1 Nze, Yuda, omuddu wa Yesu Kristo, era muganda wa Yakobo, mpandiikira abaagalwa bonna abaayitibwa mu Katonda Kitaffe, era abakuumibwa Yesu Kristo.
This letter comes from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and James' brother. I am writing to those who are called and loved by God the Father, and who are kept safe by Jesus Christ:
2 Ekisa kya Katonda, n’emirembe, n’okwagala byeyongerenga mu mmwe.
May God's mercy, peace, and love increase in your experience!
3 Abaagalwa, nnali neesunga nnyo okubawandiikira ku bulokozi bwaffe bwe ntyo nawalirizibwa okubawandiikira nga mbazzaamu amaanyi nga mbegayirira mulwanirire okukkiriza abatukuvu kwe baaweebwa omulundi ogumu.
My friends, I was already looking forward to writing to you about the salvation that we share. But now I need to write urgently to you and encourage you to vigorously defend the truth about God, given once and for all time to God's holy people.
4 Waliwo abantu abajja mu bubba, abaawandiikwako edda nga baasalirwa omusango, abatatya Katonda abajerega ekisa kya Katonda waffe, ne bakiyisaamu amaaso, ne beegaana Yesu Kristo Mukama waffe, omu yekka.
For some people have quietly crept in among you. They were written about and condemned a long time ago, for they are wicked people who pervert God's grace, turning it into a license to immorality, while also denying our Lord and master Jesus Christ.
5 Naye njagala okubajjukiza nti newaakubadde nga byonna mubimanyi, nga olunaku lumu Mukama yalokola eggwanga n’aliggya mu nsi y’e Misiri, oluvannyuma n’azikiriza abatakkiriza,
Even though you already know this, I want to remind you that though the Lord saved his people out of the land of Egypt, later he still destroyed those who disbelieved.
6 ne bamalayika abataakuuma kitiibwa kyabwe ne badda mu kukola bye baayagala ne balekulira n’ebifo byabwe, abo Katonda yabasiba mu njegere n’abassa mu kkomera ery’ekizikiza ekikutte gye balindiririra okusalirwa omusango. (aïdios )
Even those angels that were not content with their God-given positions but abandoned their rightful places—he has placed them in eternal chains of darkness until the great Day of Judgment. (aïdios )
7 Temusaanye kwerabira bibuga ebya Sodomu ne Ggomola n’ebibuga ebyali bibiriraanye. Byonna byali bijjudde kwegomba okubi n’obwenzi, nga n’abasajja bakolaganako eby’ensonyi. Ebibuga ebyo byazikirizibwa n’omuliro, era byabonerezebwa n’omuliro ogutaggwaawo bibeere ekyokulabirako gye tuli. (aiōnios )
In just the same way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns nearby that pursued immorality and perverted sex are provided as an example of those that experience the punishment of eternal fire. (aiōnios )
8 Mu ngeri y’emu abo abaloota bagwagwawaza omubiri, ate oludda ne banyooma obuyinza, ne bavvoola ne bamalayika.
Likewise these dreamers pollute their bodies, disregard authority, and insult heavenly beings.
9 Kale newaakubadde nga Mikayiri, ye malayika asinga obukulu, naye bwe yali akaayana ne Setaani ku mulambo gwa Musa, teyamuvuma wabula yagamba bugambi nti, “Mukama akunenye!”
Even the archangel Michael, when he was arguing with the devil over Moses' body, didn't dare to condemn him with a slanderous insult, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you.”
10 Naye kale abantu bano bavvoola kye batategeera, era okufaanana ng’ensolo obusolo bakola buli kye baagala, era ebyo bibaleetedde okuzikirira.
But these people ridicule whatever they don't understand; and what they do understand they instinctively follow like unthinking animals—this is what destroys them.
11 Zibasanze abo! Kubanga bagoberera ekkubo lya Kayini, era bakola buli kye basobola okufunamu ensimbi okufaanana nga Balamu, era ne bajeemera Katonda nga Koola bwe yakola, noolwekyo balizikirizibwa.
They're in terrible trouble! For they have followed Cain's way. Like Balaam and his delusion, they have abandoned themselves to the profit motive. Like Korah and his rebellion, they have destroyed themselves.
