1 N’akalulu akookubiri kaagwa ku Simyoni, kye kika ky’abaana ba Simyoni ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali n’omugabo gwabwe bwe gwali mu makkati g’omugabo gw’ekika kya Yuda.
The second/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Simeon. Each clan in that tribe was allotted some land that was inside the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Judah.
2 Kyali kitwaliramu Beeruseba, oba Seba, ne Molada,
Their land included the towns of Beersheba ([which is also named] Sheba), Moladah,
3 ne Kazalusuwali ne Bala, ne Ezemu,
Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 ne Erutoladi ne Besuli, ne Koluma,
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 ne Zikulagi ne Besumalukabosi, ne Kazalususa
Ziklag, Beth-Marcaboth. Hazar-Susah,
6 ne Besulebaosi ne Salukeni ebibuga kkumi na bisatu n’ebyalo byabyo.
Beth-Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. Altogether there were 13 towns and the surrounding villages.
7 Ayini ne Limmoni ne Eseri, ne Asani ebibuga bina n’ebyalo byabyo,
The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.
8 n’ebyalo byonna ebyetoolodde ebibuga ebyo okutuuka ku Baalasubeeri, ye Laama ekiri mu bukiikaddyo. Ebyo bye bitundu abaana ba Simyoni bye baagabana ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali.
They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is [also named] Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.
9 Ettaka abaana ba Simyoni lye baagabana lyali wamu n’ery’abaana ba Yuda. Kubanga omugabo gw’abaana ba Yuda gwabasukkirira obunene; abaana ba Simyoni kyebaava bagabana wakati mu bitundu by’omugabo gwabwe.
The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.
10 Akakulu akookusatu ne kagwa ku kika kya Zebbulooni, ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali. Era n’omugabo gwabwe ne gutuukira ddala ku Salidi.
The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid [city].
11 Ensalo yaabwe n’eraga ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba n’etuuka e Malala, n’etuuka n’e Dabbesesi; ng’egendera ku kagga akali ku buvanjuba bwa Yokuneamu.
It extended west to Maralah [city] and on to Dabbesheth [city], and on to the brook just north of Jokneam [city].
12 Okuva ebuvanjuba wa Salidi ne yeeyongerayo enjuba gy’eva ng’egendera ku nsalo y’e Kisulosutaboli, ne Daberasi, ne yeebalama Yafiya.
The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor [city] and on to Daberath [town] and on to Japhia [town].
13 Okuva eyo n’edda ebuvanjuba e Gasukeferi, okudda e Esukazini; ne yeeyongerayo e Limmoni, n’edda ku luuyi oluliko Nea.
From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher [city] and Eth-Kazin [town], and north to Rimmon [city]. From there the border extended [west] to Neah [town].

From Neah it extended south to Hannathon [city] and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.
15 ne Kattasi, ne Nakalali, ne Simuloni, ne Idala, ne Besirekemu, ebibuga kkumi na bibiri, n’ebyalo byabyo.
Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.
16 Ogwo gwe mugabo gw’abaana ba Zebbulooni ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali, ebibuga ebyo n’ebyalo byabyo.
That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.
17 Akalulu akookuna ne kagwa ku Isakaali, lye zadde lya Isakaali ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali:
The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.
18 Omugabo gwabwe gwalimu Yezuleeri ne Kesulosi ne Sunemu,
Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19 ne Kafalaimu ne Sioni ne Anakalasi,
Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 ne Labbisi ne Kisioni ne Ebezi,
Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 ne Lemesi ne Engannimu ne Enkadda ne Besupazzezi.
Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.
22 Ensalo n’ekwata ku Taboli ne Sakazuma ne Besusemesi n’ekoma ku mugga Yoludaani. Ebibuga byonna awamu byali kkumi na mukaaga n’ebyalo byabyo.
The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh [cities], and ended [in the east] at the Jordan [River]. Altogether there were 16 cities and the surrounding villages.
23 Ogwo gwe mugabo gw’ekika ky’abaana ba Isakaali ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali, ebibuga n’ebyalo byabyo.
Those cities and villages were in the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Issachar.
24 N’akalulu akookutaano ne kagwa ku kika ky’abaana ba Aseri ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali.
The fifth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Asher. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
25 Ekitundu kyabwe kyalimu Kerukasi ne Kali ne Beteni ne Akusafu,
Their land included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
26 ne Alammereki ne Amadi ne Misali ne kituuka ku Kalumeeri ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba ne ku Sikolulibunasi,
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. The western border started at Carmel [Mountain] and Shihor-Libnath.
27 ne kidda ebuvanjuba ne kyeyongerayo ku Besudagoni ne kituuka ku Zebbulooni ne ku kiwonvu Ifutakeri ku luuyi olw’omu bukiikakkono okutuuka ku Besuemeki ne Neyeri ne kikoma ku Kabuli mu bukiikakkono.
From there it extended [southeast] to Beth-Dagon [town], and then to [the area that was allotted to the tribe of] Zebulun and Iphtah-El Valley. From there the border extended east and then north to Beth-Emek [town] and Neiel and Cabul [towns].
