Abaefeso 6
1 Abaana, muwulirenga bazadde bammwe mu Mukama waffe, kubanga bwe mukola mutyo, mukola kituufu.
Children, obey your parents in our Lord; for this is right.
2 “Kitaawo ne nnyoko obassangamu ekitiibwa,” eryo lye tteeka erisooka eririmu okusuubiza nti:
And the first commandment with promise, is this: Honor thy father and thy mother;
3 Bw’onoobanga obulungi, era n’owangaala ku nsi.
that it may be well with thee, and that thy life may be prolonged on the earth.
4 Nammwe abazadde, temunyigirizanga baana bammwe, wabula mubakuze nga mubagunjula era nga mubayigiriza ebya Mukama waffe.
And parents, anger not your children; but train them up in the discipline and doctrine of our Lord.
5 Abaddu, muwulirenga bakama bammwe ab’omu mubiri nga mubatya era nga mubawa ekitiibwa ng’omutima gwammwe mumalirivu, nga bwe mwamalirira mu Kristo.
Servants, be obedient to your masters after the flesh, with fear, and with trepidation, and with simplicity of heart, as unto the Messiah.
6 Ekyo temukikola lwa kulabibwa, abantu balyoke babasiime, wabula mukolenga ng’abaddu ba Kristo nga mukola n’omutima gwammwe gwonna, nga Katonda bw’ayagala.
Not in the sight of the eye, as if ye were pleasing men; but as the servants of the Messiah, who are doing the will of God.
7 Muweerezenga n’omutima omulungi ng’abakolera Mukama waffe so si ng’abakolera abantu,
And serve them with your whole heart, in love, as if serving our Lord and not men;
8 nga mumanyi ng’ekirungi kyonna omuntu ky’akola, oba muddu oba wa ddembe, Mukama alimusasula empeera ennungi.
knowing that whatever good thing a man may do, the same will be recompensed to him by our Lord, whether he be a servant or a free man.
9 Era nammwe bakama b’abaddu, muyisenga bulungi abaddu bammwe nga temubatiisatiisa, nga mumanyi nti Mukama waabwe, ye Mukama wammwe, ali mu ggulu era ye tasosola mu bantu.
Also ye masters, do ye so to your servants. Forgive them a fault; because ye know, that ye have a master in heaven; and there is no respect of persons with him.
10 Eky’enkomerero, mubenga n’amaanyi mu Mukama waffe ne mu buyinza obw’amaanyi ge.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in our Lord, and; in the energy of his power:
11 Mwambale ebyokulwanyisa byonna ebya Katonda, mulyoke musobole okwolekera enkwe za Setaani.
And put ye on; the whole armor of God, so that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Accuser.
12 Kubanga tetumeggana na mubiri wadde musaayi, wabula tulwanyisa abafuzi, n’ab’obuyinza, n’amaanyi ag’ensi ag’ekizikiza, n’emyoyo emibi egy’omu bifo ebya waggulu. (aiōn g165)
For our conflict is not with flesh and blood, but with principalities, and with those in authority, and with the possessors of this dark world, and with the evil spirits that are beneath heaven. (aiōn g165)
13 Noolwekyo mwambalenga ebyokulwanyisa byonna ebya Katonda, mulyoke musobole okwaŋŋanga omulabe ku lunaku olw’akabi, era bwe mulimala okukola byonna, mulyoke musigale nga muli banywevu.
Therefore put ye on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to meet the evil one; and, being in all respects prepared, may stand firm.
14 Muyimirire nga muli banywevu, ng’amazima lwe lukoba lwammwe lwe mwesibye mu kiwato kyammwe, ate ng’obutuukirivu kye ky’omu kifuba,
Stand up therefore, and gird your loins with truth; and put on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 nga mwambadde n’engatto mu bigere byammwe nga mugenda okubuulira Enjiri ey’emirembe.
and defend your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
16 Era ku ebyo byonna okukkiriza kwammwe kubeerenga engabo eneebasobozesanga okuzikiza obusaale bwonna obw’omuliro obulasibwa omubi.
And herewith take to you the confidence of faith, by which ye will have power to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17 Obulokozi bubafuukire enkuufiira gye mwambadde, n’ekigambo kya Katonda kibabeerere ekitala eky’Omwoyo,
And put on the helmet of rescue; and take hold of the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 nga musabiririranga mu ssaala zonna nga mwegayiririranga mu mwoyo buli kiseera. Mwekuumenga nga mugumiikirizanga, era nga mwegayiririranga abatukuvu, be bantu bonna aba Katonda.
And pray ye, with all prayers and supplications, in spirit, at all times: and in prayer be watchful, at all seasons, praying constantly, and interceding for all the saints:
19 Era nange munsabirenga bwe nnaabanga njogera mpeebwe eby’okwogera, era mbyogerenga n’obuvumu nga ntegeeza abantu ekyama ky’Enjiri.
and also for me; that language may be given me, in the opening of my mouth; so that I may boldly proclaim the mystery of the gospel,
20 Ndi mubaka wa Njiri ali mu njegere. Munsabire ndyoke ngibuulire abantu n’obuvumu nga bwe kinsaanira.
of which I am a messenger in chains; that I may utter it boldly, as I ought to utter it.
21 Tukiko, owooluganda omwagalwa era omuweereza omwesigwa mu Mukama waffe, alibategeeza byonna mulyoke mutegeere ebinfaako ne bye nkola.
And that ye also may know my affairs, and what I am doing, lo, Tychicus, a beloved brother, and a faithful minister in our Lord, will acquaint you;
22 Mmutumye gye muli, mulyoke mumanye nga bwe tuli era abagumye emitima gyammwe.
whom I have sent to you for this purpose, that ye might know what is going on with me, and that your hearts may be comforted.
23 Emirembe n’okwagala awamu n’okukkiriza ebiva eri Katonda Kitaffe ne Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo, bibeerenga n’abooluganda.
Peace be with the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus the Messiah.
24 Ekisa kya Katonda kibeerenga n’abo bonna abaagala Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo n’okwagala okutaggwaawo.
Grace be with all them who love our Lord Jesus the Messiah without corruptness. Amen.