12 Abantu bano bwe bajja ne babeegattamu nga muli ku mbaga zammwe ez’okumanyagana, baba ng’amabala amabi, nga tebatya, nga beefaako bokka, nga bali ng’ebire ebitaliimu mazzi ebitwalibwa empewo; oba ng’emiti egiwaatudde, egitaliiko bibala, egyafa emirundi ebiri, egyakuulibwa n’emirandira;
These people spoil your fellowship meals, for they are selfish shepherds that don't have the slightest sense of shame—they only take care of themselves. They're clouds blown along by the wind that bring no rain. They're bare trees without fruit—twice dead, pulled out by the roots.
13 oba ng’amayengo ag’oku nnyanja agasiikuuse, ebikolwa byabwe ne bibaswaza; oba ng’emmunyeenye eziva mu kkubo lyazo, eziterekeddwa ekizikiza ekikutte ennyo eky’olubeerera. (aiōn )
They're violent ocean waves, foaming in their own disgrace. They're false stars, doomed forever to utter darkness. (aiōn )
14 Enoka eyaliwo nga wayiseewo emirembe musanvu okuva ku Adamu, abantu bano yaboogerako eby’obunnabbi nti, “Mulabe Mukama ajja n’abatukuvu be abangi ennyo.
Enoch, seven generations on from Adam, spoke prophetically about these people: “Look! The Lord is coming, together with thousands and thousands of his holy ones
15 Alireeta abantu bonna mu maaso ge basalirwe omusango mu bwenkanya olw’ebikolwa byabwe bonna abatatya Katonda, bye baakola mu bugenderevu, n’olw’ebigambo byonna ebizibu abakozi b’ebibi bye bamwogeddeko eby’obutatya Katonda.”
to judge everyone, to reveal all the wicked things people have done, and all the terrible things hostile sinners have said against him.”
16 Beemulugunya, era bakola buli kye beegomba, era nga boogerera waggulu ebigambo eby’okweraga; era olaba bassizzaamu omuntu ekitiibwa ng’omanya nti balina kye bamwagalako.
Such people are grumblers, always complaining. They follow their own evil desires, speaking boastfully about themselves, and flattering others to get what they want.
17 Naye mmwe, abaagalwa, mujjukire abatume ba Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo ebigambo bye baayogera edda
But you, my dear friends, please remember what you were told by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
18 bwe baabagamba nti, “Mu nnaku ez’oluvannyuma walijjawo abantu abalibasekerera, nga beegomba nga bwe baagala, nga batambulira mu bitasiimibwa Katonda.”
They explained to you that in the last times mockers would come, following their own wicked desires.
19 Abo be bo abaleeta enjawukana, ab’omubiri obubiri era abatalina Mwoyo Mutukuvu.
They cause divisions; they are worldly people who don't have the Spirit.
20 Naye mmwe, abaagalwa, musaana okuzimba obulamu bwammwe nga bweyongera okuba obw’amaanyi, nga mubuzimbira ku musingi ogw’okukkiriza kwammwe okutukuvu, era nga musaba mu Mwoyo Mutukuvu,
But you, my friends, are to build yourselves up through your trust in God. Pray in the Holy Spirit,
21 nga mwekuumira mu kwagala kwa Katonda, nga mwesunga okusaasira kwa Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo olw’obulamu obutaggwaawo. (aiōnios )
keep yourselves safe in God's love, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ who brings eternal life. (aiōnios )
22 Mubeerenga ba kisa eri abo ababuusabuusa mu kukkiriza,
Show kindness to those who doubt.
23 n’abalala mufubenga okubawonya nga mubakwakkula mu nnimi z’omuliro, n’abalala mubatuuse eri Mukama nga muyita mu kubalaga ekisa ng’aboonoonyi, wabula mukyawe ekyambalo, ekijjudde amabala agakiteekeddwako omubiri gwabwe.
Save those you can by snatching them out of the fire. Show mercy—but with great care, hating even the “clothing” that is contaminated by sinful human nature.
24 Katonda asobola okubawanirira muleme okuva mu kkubo lye, era n’okubatuusa mu maaso ge ag’ekitiibwa nga temuliiko kamogo era nga mujjudde essanyu;
Now to him who can keep you from falling, and who can bring you into his glorious presence without fault, and with great joy,
25 Katonda oyo omu yekka atulokola okuyita mu Yesu Kristo Mukama waffe, agulumizibwe era atenderezebwenga olw’amaanyi ge n’obuyinza bwe, okuva ku mirembe gyonna egyayita, ne kaakano era ne mu mirembe egitaliggwaawo! Amiina. (aiōn )
to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, now, and forever. Amen. (aiōn )
