya ng’ebiseera eby’ebbugumu bituuse.
As soon as they shoot, you know, as you look at them, without being told, that summer is near.
31 Mu ngeri y’emu bwe muliraba ebintu nga bibaawo, nga mumanya nti obwakabaka bwa Katonda buli kumpi okutuuka.
And so may you, as soon as you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
32 “Ddala ddala mbagamba nti omulembe guno teguliggwaawo okutuusa ng’ebintu ebyo byonna bituukiridde.
I tell you that even the present generation will not pass away until all has taken place.
33 Eggulu n’ensi biriggwaawo, naye ebigambo byange tebigenda kuggwaawo.
The heavens and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
34 “Mwekuume muleme okwemalira mu binyumu n’okutamiira, n’okweraliikirira eby’obulamu, okujja kwange okw’amangu kuleme kubakwasa nga temugenderedde ng’abagudde mu mutego.
Be on your guard or your minds will become dulled by debauches or drunkenness or the anxieties of life, and ‘that day’ will close on you suddenly like a trap.
35 Kubanga olunaku olwo lulituuka ku buli muntu mu nsi yonna.
For it will come on all who are living upon the face of the whole earth.
36 Mutunule nga musaba Katonda buli kiseera, abawe amaanyi okubasobozesa okuwona ebintu ebyo byonna, Omwana w’Omuntu bw’alijja mulyoke musobole okuyimirira mu maaso ge.”
Be on the watch at all times, and pray that you may have strength to escape all that is destined to happen, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.”
37 Buli lunaku Yesu yayigirizanga mu Yeekaalu, bwe bwawungeeranga n’ava mu kibuga n’asula ku lusozi oluyitibwa olwa Zeyituuni.
During the days, Jesus continued to teach in the Temple Courts, but he went out and spent the nights on the hill called the ‘Mount of Olives.’
38 Mu makya abantu bonna ne bajjanga mu Yeekaalu okumuwuliriza.
And all the people would get up early in the morning and come to listen to him in the Temple Courts.
