1 Ibulayimu n’awasa omukazi omulala erinnya lye Ketula.
Nowe Abraham had taken him another wife called Keturah,
2 Yamuzaalira Zimulaani, ne Yokusaani, ne Medani, ne Midiyaani, ne Isubaki ne Suwa.
Which bare him Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 Yokusaani n’azaala Seeba ne Dedani. Dedani n’azaala Asulimu, ne Letusimu ne Leumimu.

4 Batabani ba Midiyaani baali Efa, ne Eferi, ne Kanoki, ne Abida ne Eruda. Abo bonna be baana n’abazzukulu ba Ketula.
Also the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah all these were the sonnes of Keturah.
5 Ibulayimu yawa Isaaka byonna bye yalina.
And Abraham gaue all his goods to Izhak,
6 Naye bo abaana b’abaweereza be n’abawa birabo, n’abasiibula bwe yali ng’akyali mulamu bagende ebuvanjuba mu nsi ey’ebuvanjuba; baviire mutabani we Isaaka.
But vnto the sonnes of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gaue giftes, and sent them away from Izhak his sonne (while he yet liued) Eastward to the East countrey.
7 Ibulayimu yawangaala emyaka kikumi mu nsanvu mu etaano.
And this is the age of Abrahams life, which he liued, an hundreth seuentie and fiue yeere.
8 Ibulayimu yafa ng’akaddiyidde ddala, nga musajja awangaalidde ddala obulungi.
Then Abraham yeelded the spirit, and died in a good age, an olde man, and of great yeeres, and was gathered to his people.
9 Batabani be Isaaka ne Isimayiri ne bamuziika mu mpuku ey’e Makupeera, mu nnimiro ya Efulooni, mutabani wa Zokali Omukiiti, ebuvanjuba bwa Mamule;
And his sonnes, Izhak and Ishmael buryed him in the caue of Machpelah, in the fielde of Ephron sonne of Zohar the Hittite, before Mamre.
10 ennimiro Ibulayimu gye yagula ku Bakiiti. Omwo Ibulayimu mwe yaziikibwa awali Saala mukazi we.
Which fielde Abraham bought of the Hittites, where Abraham was buryed with Sarah his wife.
11 Ibulayimu bwe yafa, Katonda n’awa mutabani we Isaaka omukisa, Isaaka n’abeera e Beerirakayiroyi.
And after the death of Abraham God blessed Izhak his sonne, and Izhak dwelt by Beer-lahai-roi.
12 Bino bye bifa ku b’olulyo lwa Isimayiri mutabani wa Ibulayimu eyazaalibwa Agali Omumisiri, omuweereza wa Saala omuwala.
Nowe these are the generations of Ishmael Abrahams sonne, whome Hagar the Egyptian Sarahs handmayde bare vnto Abraham.
13 Gano ge mannya gaabwe nga bwe baddiŋŋanwako: Nebayoosi, omubereberye wa Isimayiri, ne Kedali, ne Adubeeri, ne Mibusamu,
And these are the names of the sonnes of Ishmael, name by name, according to their kinreds; the eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
14 ne Misuma, ne Duma, ne Massa,
And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 ne Kadadi, ne Teema, ne Yetuli, ne Nafisi ne Kedema.
Hadar, and Tema, Ietur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
16 Abo be batabani ba Isimayiri, era ago ge mannya gaabwe, mu byalo ne mu bibuga byabwe mwe baabeeranga, abafuzi kkumi na babiri buli omu n’eggwanga lye.
These are the sonnes of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their townes and by their castles: to wit, twelue princes of their nations.
17 Isimayiri yafa ng’awezezza emyaka kikumi mu asatu mu musanvu n’atwalibwa mu babe.
(And these are the yeeres of the life of Ishmael, an hundreth thirtie and seuen yeere, and he yeelded the spirit, and dyed, and was gathered vnto his people)
18 Abantu be baatuula okuviira ddala mu Kavira ne batuuka ku Ssuuli okuliraana Misiri ku luuyi olwa Bwasuli. Ennaku zaabwe zonna baawalananga baganda baabwe.
And they dwelt from Hauilah vnto Shur, that is towardes Egypt, as thou goest to Asshur. Ishmael dwelt in the presence of all his brethren.