28 Ne kyeyongerayo ku Ebuloni ne Lekobu ne Kammoni ne Kana okutuuka ku Sidoni Ekinene.
From there it extended west to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah [cities], and continued to Sidon, which is a big city.
29 Ensalo n’edda ku Laama n’ekibuga ekiriko ekigo ekya Tuulo ne kyeyongerayo e Kosa n’eryoka ekoma ku nnyanja mu nsi eriraanye Akuzibu,
From there the border extended south toward Ramah and to the big city of Tyre that had strong walls around it. From there the border extended [west] to Hosah [town] and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. Within their area were the towns of Aczib,
30 ne Uma ne Afiki ne Lekobu byonna awamu ebibuga amakumi abiri n’ebyalo byabyo.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. Altogether there were 22 towns and their surrounding villages.
31 Ogwo gwe gwali omugabo gw’ekika ky’abaana ba Aseri ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali, ebibuga n’ebyalo byabyo.
Those cities and villages were within the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Asher.
32 Akalulu akoomukaaga ne kagwa ku Nafutaali, be baana ba Nafutaali ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali.
The sixth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Naphtali. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
33 N’ensalo yaabwe n’eva ku mwera oguli mu Zaanannimu e Kerefu ne Adaminekebu ne Yabuneeri okutuuka ku Lakkumu n’eryoka ekoma ku mugga Yoludaani.
The border of their land started [in the west] at the [huge] oak tree at Zaanannim, near Heleph [town]. It extended [east] through Adami-Nekeb [city] and Jabneel, and then to Lakkum, and ended at the Jordan [River].
34 N’ewetera ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba n’etuuka ku Azunnosutaboli ne yeeyongerayo ku Kukkoki, ne yeeyongerayo e Zebbulooni mu bukiikaddyo, n’ekwata ku Aseri mu bugwanjuba, ne ku Yuda ekiri ku Yoludaani ebuvanjuba.
The western boundary extended through Aznoth-Tabor as far as Hukkok [city]. It extended to the borders of [the tribe of] Zebulun at the south, to [the border of the tribe of] Asher on the west, and the Jordan [River] at the east.
35 N’ebibuga ebiriko ebigo byali Ziddimu, ne Zeri, ne Kammasi, ne Lakkasi, ne Kinneresi,
[Within their land were] several cities with strong walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
36 ne Adama ne Laama ne Kazoli,
Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
37 ne Kasedi ne Ederei, ne Enkazoli,
Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor,
38 ne Ironi ne Migudaleri, ne Kolemu ne Besuanasi ne Besusemesi, ebibuga kkumi na mwenda n’ebyalo byabyo.
Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether there were 19 cities and the surrounding villages.
39 Ogwo gwe gwali omugabo gw’ekika ky’abaana ba Nafutaali ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali, ebibuga n’ebyalo byabyo.
Those cities and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Naphtali.
40 Akalulu akoomusanvu kaagwa ku kika ky’abaana ba Ddaani ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali.
The seventh/last tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Dan. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
41 N’ekitundu ky’omugabo gwabwe ne kitwaliramu Zola ne Esutaoli ne Irusemesi
Their land included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh,
42 ne Saalabbini ne Ayalooni ne Isula
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
43 ne Eroni ne Timuna ne Ekuloni
Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
44 ne Eruteke ne Gibbesoni ne Baalasi
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 ne Yekudi ne Beneberaki ne Gasulimmoni
Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon,
46 ne Meyalakoni ne Lakoni n’ensalo etunuulidde Yafo.
Me-Jarkon, Rakkon, and the area near Joppa.
47 Naye abaana ba Ddaani baalina obuzibu okutwala omugabo gwabwe ne bagenda ne balumba Lesemu ne bakiwangula ne batta abantu baamu n’ekitala ne babeera omwo, ne bakituuma Ddaani ly’erinnya lya jjajjaabwe.
But the people of the tribe of Dan were unable to take control of the land that had been allotted to them. So they went [northeast] and fought against the people in Leshem [city]. They defeated and killed all the people who lived there. Then they began to live in Leshem, and changed the name of the city to Dan, the man from whom their tribe descended.
48 Ogwo gwe mugabo gw’abaana ba Ddaani ng’ennyumba zaabwe bwe zaali.
All of those towns and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans in the tribe of Dan.
49 Nga bamaze okugabana ensi mu bitundu eby’enjawulo abaana ba Isirayiri ne bawa Yoswa mutabani wa Nuuni omugabo mu bo
After the Israeli leaders divided the land among the tribes, they allotted some land to Joshua.
50 ng’ekiragiro kya Mukama bwe kyali, ne bamuwa ekibuga kye yasaba, Timunasusera mu nsi ey’ensozi eya Efulayimu. Omwo mwe yazimba ekibuga mwe yabeera.
They allotted to him Timnath-Serah. Yahweh had said that he could have whatever city he wanted, and that was the city that he chose. It was in the hilly region which was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua rebuilt the city and lived there.

Those were the areas that were allotted to the various tribes of Israel. Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of each tribe divided up the land while they were all at Shiloh, by (casting lots/throwing marked stones) [to decide which area each tribe would receive]. They did that while Yahweh was watching, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. In that way they completed dividing up the land.
