< Abaebbulaniya 9 >
1 Endagaano ey’olubereberye, yalina amateeka agaalagirwa ag’okusinzanga Katonda, era waaliwo n’eweema entukuvu ey’oku nsi.
Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.
2 Mu weema eno mwalimu ebisenge bibiri. Mu kisenge ekisooka nga mwe muli ekikondo ekya zaabu eky’ettaala, n’emmeeza okwabeeranga emigaati emyawule, ekisenge kino kyayitibwanga Ekifo Ekitukuvu.
A tabernacle was prepared. In its first room were the lampstand, the table, and the consecrated bread. This was called the Holy Place.
3 Era waaliwo olutimbe olwokubiri ng’emabega waalwo we wali ekifo ekiyitibwa Awatukuvu w’Awatukuvu.
Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
4 Mu kifo ekyo mwalimu ekyoterezo ky’obubaane ekya zaabu, n’essanduuko ey’endagaano, eyabikkibwako zaabu ku buli ludda. Mu ssanduuko nga mulimu ekibya ekya zaabu ekyalimu emmaanu, n’omuggo gwa Alooni nga gutojjedde, n’ebipande eby’amayinja eby’Amateeka Ekkumi eby’endagaano.
containing the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
5 Ku kisaanikira ky’essanduuko nga kuliko bakerubbi ab’ekitiibwa nga basiikirizza entebe ey’okusaasira; ebintu ebyo tetuyinza kubyogerako kaakano kinnakimu.
Above the ark were the cherubim of glory, overshadowing the mercy seat. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
6 Ebintu byonna nga bimaze okutegekebwa bwe bityo, bakabona baayingiranga mu kisenge ekisooka buli lunaku ne bakola emirimu gyabwe egy’okuweereza.
When everything had been prepared in this way, the priests entered regularly into the first room to perform their sacred duties.
7 Naye Kabona Asinga Obukulu yekka ye yayingiranga mu kisenge eky’omunda omulundi gumu buli mwaka. Yagendangayo n’omusaayi, gwe yawangayo ku lulwe n’olw’ebibi by’abantu bye baakolanga mu butanwa.
But only the high priest entered the second room, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
8 Mu bino byonna, Mwoyo Mutukuvu atutegeeza bulungi nti, Ekkubo erituuka mu bifo ebitukuvu lyali terinnamanyika, ng’eweema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu ey’olubereberye ekyaliwo, n’enkola ey’edda ng’ekyaliwo.
By this arrangement the Holy Spirit was showing that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.
9 Amakulu geekyo mu kiseera kya leero, ge gano: ebirabo ne Ssaddaaka ebyaweebwangayo tebiyinza kutukuza mutima gw’oyo asinza.
It is an illustration for the present time, because the gifts and sacrifices being offered were unable to cleanse the conscience of the worshiper.
10 Bikoma ku byakulya na byakunywa na ku bulombolombo obw’okunaaba, n’ebiragiro abantu bye baalina okukwata n’okugondera okutuusa ku biro eby’okuzza ebintu obuggya.
They consist only in food and drink and special washings—external regulations imposed until the time of reform.
11 Kristo yajja nga Kabona Asinga Obukulu ow’ebintu ebirungi ebyali bigenda okujja. Yayingira mu weema esinga obukulu n’okutuukirira, etaakolebwa na mikono gya bantu, etali ya mu nsi muno.
But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made by hands and is not a part of this creation.
12 Teyayingira na musaayi gwa mbuzi wadde ogw’ente ennume, naye yayingira mu Watukuvu w’Awatukuvu omulundi gumu gwokka n’omusaayi gwe; bw’atyo ye yennyini n’atufunira obulokozi obutaggwaawo. (aiōnios )
He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption. (aiōnios )
13 Obanga omusaayi gw’embuzi, n’ente ennume, n’evvu ly’ente enduusi, bimansirwa ku abo abalina ebibi, ne bibatukuza mu mubiri;
For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean,
14 omusaayi gwa Kristo ataliiko kamogo, eyeewaayo ye yennyini eri Katonda olw’Omwoyo ataggwaawo, tegulisinga nnyo okutukuza emyoyo gyaffe okuva mu bikolwa ebifu tulyoke tuweereze Katonda omulamu? (aiōnios )
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God! (aiōnios )
15 Noolwekyo Kristo ye mutabaganya mu ndagaano empya, okufa bwe kwabaawo olw’okununulibwa okuva mu byonoono eby’omu ndagaano eyasooka, abo abaayitibwa ab’obusika obutaggwaawo balyoke baweebwe ekisuubizo. (aiōnios )
Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. (aiōnios )
16 Kubanga ekiraamo kiteekebwa mu nkola ng’eyakikola amaze kufa.
In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it,
17 Kubanga kikola ng’eyakikola afudde, kubanga tekiba na makulu eyakikola bw’aba ng’akyali mulamu.
because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
18 Era n’endagaano ey’olubereberye teyakolebwa awatali musaayi.
That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.
19 Kubanga Musa bwe yamala okuwa abantu bonna Amateeka, n’atwala omusaayi gwa zisseddume n’ogw’embuzi, n’amazzi, n’addira obutabi obw’akawoowo obwa ezobu, n’ebyoya by’endiga ebiriko omusaayi, n’amansira ku kitabo kyennyini era ne ku bantu.
For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people,
20 N’ayogera nti, “Guno gwe musaayi gw’endagaano Katonda gye yabalagira okukwata.”
saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
21 Era bw’atyo n’amansira ne ku weema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, ne ku byonna ebyakozesebwanga mu kusinza.
In the same way, he sprinkled with blood the tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship.
22 Era mu mateeka buli kintu kitukuzibwa na musaayi, era awatali kuyiwa musaayi tewabaawo kusonyiyibwa.
According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 Ebifaananyi by’ebintu eby’omu ggulu kyebiva byetaaga okutukuzibwa ne ssaddaaka, naye ebintu eby’omu ggulu byennyini biteekwa kutukuzibwa na ssaddaaka ezisinga ezo.
So it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 Kubanga Kristo teyayingira mu kifo kya Watukuvu w’Awatukuvu ekyakolebwa n’emikono gy’abantu, naye yayingira mu ggulu mwennyini gy’ali kaakano mu maaso ga Katonda ku lwaffe.
For Christ did not enter a man-made copy of the true sanctuary, but He entered heaven itself, now to appear on our behalf in the presence of God.
25 Kristo teyayingira mu ggulu kwewangayo mirundi mingi, nga Kabona Asinga Obukulu bw’ayingira mu Watukuvu w’Awatukuvu buli mwaka n’omusaayi ogutali gugwe,
Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
26 kubanga kyali kimugwanira okubonaabonanga emirundi mingi okuva ku kutondebwa kw’ensi. Naye kaakano yajja omulundi gumu ku nkomerero y’omulembe, ne yeewaayo yennyini ng’ekiweebwayo. (aiōn )
Otherwise, Christ would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. (aiōn )
27 Ng’abantu bwe baterekerwa okufa omulundi gumu n’oluvannyuma okulamulwa ne kutuuka,
Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment,
28 era ne Kristo bw’atyo yaweebwayo omulundi gumu ne yeetikka ebibi by’abantu bonna. Alirabika nate omulundi ogwokubiri, si kuddamu kwetikka bibi byaffe, wabula okuleeta obulokozi eri abo abamulindirira.
so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.
