1 Bano be bantu ab’omu ssaza, abanyagibwa Kabaka Nebukadduneeza ow’e Babulooni ne batwalibwa e Babulooni, abaddayo e Yerusaalemi ne Yuda buli muntu mu kibuga ky’ewaabwe.
And these [are] the people of the land that went up, of the number of prisoners who were removed, whom Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon carried away to Babylon, and they returned to Juda and Jerusalem, every man to his city;
2 Abaabakulembera baali Zerubbaberi, ne Yesuwa, ne Nekkemiya, ne Seraya, ne Leeraya, ne Moluddekaayi, ne Birusani, ne Misupaali, ne Biguvaayi, ne Lekumu, ne Baana. Omuwendo gw’abantu ba Isirayiri gwali:
who came with Zorobabel: Jesus, Neemias, Saraias, Reelias, Mardochaeus, Balasan, Masphar, Baguai, Reum, Baana. The number of the people of Israel:
3 bazzukulu ba Palosi enkumi bbiri mu kikumi mu nsavu mu babiri,
the children of Phares, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two.
4 bazzukulu ba Sefatiya bisatu mu nsavu mu babiri,
The children of Saphatia, three hundred and seventy-two.
5 bazzukulu ba Ala lusanvu mu nsavu mu bataano,
The children of Ares, seven hundred and seventy-five.
6 bazzukulu ba Pakasumowaabu ab’olunnyiriri olwa Yesuwa ne Yowaabu enkumi bbiri mu lunaana mu kkumi na babiri,
The children of Phaath Moab, belonging to the sons of Jesue [and] Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve.
7 bazzukulu ba Eramu lukumi mu bibiri mu ataano mu bana,
The children of Aelam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four.
8 bazzukulu ba Zattu lwenda mu ana mu bataano,
The children of Zatthua, nine hundred and forty-five.
9 bazzukulu ba Zakkayi lusanvu mu nkaaga,
The children of Zacchu, seven hundred and sixty.
10 bazzukulu ba Bani lukaaga mu ana mu babiri,
The children of Banui, six hundred and forty-two.
11 bazzukulu ba Bebayi lukaaga mu abiri mu basatu,
The children of Babai, six hundred and twenty-three.
12 bazzukulu ba Azugaadi lukumi mu bibiri mu abiri mu babiri,
The children of Asgad, a thousand two hundred and twenty-two.
13 bazzukulu ba Adonikamu lukaaga mu nkaaga mu mukaaga,
The children of Adonicam, six hundred and sixty-six.
14 bazzukulu ba Biguvaayi enkumi bbiri mu amakumi ataano mu mukaaga,
The children of Bague, two thousand and fifty-six.
15 bazzukulu ba Adini ebikumi bina mu ataano mu bana,
The children of Addin, four hundred and fifty-four.
16 bazzukulu ba Ateri ow’olunnyiriri lwa Keezeekiya kyenda mu munaana,
The children of Ater [the son] of Ezekias, ninety eight.
17 bazzukulu ba Bezayi ebikumi bisatu mu amakumi abiri mu basatu,
The children of Bassu, three hundred and twenty-three.
18 bazzukulu ba Yola kikumi mu kumi na babiri,
The children of Jora, a hundred and twelve.
19 bazzukulu ba Kasumu ebikumi bibiri mu abiri mu basatu,
The children of Asum, two hundred and twenty-three.
20 bazzukulu ba Gibbali kyenda mu bataano.
The children of Gaber, ninety-five.
21 Abazzukulu ab’e Besirekemu kikumi mu abiri mu basatu,
The children of Bethlaem, a hundred and twenty-three.
22 abazzukulu ab’e Netofa amakumi ataano mu mukaaga,
The children of Netopha, fifty-six.
23 abazzukulu ab’e Anasosi kikumi abiri mu munaana,
The children of Anathoth, a hundred and twenty-eight.
24 abazzukulu ab’e Azumavesi amakumi ana mu babiri,
The children of Azmoth, forty-three.
25 abazzukulu ab’e Kiriaswalimu, n’e Kefira n’e Beerosi lusanvu mu ana mu basatu,
The children of Cariathiarim, Chaphira, and Beroth, seven hundred and forty-three.
26 abazzukulu ab’e Laama n’e Geba lukaaga mu abiri mu omu,
The children of Rama and Gabaa, six hundred and twenty-one.
