1 Ebyo nga biwedde, ekigambo kya Mukama ne kijjira Ibulaamu mu kwolesebwa nti, “Totya Ibulaamu, Nze ngabo yo era empeera yo ennene ennyo.”
And so whanne these thingis weren don, the word of the Lord was maad to Abram bi a visioun, and seide, Abram, nyle thou drede, Y am thi defender, and thi meede is ful greet.
2 Naye Ibulaamu n’addamu nti, “Kiki ky’olimpa Ayi Mukama Katonda, kubanga sirina mwana, n’omusika w’ennyumba yange ye Eryeza ow’omu Ddamasiko?”
And Abram seide, Lord God, what schalt thou yyue to me? Y schal go with oute fre children, and this Damask, sone of Elieser, the procuratour of myn hous, schal be myn eir.
3 Ibulaamu ne yeeyongera n’agamba nti, “Laba tompadde mwana; omuddu eyazaalibwa mu nnyumba yange ye musika wange.”
And Abram addide, Sotheli thou hast not youe seed to me, and, lo! my borun seruaunt schal be myn eir.
4 Laba ekigambo kya Mukama ne kimujjira nti, “Omusajja oyo tagenda kuba musika wo; mutabani wo, y’aliba omusika wo.”
And anoon the word of the Lord was maad to hym, and seide, This schal not be thin eir, but thou schalt haue hym eir, that schal go out of thi wombe.
5 N’amufulumya ebweru n’amugamba nti, “Tunuulira eggulu, obale emunyeenye, obanga osobola okuzibala.” Awo n’amugamba nti, “N’ezzadde lyo bwe liriba bwe lityo.”
And the Lord ledde out Abram, and seide to hym, Biholde thou heuene, and noumbre thou sterris, if thou maist. And the Lord seide to Abram, So thi seed schal be.
6 Ibulaamu n’akkiriza Mukama, n’akimubalira okuba obutuukirivu.
Abram bileuede to God, and it was arettid to hym to riytfulnesse.
7 N’amugamba nti, “Nze Mukama eyakuggya mu Uli ensi ey’Abakaludaaya, nkuwe ensi eno ebeere yiyo.”
And God seide to hym, Y am the Lord, that ladde thee out of Vr of Caldeis, that Y schulde yyue this lond to thee, and thou schuldist haue it in possessioun.
8 Ibulaamu n’addamu nti, “Ayi Mukama nnaamanya ntya nti eriba yange?”
And Abram seide, Lord God, wherbi may I wite that Y schal welde it?
9 Mukama n’amuddamu nti, “Ndeetera ennyana eyaakamala emyaka esatu, embuzi ey’emyaka esatu, endiga ensajja ey’emyaka esatu, kaamukuukulu n’ejjiba.”
And the Lord answerde, and seide, Take thou to me a cow of thre yeer, and a geet of thre yeer, and a ram of thre yeer, a turtle also, and a culuer.
10 Ibulaamu n’abireeta byonna n’abisalamu wakati n’ateeka buli kitundu kungulu ku kinnaakyo, naye ebinyonyi byo teyabisalamu bitundu nga biri.
Which took alle these thingis, and departide tho bi the myddis, and settide euer eithir partis ech ayens other; but he departide not the briddis.
11 Ensega bwe zajja okubirya, Ibulaamu n’azigoba.
And foulis camen doun on the careyns, and Abram drof hem awey.
12 Enjuba yali egwa, Ibulaamu ne yeebaka otulo tungi; era laba, ekizikiza ekingi eky’amaanyi ne kimubuutikira.
And whanne the sunne was gon doun, drede felde on Abram, and a greet hidousenesse and derk asaylide him.
13 Awo Mukama n’agamba Ibulaamu nti, “Manyira ddala nti ezzadde lyo baliba batambuze mu nsi eteri yaabwe, era baliba baddu eyo, balibonyaabonyezebwa eyo okumala emyaka ebikumi bina.
And it was seid to hym, Wite thou bifore knowinge, that thi seed schal be pilgrim foure hundrid yeer in a lond not his owne, and thei schulen make hem suget to seruage, and thei schulen turment hem;
14 Naye ndibonereza eggwanga lye balikolera n’oluvannyuma balivaayo n’obugagga bungi.
netheles Y schal deme the folk to whom thei schulen serue; and aftir these thingis thei schulen go out with greet catel.
15 Naye ggwe oligenda mirembe eri bajjajjaabo; oliziikibwa ng’owangaalidde ddala nnyo.
Forsothe thou schalt go to thi fadris in pees, and schalt be biried in good age.
16 Era balikomawo wano mu mulembe ogwokuna; kubanga obutali butuukirivu bw’Omwamoli tebunnayitirira.”
Sotheli in the fourthe generacioun thei schulen turne ayen hidir, for the wickidnesses of Amoreis ben not yit fillid, `til to present tyme.
17 Enjuba bwe yagwa ng’ekizikiza kikutte, laba, ensuwa eyaka omuliro era enyooka omukka n’ekimulisa ne biyita wakati w’ebitundu bino.
Therfor whanne the sunne was gon doun, a derk myst was maad, and a furneis smokynge apperide, and a laumpe of fier, and passide thorou tho departingis.
18 Ku lunaku olwo Mukama n’akola endagaano ne Ibulaamu ng’agamba nti, “Ezadde lyo ndiwa ensi eno, okuva ku mugga ogw’e Misiri okutuuka ku mugga omunene, omugga Fulaati:
In that dai the Lord made a couenaunt of pees with Abram, and seide, Y schal yyue to thi seed this lond, fro the ryuer of Egipt til to the greet ryuer Eufrates; Cyneis,
19 Omukeeni, n’Omukenizi, n’Omukadumoni,
and Cyneseis, and Cethmoneis, and Etheis,
20 n’Omukiiti, n’Omuperizi, n’Abaleefa,
and Fereseis, and Raphaym, and Amorreis,
21 n’Omwamoli, n’Omukanani, n’Omugirugaasi n’Omuyebusi, mbagabula mu mukono gwo.”
and Cananeis, and Gergeseis, and Jebuseis.
