1 “Onookola ekyoto mu miti gya akasiya, okwoterezangako obubaane.
“And you have made an altar [for] making incense; you make it of shittim wood;
2 Kya kwenkanankana, sentimita amakumi ana mu ttaano buli ludda mu buwanvu ne mu bugazi; era kinaabeera n’obugulumivu bwa sentimita kyenda. Kubeeko amayembe amakole mu muti ogw’ekyoto nga si mayungeko buyunzi.
a cubit its length and a cubit its breadth (it is square), and two cubits its height; its horns [are] of the same.
3 Ekyoto okiteekeko zaabu kyonna, waggulu ne mu mbiriizi, ne ku mayembe. Era kikolereko omuge ogwa zaabu okukyetooloola.
And you have overlaid it with pure gold—its top, and around its sides, and its horns; and you have made a crown of gold for it all around;
4 Wansi w’omuge, mu mbiriizi z’ekyoto zombi, kolerawo empeta bbiri eza zaabu, okuyisaamu emisituliro gyakyo nga waliwo gye kitwalibwa.
and you make two rings of gold for it, under its crown on its two ribs; you make [them] on its two sides, and they have become places for poles to carry it with them.
5 Emisituliro ogikole mu muti gwa akasiya, era ogiteekeko zaabu.
And you have made the poles of shittim wood, and have overlaid them with gold;
6 Ekyoto kitereeze mu maaso g’eggigi awali essanduuko ey’endagaano, awali ekisaanikira, ye ntebe ey’okusaasira, ekiri ku Ndagaano; awo we nnaakusisinkana.
and you have put it before the veil, which [is] by the Ark of the Testimony, before the propitiatory covering which [is] over the Testimony, where I meet with you.
7 “Alooni anaayotezanga obubaane buli nkya, bw’anajjanga okulongoosa ettaala.
And Aaron has made incense on it, incense of spices, morning by morning; in his making the lamps right, he makes incense [on] it,
8 Era Alooni bw’anajjanga okukoleeza ettaala akawungeezi, anyookezenga obubaane mu maaso ga Mukama mu mirembe gyammwe gyonna.
and in Aaron’s causing the lamps to go up between the evenings, he makes incense [on] it; [it is] a continual incense before YHWH throughout your generations.
9 Ku kyoto kino tojja kwoterezaako bubaane bulala, wadde ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa, newaakubadde eky’eŋŋaano era tojja kufukako ekiweebwayo eky’ekyokunywa.
You do not cause strange incense to go up on it—and burnt-offering and present; and you do not pour out a drink-offering on it;
10 Alooni anaakolanga omukolo ogw’okulangiririra ku mayembe gaakyo omulundi gumu mu buli mwaka. Okulongoosa kuno okwa buli mwaka kunaakolebwanga n’omusaayi ogw’ekiweebwayo olw’ekibi mu mirembe gyammwe gyonna egigenda okujja. Ekyoto kya Mukama kino kitukuvu nnyo.”
and Aaron has made atonement on its horns once in a year, by the blood of the sin-offering of atonements; once in a year he makes atonement for it, throughout your generations; it [is] most holy to YHWH.”
11 Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti,
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
12 “Bw’onoobalanga abaana ba Isirayiri, buli gw’onoobalanga anaasasulanga omuwendo eri Mukama olw’okununula obulamu bwe mu kiseera mw’abaliddwa, kawumpuli aleme okubagwamu.
“When you take up the census of the sons of Israel for their numbers, then they have each given an atonement [for] his soul to YHWH in their being numbered, and there is no plague among them in their being numbered.
13 Buli abalibwa ne yeegatta ku bamaze okubalibwa, anaawaangayo gulaamu mukaaga eri Mukama, ng’okubala okw’Awatukuvu okutongole bwe kuli. Sekeri emu yenkanankana ne gera amakumi abiri. Gulaamu omukaaga zinaaweebwangayo ng’ekiweebwayo eri Mukama.
This they give, everyone passing over to those numbered, half a shekel, by the shekel of the holy place (the shekel [is] twenty gerahs); half a shekel [is] the raised-offering to YHWH;
14 Bonna abeegatta ku bamaze okubalibwa, okuva ku b’emyaka amakumi abiri egy’obukulu, n’okweyongerayo, anaawaayo ekiweebwayo ekyo eri Mukama.
everyone passing over to those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, gives the raised-offering of YHWH;
15 Abagagga tebaawengayo kusussa kitundu kya sekeri, n’omwavu taawengayo kitatuuka kitundu kya sekeri bwe munaawangayo ekiweebwayo eri Mukama olw’okwetangirira obulamu bwammwe.
the rich do not multiply, and the poor do not diminish from the half-shekel, to give the raised-offering of YHWH, to make atonement for your souls.
16 Ensimbi abaana ba Isirayiri ze banaakuwa onoozikozesanga ku mirimu gy’Eweema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu. Kinaabanga ekijjukizo mu maaso ga Mukama, olw’okwetangirira obulamu bwammwe.”
And you have taken the atonement-money from the sons of Israel, and have given it for the service of the Tent of Meeting; and it has been to the sons of Israel for a memorial before YHWH, to make atonement for your souls.”
17 Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti,
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
18 “Onookola ebbensani enaabirwamu nga ya kikomo ne ky’etuulako nga kya kikomo. Giteeke wakati w’ekyoto n’Eweema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu; osseemu amazzi.