27 abazzukulu ab’e Mikumasi kikumi mu abiri mu babiri,
The men of Machmas, a hundred and twenty-two.
28 abazzukulu ab’e Beseri n’e Ayi ebikumi bibiri mu abiri mu basatu,
The men of Baethel and Aia, four hundred and twenty-three.
29 abazzukulu ab’e Nebo amakumi ataano mu babiri,
The children of Nabu, fifty-two.
30 abazzukulu ab’e Magubisi kikumi ataano mu mukaaga,
The children of Magebis, a hundred and fifty-six.
31 abazzukulu ab’e Eramu omulala lukumi mu bibiri mu ataano mu bana,
The children of Elamar, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four.
32 abazzukulu ab’e Kalimu ebikumi bisatu mu amakumi abiri,
The children of Elam, three hundred and twenty.
33 abazzukulu ab’e Loodi, n’e Kadidi, n’e Ono lusanvu mu abiri mu bataano,
The children of Lodadi and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-five.
34 abazzukulu ab’e Yeriko ebikumi bisatu mu amakumi ana mu bataano,
The children of Jericho, three hundred and forty-five.
35 n’abazzukulu ab’e Sena enkumi ssatu mu lukaaga mu amakumi asatu.
The children of Senaa, three thousand six hundred and thirty.
36 Bano be bakabona: bazzukulu ba Yedaya ab’ennyumba ya Yesuwa lwenda mu nsavu mu basatu,
And the priests, the sons of Jedua, [belonging to] the house of Jesus, [were] nine hundred and seventy-three.
37 bazzukulu ba Immeri lukumi mu amakumi ataano mu babiri,
The children of Emmer, a thousand [and] fifty-two.
38 bazzukulu ba Pasukuli lukumi mu bibiri mu amakumi ana mu musanvu,
The children of Phassur, a thousand two hundred [and] forty-seven.
39 bazzukulu ba Kalimu lukumi mu kumi na musanvu.
The children of Erem, a thousand [and] seven.
40 Ne bano be Baleevi: bazzukulu ba Yesuwa ne Kadumyeri ab’olunnyiriri olwa Kadaviya nsavu mu bana.
And the Levites, the sons of Jesus and Cadmiel, belonging to the sons of Oduia, seventy-four.
41 Bano be bayimbi: bazzukulu ba Asafu kikumi mu amakumi abiri mu munaana.
The sons of Asaph, singers, a hundred [and] twenty-eight.
42 Bano be baakuumanga enzigi za yeekaalu: bazzukulu ba Sallumu, bazzukulu ba Ateri, bazzukulu ba Talumoni, bazzukulu ba Akkubu, bazzukulu ba Katita, ne bazzukulu ba Sobayi kikumi mu amakumi asatu mu mwenda.
The children of the porters, the children of Sellum, the children of Ater, the children of Telmon, the children of Acub, the children of Atita, the children of Sobai, [in] all a hundred [and] thirty-nine.
43 Abaaweerezanga mu yeekaalu be bano: bazzukulu ba Zika, bazzukulu ba Kasufa, bazzukulu ba Tabbawoosi,

44 bazzukulu ba Kerosi, bazzukulu ba Siyaka, bazzukulu ba Padoni,

the children of Agab, the children of Selami, the children of Anan,

the children of Azo, the children of Phase, the children of Basi,

the children of Asena, the children of Mounim, the children of Nephusim,
51 bazzukulu ba Bakubuki, bazzukulu ba Kakufa, bazzukulu ba Kalukuli,
the children of Bacbuc, the children of Acupha, the children of Arur,
52 bazzukulu ba Bazulusi, bazzukulu ba Mekida, bazzukulu ba Kalusa,
the children of Basaloth, the children of Mauda, the children of Arsa,
53 bazzukulu ba Balukosi, bazzukulu ba Sisera, bazzukulu ba Tema,
the children of Barcos, the children of Sisara, the children of Thema,
54 bazzukulu ba Neziya, ne bazzukulu ba Katifa.
the children of Nasthie, the children of Atupha.
55 Bazzukulu b’abaweereza ba Sulemaani baali: bazzukulu ba Sotayi, bazzukulu ba Kassoferesi, bazzukulu ba Peruda,
The children of the servants of Solomon: the children of Sotai, the children of Sephera, the children of Phadura,
56 bazzukulu ba Yaala, bazzukulu ba Dalukoni, bazzukulu ba Gidderi,
the children of Jeela, the children of Darcon, the children of Gedel,
57 bazzukulu ba Sefatiya, bazzukulu ba Kattiri, bazzukulu ba Pokeresukazzebayimu, ne bazzukulu ba Ami.
the children of Saphatia, the children of Atil, the children of Phacherath, the children of Aseboim, the children of Emei.
