< Isaaya 15 >
1 Mu kiro kimu kyokka Ali ekya Mowaabu kirizikirizibwa ne kimalibwawo. Kiiri ekya Mowaabu nakyo ne kizikirizibwa mu kiro!
This is the burden against Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is devastated, destroyed in a night!
2 Abantu b’e Diboni bambuse ku lusozi okukaabira mu ssabo lyabwe. Abantu ba Mowaabu bakaaba bakungubagira ebibuga byabwe ebya Nebo ne Medeba. Buli mutwe gwonna gumwereddwako enviiri na buli kirevu kyonna kimwereddwa.
Dibon goes up to its temple to weep at its high places. Moab wails over Nebo, as well as over Medeba. Every head is shaved, every beard is cut off.
3 Beesibye ebibukutu mu nguudo; ku nnyumba waggulu era ne mu bibangirize ebinene eby’omu bibuga bakaaba. Buli muntu atema emiranga n’abikaabira amaziga amayitirivu.
In its streets they wear sackcloth; on the rooftops and in the public squares they all wail, falling down weeping.
4 Kesuboni ne Ereyale bakaaba mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka, n’amaloboozi gaabwe gawulikika e Yakazi. Abasajja ba Mowaabu abalina ebyokulwanyisa kyebava bakaaba mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka, emmeeme ekankanira munda mu Mowaabu.
Heshbon and Elealeh cry out; their voices are heard as far as Jahaz. Therefore the soldiers of Moab cry out; their souls tremble within.
5 Omutima gwange gukaabira Mowaabu; abantu be babundabunda, baddukira e Zowaali ne Yegulasuserisiya. Bambuka e Lakisi nga bwe bakaaba; bakaabira mu kkubo ery’e Kolonayimu nga boogera ku kuzikirizibwa kwabwe.
My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath-shelishiyah. With weeping they ascend the slope of Luhith; they lament their destruction on the road to Horonaim.
6 Amazzi g’e Nimulimu gakalidde, omuddo guwotose, omuddo omugonvu, guggwaawo, tewali kintu kimera.
The waters of Nimrim are dried up, and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone, and the greenery is no more.
7 Abantu basomoka akagga ak’enzingu nga badduka n’ebintu byabwe bye baafuna ne babitereka.
So they carry their wealth and belongings over the Brook of the Willows.
8 Okukaaba kwetooloodde ensalo za Mowaabu; amaloboozi gatuuse e Yegalayimu, n’ebiwoobe ne bituuka e Beererimu.
For their outcry echoes to the border of Moab. Their wailing reaches Eglaim; it is heard in Beer-elim.
9 Amazzi g’e Diboni gajjudde omusaayi, naye ndyongera okuleeta ebirala ku Diboni; empologoma egwe ku abo abalisigalawo mu Mowaabu, ne ku abo abalisigalawo ku nsi.
The waters of Dimon are full of blood, but I will bring more upon Dimon— a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon the remnant of the land.