19 Bino bye bifa ku b’olulyo lwa Isaaka, mutabani wa Ibulayimu. Ibulayimu yazaala Isaaka.
Likewise these are the generations of Izhak Abrahams sonne Abraham begate Izhak,
20 Isaaka yalina emyaka amakumi ana, we yawasiza muwala wa Besweri Omusuuli ow’e Padanalaamu, eyayitibwanga Lebbeeka mwannyina wa Labbaani.
And Izhak was fourtie yeere olde, when he tooke Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramite of Padan Aram, and sister to Laban the Aramite.
21 Isaaka n’asaba Mukama ku lwa mukazi we Lebbeeka kubanga yali mugumba, Mukama n’awulira okusaba kwe, Lebbeeka naaba olubuto.
And Izhak prayed vuto the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceiued,
22 Abaana bombi ne bagulumbira mu lubuto lwe, Lebbeeka n’agamba nti, “Obanga kiri bwe kityo, lwaki mba omulamu?” Awo n’agenda ne yeebuuza ku Mukama.
But the children stroue together within her: therefore shee sayde, Seeing it is so, why am I thus? wherefore she went to aske the Lord.
23 Mukama n’amuddamu nti, “Mu lubuto lwo mulimu amawanga abiri, abantu ababiri b’olizaala balibeera ba njawulo, omu alibeera w’amaanyi okusinga munne, era omukulu yaaliweereza omuto.”
And the Lord sayd to her, Two nations are in thy wombe, and two maner of people shalbe diuided out of thy bowels, and the one people shall be mightier then the other, and the elder shall serue the yonger.
24 Ennaku ez’okuzaala bwe zaatuuka, laba, n’azaala abalongo nga babulenzi.
Therefore when her time of deliuerance was fulfilled, behold, twinnes were in her wombe.
25 Eyasooka bwe yavaayo nga mumyufu, omubiri gwe gwonna nga gufaanana ng’ekyambalo eky’ebyoya. Kyebaava bamutuuma Esawu.
So he that came out first was red, and he was all ouer as a rough garment, and they called his name Esau.
26 Oluvannyuma ne muganda we n’azaalibwa, omukono gwe nga gukutte ekisinziiro kya Esawu; kyebaava bamuyita Yakobo. Isaaka yalina emyaka nkaaga Lebbeeka we yazaalira abaana abo.
And afterward came his brother out, and his hande helde Esau by the heele: therefore his name was called Iaakob. Nowe Izhak was threescore yeere olde when Rebekah bare them.
27 Abalenzi ne bakula, Esawu n’aba muyizzi lukulwe, omuntu ow’oku ttale. Naye ye Yakobo yali musajja musirise ng’asigala waka.
And the boyes grew, and Esau was a cunning hunter, and liued in the fields: but Iaakob was a plaine man, and dwelt in tentes.
28 Isaaka n’ayagala Esawu kubanga yalyanga ku muyiggo gwe, naye Lebbeeka ye n’ayagala Yakobo.
And Izhak loued Esau, for venison was his meate, but Rebekah loued Iaakob.
29 Lumu Yakobo yali afumba enva, Esawu n’ajja ng’ava ku ttale; enjala ng’emuluma nnyo.
Nowe Iaakob sod pottage, and Esau came from the fielde and was wearie.
30 Esawu n’agamba Yakobo nti, “Mpa mpute ku nva ezo, kubanga enjala ejula kunzita.” Kyeyava ayitibwa Edomu.
Then Esau sayd to Iaakob, Let me eate, I pray thee, of that pottage so red, for I am wearie. Therefore was his name called Edom.
31 Yakobo n’amuddamu nti, “Sooka onguze obukulu bwo.”
And Iaakob sayd, Sell me euen nowe thy birthright.
32 Esawu n’agamba nti, “Laba Ndikumpi n’okufa, obukulu bungasa ki?”
And Esau sayd, Lo, I am almost dead, what is then this birthright to me?
33 Yakobo n’addamu nti, “Sooka ondayirire.” Awo Esawu n’amulayirira, olwo n’aguza Yakobo obukulu bwe.
Iaakob then said, Sweare to me euen now. And he sware to him, and solde his birthright vnto Iaakob.
34 Yakobo n’alyoka awa Esawu emmere n’enva, n’alya n’anywa, n’agolokoka n’agenda. Bw’atyo Esawu n’anyooma obukulu bwe.
Then Iaakob gaue Esau bread and pottage of lentiles: and he did eate and drinke, and rose vp, and went his way: So Esau contemned his birthright.
