1 “Yimba ggwe omugumba atazaalanga; tandika okuyimbira mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka osanyukire ddala ggwe atalumwanga kuzaala. Kubanga ggwe eyalekebwa ojja kuba n’abaana bangi okusinga oyo akyalina bba,” bw’ayogera Mukama.
Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
2 “Gaziya weema yo, owanvuye emiguwa gyayo, tokwata mpola; nyweza enkondo zo.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations; spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.
3 Kubanga olisaasaanira ku mukono gwo ogwa ddyo era n’ogwa kkono, n’ezzadde lyo lirirya amawanga, era abantu bo balituula mu bibuga ebyalekebwa awo ebyereere.
For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 “Totya kubanga toliddayo kukwatibwa nsonyi. Toggwaamu maanyi kubanga togenda kuswazibwa. Olyerabira ensonyi z’obuvubuka bwo, n’ekivume ky’obwannamwandu bwo tolikijjukira nate.
Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more.
5 Kubanga Omutonzi wo ye balo, Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye lye linnya lye. Omutukuvu wa Isirayiri ye Mununuzi wo, Katonda ow’ensi yonna, bw’ayitibwa.
For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is thy redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 Kubanga Mukama Katonda yakuyita okomewo, ng’omukazi eyali alekeddwawo ng’alina ennaku ku mutima; omukazi eyafumbirwa ng’akyali muto, n’alekebwawo,” bw’ayogera Katonda wo.
For the LORD hath called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off, saith thy God.
7 “Nakulekako akaseera katono nnyo; naye ndikukuŋŋaanya n’okusaasira okungi.
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 Obusungu obubuubuuka bwe bwankwata nakweka amaaso gange okumala ekiseera, naye ndikukwatirwa ekisa n’okwagala okutaliggwaawo,” bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda, Omununuzi wo.
In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy redeemer.
9 “Kubanga gye ndi, bino biri nga bwe byali mu biseera bya Nuuwa. Nga bwe nalayira nti amazzi ga Nuuwa tegagenda kuddamu kulabikako ku nsi, bwe ntyo ndayira nti siriddayo kukusunguwalira wadde okukunenya.
For this is [as] the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 Kubanga ensozi ziyinza okuvaawo n’obusozi okuggyibwawo naye okwagala kwange okutaggwaawo tekulisagaasagana so n’endagaano yange ey’emirembe teriggyibwawo,” bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda akusaasira.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
11 Mukama agamba nti, “Ggwe Yerusaalemi ekibuga ekibonyaabonyezebwa, ekisuukundibwa emiyaga awatali kulaba ku mirembe; laba ndikuzimba buto n’amayinja ag’amabala amalungi, emisingi gyo ne gizimbibwa ne safiro.
O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 Ebitikkiro byo ndibikola n’amayinja amatwakaavu, n’emiryango gyo ne ngikola ne kabunkulo, ne bbugwe yenna ne mwetoolooza amayinja ag’omuwendo.
And I will make thy pinnacles of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy border of pleasant stones.
13 N’abaana bo bonna baliyigirizibwa Mukama; n’emirembe gy’abaana bo giriba mingi.
And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14 Olinywezebwa mu butuukirivu era toojoogebwenga, kubanga tolitya, onoobanga wala n’entiisa kubanga terikusemberera.
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.
15 Omuntu yenna bwakulumbanga kiriba tekivudde gye ndi. Buli anaakulumbanga anaawangulwanga ku lulwo.
Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee.
16 Laba nze natonda omuweesi, awujja amanda agaliko omuliro n’aweesa ekyokulwanyisa olw’omugaso gwakyo. Era nze natonda abazikiriza abakozesa ekyokulwanyisa okumalawo obulamu.
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the fire of coals, and bringeth forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 Naye teri kyakulwanyisa kye baliweesa ekirikwolekera ne kikusobola, era oliwangula buli lulimi olulikuvunaana era oluwoza naawe. Guno gwe mugabo gw’abaddu ba Mukama, n’obutuukirivu bwabwe obuva gye ndi,” bw’ayogera Mukama.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness which is of me, saith the LORD.
