< Abaggalatiya 5 >

1 Kale nga Kristo bwe yatufuula ab’eddembe, bwe mutyo munywerere mu ddembe eryo muleme kusibwa nate mu kikoligo ky’obuddu.
Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
2 Ka mbategeeze nze Pawulo: Bwe mukomolebwa, nga Kristo taliiko ky’abagasa.
Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.
3 Era nziramu okutegeeza buli muntu akomolebwa nti alina ebbanja okutuukiriza amateeka gonna.
Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Mwava mu Kristo mmwe abanoonya okufuna obutuukirivu olw’amateeka. Mwava mu kisa.
You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
5 Kubanga ffe, ffe ku bw’Omwoyo olw’okukkiriza tulindirira n’essuubi obutuukirivu.
For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
6 Kubanga mu Kristo Yesu, okukomolebwa oba obutakomolebwa, tekulina maanyi, wabula okukkiriza kukola olw’okwagala.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.
7 Mwali mutambula bulungi. Ani eyabasendasenda n’abaggya ku kugondera amazima?
You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?
8 Okusendebwasendebwa okwo, si kw’oyo eyabayita.
This persuasion is not from him who calls you.
9 Ekizimbulukusa ekitono kizimbulukusa ekitole kyonna.
A little yeast grows through the whole lump.
10 Mbeesiga mu Mukama waffe nga temujja kulowooza kintu kirala kyonna. Naye oyo abateganya alisalirwa omusango ne bw’aliba ani.
I have confidence towards you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgement, whoever he is.
11 Naye nze abooluganda, oba nga nkyayigiriza okukomolebwa, lwaki njigganyizibwa? Kale enkonge ey’omusaalaba evuddewo.
But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.
12 Nnandyagadde abo abaabateganya beeraawe.
I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.
13 Kubanga mmwe abooluganda mwayitibwa lwa ddembe, noolwekyo eddembe teribawa bbeetu kugoberera bya mubiri. Naye olw’okwagala buli omu abeerenga muweereza wa munne.
For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
14 Kubanga amateeka gonna gatuukirizibwa mu tteeka lino nti: “Yagalanga muntu munno nga bwe weeyagala wekka.”
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
15 Naye obanga muneneŋŋana mwegendereze muleme okwezikiriza.
But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
16 Mbagamba nti, mutambulirenga mu Mwoyo, mu ngeri yonna, mulemenga kutuukiriza kwegomba kwa mubiri.
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 Kubanga okwegomba kw’omubiri kulwanagana n’Omwoyo, n’Omwoyo n’alwanagana n’omubiri; kubanga bino byombi bikontana, mulemenga okukola bye mwagala.
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
18 Naye bwe muluŋŋamizibwa Omwoyo, olwo nga temukyafugibwa mateeka.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Ebikolwa by’omubiri bya lwatu, bye bino: obwenzi, obukaba, obugwenyufu,
Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,
20 Okusinza bakatonda abalala, obufumu, obulabe, okuyomba, obuggya, obusungu, okwekuluntaza, okweyawula, okwesalamu,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
21 ettima, obutamiivu, ebinyumu, n’ebirala ebiri ng’ebyo. Ka mbategeeze nate nga bwe nasooka okubabuulira nti buli akola ebyo talina mugabo mu bwakabaka bwa Katonda.
envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practise such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
22 Naye ebibala eby’Omwoyo bye bino: okwagala, essanyu, emirembe, obugumiikiriza, ekisa, obulungi, obwesigwa,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 obuwombeefu, okwefuga; awali ebyo tewali tteeka libiwakanya.
gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 N’abo aba Kristo Yesu baakomerera omubiri n’okwegomba kwagwo, n’omululu gwagwo.
Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25 Kale bwe tuba abalamu ku bw’Omwoyo, tugobererenga okuluŋŋamizibwa kw’Omwoyo.
If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
26 Tulemenga okwemanya, n’okunyizaganya, n’okukwatiragananga obuggya.
Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
