Ezeekyeri 36
1 “Omwana w’omuntu, yogera obunnabbi eri ensozi za Isirayiri, ogambe nti, Mmwe ensozi za Isirayiri, muwulire ekigambo kya Mukama.
And thou son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say: Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord:
2 Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, omulabe yayogera nti, ‘Otyo, ensozi ez’edda kaakano zaffe.’
Thus saith the Lord God: Because the enemy hath said of you: Aha, the everlasting heights are given to us for an inheritance.
3 Kyemwava muwa obunnabbi ne mwogera nti, ‘Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, Kubanga baabacocca ne babayigganya enjuuyi zonna amawanga amalala ne gabeetwalira, era ne mufuuka eky’okwogerwako era ne baboogerako eby’obulimba,
Therefore prophesy, and say: Thus saith the Lord God: Because you have been desolate, and trodden under foot on every side, and made an inheritance to the rest of the nations, and are become the subject of the talk, and the reproach of the people:
4 kyemunaava muwulira ekigambo kya Mukama Katonda mmwe ensozi za Isirayiri: Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti eri ensozi n’obusozi, n’eri enzizi n’ebiwonvu, n’eri ebifulukwa n’ebibuga ebyafuuka amatongo ebyanyagibwa ne bifuuka eby’okusekererwa eri amawanga gonna okwetooloola
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the brooks, and to the valleys, and to desolate places, and ruinous walls, and to the cities that are forsaken, that are spoiled, and derided by the rest of the nations round about.
5 Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti; Njogerera mu busungu bwange obungi eri amawanga amalala n’eri Edomu yonna, abajjula okusanyuka n’ettima mu mitima gyabwe, ne baddira ensi yange ne bagifuula eyaabwe banyage obugagga bwayo.’
Therefore thus saith the Lord God: In the fire of my zeal I have spoken of the rest of the nations, and of all Edom, who have taken my land to themselves, for an inheritance with joy, and with all the heart, and with the mind: and have cast it out to lay it waste.
6 Kyonoova owa obunnabbi eri ensi ya Isirayiri n’oyogera eri ensozi n’obusozi, n’eri enzizi n’ebiwonvu nti, bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, Njogera nga nzijudde obuggya n’obusungu kubanga mwasekererwa nnyo amawanga.
Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ridges, and to the valleys: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I have spoken in my zeal, and in my indignation, because you have borne the shame of the Gentiles.
7 Mukama Katonda kyava ayogera nti, Ndayira nti amawanga agabeetoolodde nago galisekererwa.
Therefore thus saith the Lord God: I have lifted up my hand, that the Gentiles who are round about you, shall themselves bear their shame.
8 “‘Naye mmwe ensozi za Isirayiri mulireeta amatabi gammwe ne mubalira abantu bange Isirayiri ebibala byammwe kubanga banaatera okudda ewaabwe.
But as for you, O mountains of Israel, shoot ye forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel: for they are at hand to come.
9 Mbalumirwa era ndibatunuulira n’ekisa, era abalimi balikabala ettaka lyammwe ne basigamu ensigo,
For lo I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be ploughed and sown.
10 era ndibaaza mmwe, ennyumba yonna eya Isirayiri. Ebibuga birituulwamu, n’ebyali ebifulukwa biriddaabirizibwa.
And I will multiply men upon you, and all the house of Israel: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the ruinous places shall be repaired.
11 Ndyaza abantu n’ensolo, era abantu balyeyongera n’ensolo ne zeeyongera. Ndibazzaayo mu bifo byammwe eby’edda, era ndibakolera ebirungi ebisingawo ku bye nabakolera, mulyoke mumanye nga nze Mukama.
And I will make you abound with men and with beasts: and they shall be multiplied, and increased: and I will settle you as from the beginning, and will give you greater gifts, than you had from the beginning: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
12 Ndikkiriza abantu bange, Isirayiri babatambulireko, era balibeddiza, nammwe muliba mugabo gwabwe nga temukyaddamu kubaggyako baana baabwe.
And I will bring men upon you, my people Israel, and they shall possess thee for their inheritance: and thou shalt be their inheritance, and shalt no more henceforth be without them.
13 “‘Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, Kubanga abantu baboogerako nti, “Musaanyaawo abantu ne mumalawo ezzadde lye ggwanga lyammwe,”
Thus saith the Lord God: Because they say of you: Thou art a devourer of men, and one that suffocatest thy nation:
14 kyemuliva mutaddayo kusaanyaawo bantu newaakubadde okubamalako ezzadde ly’eggwanga lyo, bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda.
Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, nor destroy thy nation any more, saith the Lord God:
15 Toliwulira nate okusekererwa kw’amawanga newaakubadde okunyoomebwa wadde eggwanga lyo okugwa, bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda.’”
Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the nations any more, nor shalt thou bear the reproach of the people, nor lose thy nation any more, saith the Lord God.
16 Nate ekigambo kya Mukama ne kinzijira n’aŋŋamba nti,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
17 “Omwana w’omuntu, abantu ba Isirayiri bwe baaberanga mu nsi yaabwe, baagyonoona olw’empisa zaabwe n’ebikolwa byabwe, era n’ebikolwa byabwe byali ng’obutali bulongoofu obw’omukazi mu biseera bye.
Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it with their ways, and with their doings: their way was before me like the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.
18 Olw’omusaayi gwe baayiwa mu nsi, ate n’olw’okusinza bakatonda abalala kwe beeyonoonyesa, kyennava mbayiwako ekiruyi kyange.
And I poured out my indignation upon them for the blood which they had shed upon the land, and with their idols they defiled it.
19 Naye mbasaasaanyiza mu mawanga, ne basaasaana mu nsi. Era nabasalira omusango ng’empisa zaabwe n’ebikolwa byabwe bwe byali.