“And you have made a laver of bronze (and its base of bronze), for washing; and you have put it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and have put water [in] there,
19 Alooni ne batabani be ge banaakozesanga okunaaba engalo zaabwe n’ebigere byabwe.
and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet from it;
20 Bwe banaabanga bagenda okuyingira mu Weema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, banaanaabanga amazzi, baleme okufa. Era ne bwe banajjanga ku kyoto okuweereza nga bawaayo eri Mukama ekiweebwayo ekyokye n’omuliro,
they wash [with] water in their going into the Tent of Meeting, and do not die; or in their drawing near to the altar to minister, to make incense [as] a fire-offering to YHWH,
21 banaanaabanga engalo zaabwe n’ebigere byabwe, baleme okufa. Kino kinaabanga kiragiro eky’olubeerera eri Alooni n’ezzadde lye emirembe gyonna.”
then they have washed their hands and their feet, and they do not die, and it has been a continuous statute to them, to him and to his seed, throughout their generations.”
22 Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti,
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
23 “Ddira ebyakawoowo bino eby’omuwendo: Kiro mukaaga ez’omugavu omuyenge omuka, ne kiro ssatu eza kinamoni, ne kiro ssatu eza kalamu omuwoomerevu;
“And you, take [these] principal spices for yourself: five hundred [shekels] of liquid myrrh, and the half of that—two hundred and fifty [shekels]—of spice-cinnamon, and two hundred and fifty [shekels] of spice-cane,
24 ne kiro mukaaga eza kasiya, ne lita nnya ez’amafuta g’omuzeeyituuni; ng’ebipimo by’obuzito bw’omu Watukuvu bwe biri.
and five hundred [shekels] of cassia, by the shekel of the holy place, and a hin of olive oil;
25 Bino byonna obikolemu amafuta amatukuvu ag’okusiiga, nga bigattikibbwa bulungi ng’ebikoleddwa omutabuzi w’eby’akawoowo, ne galyoka gabeera amafuta amatukuvu ag’okufukibwangako.
and you have made it a holy anointing oil, a compound mixture, work of a compounder; it is a holy anointing oil.
26 Olyoke osiige n’amafuta ago Eweema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, n’Essanduuko ey’Endagaano,
And with it you have anointed the Tent of Meeting, and the Ark of the Testimony,
27 n’emmeeza n’ebibeerako byonna, n’ekikondo ky’ettaala n’ebyakyo byonna, n’ekyoto eky’obubaane,
and the table and all its vessels, and the lampstand and its vessels, and the altar of incense,
28 n’ekyoto eky’ekiweebwayo ekyokebwa n’ebikozesebwako, n’ebbensani ne kw’etuula.
and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base;
29 Obyawule bifuuke bitukuvu nnyo, era buli ekinaabikomangako nga nakyo kifuuka kitukuvu.
and you have sanctified them, and they have been most holy; all that is coming against them is holy;
30 “Alooni ne batabani be onoobafukako amafuta, obaawule, balyoke bampeerezenga nga bakabona.
and you anoint Aaron and his sons, and have sanctified them for being priests to Me.
31 Era abaana ba Isirayiri obagambe nti, ‘Gano ge ganaabanga amafuta gange amatukuvu ag’okufukibwangako, mu mirembe gyammwe gyonna.
And you speak to the sons of Israel, saying, This is a holy anointing oil to Me, throughout your generations;
32 Tegajjanga kufukibwa ku bantu ba bulijjo; era tewabangawo amafuta amalala agatabulwa mu ngeri eno. Gano matukuvu, era mujjukirenga nti matukuvu.
it is not poured on [the] flesh of man, and you make nothing [else] like it in its proportion; it [is] holy—it is holy to you;
33 Omuntu yenna anaakolanga amafuta ga kalifuuwa okufaanana ne gano, oba anaafukanga gano ku muntu yenna atali kabona, anaawaŋŋangusibwanga, n’ava mu bantu b’ewaabwe.’”
a man who compounds [any] like it, or who puts of it on a stranger, has even been cut off from his people.”
34 Awo Mukama n’agamba Musa nti, “Ddira ebyakaloosa bino eby’omuwendo ennyo: sitakite, n’onuka, ne galabano, n’obubaane obuka, nga byenkanankana obuzito,
And YHWH says to Moses, “Take to yourself spices—stacte, and onycha, and galbanum—spices and pure frankincense; they are part for part;
35 Okolemu ebyakaloosa eby’omuwendo, bibe ng’ebikoleddwa omukugu w’ebyakaloosa. Obiteekemu omunnyo bibeere birongoofu era nga bitukuvu.
and you have made it an incense, a compound, work of a compounder, salted, pure, holy;
36 Onoggyako ekitundu n’okisa ne kifuuka lufufugge, n’okiteeka okwolekera Essanduuko ey’Endagaano mu Weema ey’Okukuŋŋaanirangamu, awo we nnaakusisinkananga. Ekyo kinaabeeranga kitukuvu nnyo, gy’oli.
and you have beaten [some] of it small, and have put of it before the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, to where I meet with you; it is most holy to you.
37 Temwekoleranga ebyakaloosa ebyammwe ku bwammwe mu ntabula eno; bino binaabanga bitukuvu era nga bya Mukama.
As for the incense which you make, you do not make [any] for yourselves in its proportion; it is holy to you for YHWH;
38 Omuntu yenna alikola ebibifaanana yeesanyuse olw’akaloosa kaabyo, anaawaŋŋangusibwanga, n’ava mu bantu b’ewaabwe.”
a man who makes [any] like it—to be refreshed by it—has even been cut off from his people.”