58 Omuwendo ogw’abaaweerezanga mu yeekaalu ne bazzukulu b’abaweereza ba Sulemaani bonna awamu, gwali ebikumi bisatu mu kyenda mu babiri.
All the Nathanim, and the sons of Abdeselma [were] three hundred and ninety-two.
59 Ne bano be baava mu bibuga eby’e Terumeera, n’e Terukalusa, n’e Kerubu, n’e Yaddani, n’e Immeri, naye tebaalina bukakafu bulaga nti bava mu nnyumba ya Isirayiri.
And these [are] they that went up from Thelmelech, Thelaresa, Cherub, Hedan, Emmer: and they were not able to tell the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
60 Baali bazzukulu ba Deraya, bazzukulu ba Tobiya, ne bazzukulu ba Nekoda n’omuwendo gwabwe gwali lukaaga mu amakumi ataano mu babiri.
the children of Dalaea, the children of Bua, the children of Tobias, the children of Necoda, six hundred [and] fifty-two.
61 Ne ku bakabona kwaliko bazzukulu ba Kobaya, ne bazzukulu ba Kakkozi, ne bazzukulu ba Baluzirayi eyawasa muwala wa Baluzirayi Omugireyaadi, n’atuumibwa erinnya eryo.
And of the children of the priests, the children of Labeia, the children of Akkus, the children of Berzellai, who took a wife of the daughter of Berzellai the Galaadite, and was called by their name.
62 Ate waaliwo abalala abaanoonya amannya gaabwe mu abo abaabalibwa naye ne batagalaba, era ne batabalibwa mu bakabona kubanga kyagambibwa nti si balongoofu.
These sought their genealogy [as though] they had been reckoned, but they were not found; and they were removed, [as polluted], from the priesthood.
63 Omukulembeze n’abalagira baleme okulya ku bintu ebitukuvu ennyo, okuggyako nga waliwo kabona alina Ulimu ne Sumimu.
And the Athersastha told them that they should not eat of the most holy things, until a priest should arise with Lights and Perfections.
64 Bonna awamu baali emitwalo ena mu enkumi bbiri mu bisatu mu nkaga,
And all the congregation together [were] about forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty;
65 okwo nga kw’otadde abaddu n’abaddu abakazi abaali kasanvu mu bisatu mu amakumi asatu mu musanvu, n’abayimbi abasajja n’abakazi abaali ebikumi bibiri.
besides their men-servants and maid-servants, [and] these were seven thousand three hundred [and] thirty-seven: and [among] these were two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 Baalina embalaasi lusanvu mu asatu mu mukaaga, n’ennyumbu ebikumi bibiri mu amakumi ana mu ttaano,
Their horses [were] seven hundred [and] thirty-six, their mules, two hundred [and] forty-five.
67 n’eŋŋamira ebikumi bina mu amakumi asatu mu ttaano, n’endogoyi kakaaga mu lusanvu mu abiri.
Their camels, four hundred [and] thirty-five; their asses, six thousand seven hundred [and] twenty.
68 Awo abakulu b’ennyumba z’abajjajjaabwe bwe baatuuka ku kifo ennyumba ya Mukama we yali mu Yerusaalemi, ne bawaayo ebiweebwayo nga beeyagalidde, olw’okuddaabiriza ennyumba ya Katonda.
And [some] of the chiefs of families, when they went into the house of the Lord that was in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God, to establish it on its prepared place.
69 Ne bawaayo mu ggwanika ng’obusobozi bwabwe bwe bwali; ne bawaayo kilo bitaano eza zaabu, ne tani ssatu, n’ebyambalo bya bakabona kikumi mu ggwanika.
According to their power they gave into the treasury of the work pure gold sixty-one thousand pieces, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.
70 Awo bakabona, n’Abaleevi, n’abayimbi, n’abaakuumanga enzigi za yeekaalu, n’abakozi ba yeekaalu ne baddayo mu bibuga byabwe, awamu n’abamu ku bantu abalala, n’Abayisirayiri abalala bonna ne baddayo mu bibuga byabwe.
So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nathinim, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