And I scattered them among the nations, and they are dispersed through the countries: I have judged them according to their ways, and their devices.
20 Buli gye baagendanga mu mawanga baaswazanga erinnya lyange ettukuvu, kubanga kyayogerwanga nti, ‘Bano bantu ba Mukama, naye baagobebwa mu nsi ye.’
And when they entered among the nations whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when it was said of them: This is the people of the Lord, and they are come forth out of his land.
21 Nafaayo ku linnya lyange ettukuvu, ennyumba ya Isirayiri lye yaswaza mu mawanga gye baagenda.
And I have regarded my own holy name, which the house of Israel hath profaned among the nations to which they went in.
22 “Kale nno gamba ennyumba ya Isirayiri nti, ‘Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti: Ggwe ennyumba ya Isirayiri bino sibikola ku lulwo, naye ku lw’erinnya lyange ettukuvu lye mwavumisa mu mawanga gye mwagenda.
Therefore thou shalt say to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: It is not for your sake that I will do this, O house of Israel, but for my holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations whither you went.
23 Ndiraga obutukuvu bw’erinnya lyange ekkulu, eryavumisibwa mu mawanga, erinnya lye mwavumisa mu bo, era amawanga galimanya nga nze Mukama, bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda, bwe ndyolesa obutukuvu bwange mu mmwe mu maaso gaabwe.
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the Gentiles, which you have profaned in the midst of them: that the Gentiles may know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord of hosts, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 “‘Ndibaggya mu mawanga ne mbakuŋŋaanya okuva mu nsi zonna ne mbakomyawo mu nsi yammwe.
For I will take you from among the Gentiles, and will gather you together out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Ndibamaansirako amazzi amayonjo, era ndibaggyako obutali bulongoofu bwammwe bwonna n’okuva ku bakatonda abalala bonna, ne mbafuula abalongoofu.
And I will pour upon you clean water, and you shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.
26 Ndibawa omutima omuggya era ne nteeka n’omwoyo omuggya mu mmwe. Ndibaggyamu omutima ogw’ejjinja ne mbawa omutima ogw’ennyama.
And I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.
27 Era ndibawa Omwoyo wange alibakubiriza okugoberera ebiragiro byange n’okukuuma obulungi amateeka gange.
And I will put my spirit in the midst of you: and I will cause you to walk in my commandments, and to keep my judgments, and do them.
28 Mulibeera mu nsi gye nawa bajjajjammwe, nammwe mulibeera bantu bange, nange ne mbeera Katonda wammwe.
And you shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
29 Ndibalokola mu butali bulongoofu bwammwe bwonna, era nditumya emmere ey’empeke ne ngyaza nnyo muleme okulumwa enjala.
And I will save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for corn, and will multiply it, and will lay no famine upon you.
30 Ndyaza ebibala eby’oku miti n’ebimera eby’omu nnimiro, nga temukyasekererwa nate mu mawanga olw’enjala.
And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the held, that you bear no more the reproach of famine among the nations.
31 Olwo mulijjukira amakubo gammwe amabi n’ebikolwa byammwe ebitali birungi, era mulyetamwa olw’ebibi byammwe n’olw’ebikolwa byammwe eby’emizizo.
And you shall remember your wicked ways, and your doings that were not good: and your iniquities, and your wicked deeds shall displease you.
32 Mukimanye ng’ebyo sibikola ku lwammwe, bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda. Muswale olw’ebikolwa byammwe, mmwe ennyumba ya Isirayiri.
It is not for your sakes that I will do this, saith the Lord God, be it known to you: be confounded, and ashamed at your own ways, O house of Israel.
33 “‘Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti: Ku lunaku lwe ndibanaalizaako ebibi byammwe byonna, abantu balidda mu bibuga byammwe n’ebifulukwa biriddaabirizibwa.
Thus saith the Lord God: In the day that I shall cleanse you from all your iniquities, and shall cause the cities to be inhabited, and shall repair the ruinous places,
34 Ensi eyazika eririmibwa, ereme kuba nga bwe yali mu maaso gaabo bonna abaagiyitangamu.
And the desolate land shall be tilled, which before was waste in the sight of all that passed by,
35 Balyogera nti, “Ensi eno eyali ezise, kaakano efuuse ng’ennimiro Adeni, n’ebifulukwa n’ebibuga ebyali bifuuse amatongo, kaakano mulimu ababibeeramu, era biriko ne bbugwe.”
They shall say: This land that was untilled is become as a garden of pleasure: and the cities that were abandoned, and desolate, and destroyed, are peopled and fenced.
36 Olwo n’amawanga agaasigalawo agabeetoolodde galimanya nga nze Mukama, naddaabiriza ebyayonoonebwa, n’ennimiro n’ebyali bizise. Nze Mukama nkyogedde, era ndikituukiriza.’
And the nations, that shall be left round about you, shall know that I the Lord have built up what was destroyed, and planted what was desolate, that I the Lord have spoken and done it.
37 “Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama nti: Nate ndiwuliriza ennyumba ya Isirayiri ne mbakolera kino, era ndyaza abantu baabwe babeere bangi ng’ekisibo ky’endiga.
Thus saith the Lord God: Moreover in this shall the house of Israel find me, that I will do it for them: I will multiply them as a flock of men,
38 Balyala ng’ebisibo eby’endiga ez’okuweebwayo e Yerusaalemi ku mbaga ezaalagirwa, era n’ebibuga ebyali amatongo ndibijjuza ebibinja by’abantu. Kale balimanya nga nze Mukama.”
As a holy dock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts: so shall the waste cities be full of flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
