< Yobu 37 >
1 “Kino kikankanya omutima gwange, ne gubuuka okuva mu kifo kyagwo.
At this also my heart trembles, and is moved out of his place.
2 Wuliriza okubwatuka kw’eddoboozi lye, n’okuwuluguma okuva mu kamwa ke.
Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth.
3 Asumulula eggulu ne limyansa wansi w’eggulu wonna, n’aliragira ligende ku nkomerero y’ensi.
He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
4 Kino oluggwa, okuwuluguma kw’eddoboozi lye kwe kuddako, abwatuka n’eddoboozi lye ery’omwanguka, era eddoboozi lye bwe liwulirwa, tewabaawo kisigala nga bwe kibadde.
After it a voice roars: he thunders with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
5 Eddoboozi lya Katonda libwatuka mu ngeri ey’ekitalo; akola ebintu ebikulu ebisukka okutegeera kwaffe.
God thunders marvelously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend.
6 Agamba omuzira nti, ‘Ggwa ku nsi,’ ate eri enkuba etonnya nti, ‘Ttonnya nnyo.’
For he says to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
7 Emirimu gya buli muntu giyimirira, buli omu n’alyoka amanya amaanyi ga Katonda.
He seals up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
8 Ensolo ne ziryoka zessogga empuku zaazo, ne zigenda zeekukuma.
Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
9 Omuyaga ne gulyoka guva mu nnyumba yaagwo, n’obunnyogovu ne buva mu mpewo ekuŋŋunta.
Out of the south comes the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
10 Omuzira ne guva mu mukka gwa Katonda n’amazzi amangi ne gekwata kitole.
By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11 Ebire abijjuza amatondo g’amazzi, n’asaasaanya okumyansa kw’eggulu.
Also by watering he wearies the thick cloud: he scatters his bright cloud:
12 Byetooloolatooloola nga y’abiragira, ne bituukiriza byonna by’abiragira, ku nsi yonna okubeera abantu.
And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatever he commands them on the face of the world in the earth.
13 Bwe kuba kubonereza, oba okufukirira ensi oba okulaga okwagala kwe, atonnyesa enkuba.
He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
14 “Wuliriza kino Yobu; sooka oyimirire olowooze ku bikolwa bya Katonda eby’ettendo.
Listen to this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15 Omanyi Katonda engeri gy’alagiramu ebire, n’aleetera eggulu okumyansa?
Do you know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
16 Omanyi engeri ebire gye bituulamu mu bbanga, amakula g’emirimu gy’oyo eyatuukirira mu kumanya?
Do you know the balancing of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
17 Ggwe alina ebyambalo ebibuguma, ensi bw’eba ng’ekkakkanyizibbwa embuyaga ez’obukiikaddyo,
How your garments are warm, when he quiets the earth by the south wind?
18 oyinza okumwegattako ne mubamba eggulu, eryaguma ne libeera ng’endabirwamu ensanuuse?
Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
19 “Tubuulire kye tunaamugamba; tetusobola kuwoza nsonga zaffe gy’ali olw’ekizikiza kye tulimu.
Teach us what we shall say to him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
20 Asaanidde okubuulirwa kye njagala okwogera? Eriyo omuntu yenna ayinza okusaba okumalibwawo?
Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
21 Kaakano tewali n’omu ayinza kutunula mu njuba, olw’engeri gy’eyakamu ku ggulu, ng’empewo emaze okuyita, n’eyelula ebire.
And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passes, and cleans them.
22 Mu bukiikakkono evaayo zaabu; Katonda ajja mu kitiibwa eky’amaanyi.
Fair weather comes out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
23 Ayinzabyonna tatuukikako era agulumidde mu maanyi, mu bwenkanya bwe era ne butuukirivu bwe, tawaliriza muntu yenna.
Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
24 Noolwekyo abantu bamutya, takitwala ng’ekikulu olw’abo abeerowooza okuba abagezi mu mitima gyabwe.”
Men do therefore fear him: he respects not any that are wise of heart.
