< Yobu 36 >
1 Eriku ne yeeyongera okwogera nti,
Elihu also continued, and said,
2 “Yongera okuŋŋumiikirizaako katono nkulage, nkyalina bye nnina okwogera ebifa ku Katonda.
“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
3 Amagezi ge nnina gava wala, era mmanyi nga Omutonzi wange alamula mu bwenkanya.
I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4 Eky’amazima ebigambo byange si bikyamu, oyo akakasa by’amanyi y’ayogera naawe.
For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
5 “Laba, Katonda wa buyinza, tanyooma bantu; w’amaanyi, anywerera ku bigendererwa bye.
“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
6 Talamya bakozi ba bibi, era awa ababonyaabonyezebwa ebibasaanira.
He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted.
7 Taggya maaso ge ku batuukirivu, abatuuza ku ntebe ey’obwakabaka n’abagulumiza emirembe n’emirembe.
He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
8 Naye abantu bwe baba basibiddwa enjegere nga banywezeddwa n’emiguwa egy’okulumwa
If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
9 n’abategeeza ensobi zaabwe, n’okwonoona kwabwe, nti, beewaggudde,
then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.
10 aggula amatu gaabwe bawulirize okunenyezebwa n’abalagira beenenye ekibi kyabwe.
He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
11 Bwe bamugondera ne bamuweereza, ennaku zaabwe zonna balizimala mu kwesiima, era n’emyaka gyabwe mu kusanyuka.
If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 Naye bwe batamugondera, baalizikirizibwa n’ekitala, bafe nga tebalina magezi.
But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.
13 “Ab’emitima egitatya Katonda baba n’obukyayi. Ne bw’abasiba, tebamukaabirira abasumulule.
“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.
14 Bafiira mu buvubuka bwabwe era obulamu bwabwe buzikiririra mu basajja abenzi.
They die in youth. Their life perishes amongst the unclean.
15 Anunula anyigirizibwa mu kubonaabona kwe, n’aggula okutu kwe mu kujoogebwa kwe.
He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
16 “Akusendasenda okukuggya mu kamwa k’okubonaabona, akuteeke mu kifo ekigazi ekitaliimu kuziyizibwa, omanye emirembe gy’emeeza yo ejjudde emmere ennungi.
Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
17 Naye kaakano weetisse omugugu ogw’okusalirwa omusango abakozi b’ebibi gwe basaanira; okusalirwa omusango n’obwenkanya byakunyweza.
“But you are full of the judgement of the wicked. Judgement and justice take hold of you.
18 Weegendereze oleme kukkiriza kusendebwasendebwa; obunene bw’enguzi buleme okukukyamya.
Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
19 Obugagga bwo oba okufuba kwo kwonna binaakuyamba okukuggya mu buyinike?
Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
20 Teweegomba budde bwa kiro olyoke owalule abantu okuva mu bifo byabwe.
Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
21 Weegendereze oleme kukola bitali bya butuukirivu, by’osinga okwagala okukira okubonyaabonyezebwa.
Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
22 “Laba Katonda yagulumira mu maanyi ge; ani ayigiriza nga ye?
Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
23 Ani eyali amukubidde amakubo, oba okumugamba nti, ‘Ky’okoze si kituufu?’
Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness’?
24 Jjukira ng’oteekwa okugulumizanga emirimu gye, abantu gye bayimba mu nnyimba.
“Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung.
25 Abantu bonna baagiraba, omuntu agirengerera wala.
All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off.
26 Laba, Katonda agulumizibwe! Assukiridde okutegeera kwaffe; obungi bw’emyaka gye tebunoonyezeka.
Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
27 “Kubanga akuŋŋaanya amatondo g’amazzi, agafuuka enkuba etonnya mu bugga;
For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapour,
28 ebire bivaamu amazzi gaabyo, enkuba n’ekuba abantu.
which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
29 Ani ayinza okutegeera engeri gy’asaasaanyamu ebire, okubwatuka okuva ku kituuti kye?
Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunderings of his pavilion?
30 Laba, asaasaanya okumyansa kw’eggulu, era n’abikka obuziba bw’ennyanja.
Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
31 Eyo y’engeri gy’afugamu amawanga, n’agawa emmere mu bungi.
For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
32 Emikono gye agijjuza eraddu, n’agiragira ekube ebifo bye yeerondeddemu.
He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
33 Okubwatuka kwayo kulangirira kibuyaga ajja, n’ente ne zirangirira okujja kwayo.”
Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also, concerning the storm that comes up.
