< Yoweeri 3 >
1 “Mu nnaku ezo, era mu biseera ebyo, Yuda n’ekibuga Yerusaalemi ndibiddiza emikisa gyabyo nga bwe gyabanga edda.
For, in those days and in that time, when I bring back again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 Ndikuŋŋaanya abamawanga bonna ne mbaserengesa mu kiwonvu Yekosafaati, ne mbasalira omusango olwa byonna bye baakola abantu bange Abayisirayiri ab’obusika bwange. Kubanga baasaasaanya Abayisirayiri mu mawanga, ne bagabana ensi yange.
I will also gather all the nations and bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and there I will enter into judgment with them for my people and my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided my land.
3 Baagabana abantu bange nga babakubirako obululu; ne batunda abalenzi olw’abakazi bamalaaya, n’abawala ne babatundamu omwenge ne beenywera.
They have cast lots for my people. They have traded boys for prostitutes, and sold girls for wine, and drunk it.
4 “Mwe Ttuulo ne Sidoni n’enjuyi zonna ez’Abafirisuuti, mmwe b’ani ku Nze? Nnina kye nabakola kye mugezaako okwesasuza? Bwe munaaba nga mugezaako kwesasuza, ebikolwa byammwe nzija kubibakyusizaako mangwago.
What are you to me, Tyre and Sidon and all the districts of Philistia? Were you repaying any deed of mine, or were you doing something for me? Quickly will I return your deed upon your heads.
5 Kubanga mwatwala effeeza yange ne zaabu yange n’ebintu byange eby’omuwendo omungi ne mubissa mu masabo gammwe.
You who have taken my silver and my gold, and you have brought my goodly jewels into your palaces,
6 Mwatwala abantu b’omu Yuda ne mu Yerusaalemi ne mubatunza Abayonaani.
you have sold the people of Judah and of Jerusalem to the Greeks, so that you might remove them far from their own borders.
7 “Laba, ndibaggyayo mu mawanga gye mwabatunda; mmwe mbakole nga bwe mwabakola.
I am about to stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and I will turn your deeds upon your own head.
8 Batabani bammwe ne bawala bammwe ndibaguza batabani ba Yuda, nabo balibaguza abantu ab’omu ggwanga ery’ewala ennyo, ery’e Seba.” Ebyo Mukama y’abyogedde.
I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a nation far off, for the Lord has spoken.
9 Bakabona mulangirire mu mawanga bwe muti nti, Mwetegekere olutalo! Muyite abalwanyi bammwe ab’amaanyi, buli mulwanyi yenna asembere ajje mu lutalo.
Proclaim this among the nations, sanctify war. Arouse the warriors, let all the fighting men muster and go up.
10 Enkumbi zammwe muziweeseemu ebitala, n’obwambe bwammwe mubuweeseemu amafumu; omunafu agambe nti, “Ndi wa maanyi.”
Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into lances; let the weak say, I, indeed, am strong.
11 Mujje mangu mwe mwenna abamawanga agatwetoolodde, mukuŋŋaanire mu kiwonvu. Ayi Mukama, weereza eggye lyo libalumbe.
Bestir yourselves and come, all you nations round about. Quickly gather yourselves together, ask the Lord to bring his warriors.
12 “Amawanga geeteeketeeke gajje mu kiwonvu ekya Yekosafaati; kubanga eyo gye ndisinzira ne nsalira amawanga gonna ageetoolodde wano omusango.
Let the nations rouse themselves and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there will I sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
13 Kozesa oluwabyo lwo, kubanga ekiseera eky’amakungula kituuse. Mujje mubabetente nga bwe mulinnyirira emizabbibu mu ssogolero okutuusa envinnyo lw’ekulukuta, ekibi kyabwe kinene nnyo.”
Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; go in, tread, for the wine press is full. The vats overflow, for great is their wickedness.
14 Abantu bukadde na bukadde abali mu kiwonvu eky’okusalirwamu omusango! Kubanga olunaku lwa Mukama lusembedde lwaliramulirako mu kiwonvu eky’okusalirwamu omusango.
Noisy multitudes, noisy multitudes in the valley of decision. For near is the Lord’s day in the valley of decision!
15 Ekizikiza kibuutikidde enjuba n’omwezi, n’emmunyeenye tezikyayaka.
Sun and moon have turned dark, and the stars withdrawn their shining.
16 Mukama aliwuluguma ng’ayima ku Sayuuni; alibwatuka n’eddoboozi lye ng’asinziira mu Yerusaalemi. Eggulu n’ensi birikankana. Naye Mukama aliba ekiddukiro ky’abantu be, era ekigo ky’abaana ba Isirayiri eky’amaanyi.
Whenever the Lord roars from Zion and utters his voice from Jerusalem, earth and sky quake; but the Lord is a refuge to his people, and a fortress to the people of Israel.
17 “Kale mulimanya nga Nze Mukama Katonda wammwe, abeera ku lusozi lwange olutukuvu Sayuuni. Era Yerusaalemi kinaabeeranga kitukuvu, nga ne bannamawanga tebakyakirumba.
And you will know that I am the Lord your God, I who dwells in Zion, my holy mountain, and Jerusalem will be holy, and strangers will not pass through her any more.
18 “Olunaku luli bwe lulituuka, ensozi ziritonnyesa wayini omuggya, n’obusozi bulikulukusa amata, n’emigga gyonna egya Yuda emikalu girikulukusa amazzi. Ensulo eriva mu nnyumba ya Mukama n’efukirira ekiwonvu kya Sittimu.
In that day, the mountains will drop sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the channels of Judah will flow with water, a fountain will spring from the house of Judah, and will water the Valley of Shittim.
19 Misiri erifuuka amatongo n’ensi ya Edomu erifuuka ddungu jjereere olw’ebikolobero bye baakola ku bantu ba Yuda, ensi mwe battira abantu abatalina musango.
Egypt will become a desolation, and Edom a wilderness, because of the violence done to the people of Judah, because they shed innocent blood in their land,
20 Naye mu Yuda mulibeeramu abantu ennaku zonna, ne Yerusaalemi kiribeerawo emirembe gyonna.
Judah will remain inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 Ndyesasuza olw’omusaayi ogw’abo abattibwa, era teriba mutemu asonyiyibwa.
I will avenge their blood which I have not yet avenged. The Lord lives in Zion!
