1 Edda mwali mufiiridde mu byonoono byammwe ne mu bibi byammwe.
And you hath he quickened, that were dead in trespasses and sinnes,
2 Ebyo bye mwatambulirangamu ng’emirembe egy’ensi bwe giri, nga mufugibwa omwoyo ogw’omukulu w’obuyinza obw’omu bbanga, omwoyo ogwa Setaani, ogufuga abajeemu bonna. (aiōn g165)
Wherein, in times past ye walked, according to the course of this world, and after the prince that ruleth in the aire, euen the spirite, that nowe worketh in the children of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
3 Edda naffe twatambuliranga mu kwegomba kw’emibiri gyaffe, nga tukola ebyo ebyegombebwanga omubiri n’ebirowoozo. Era okufaanana ng’abantu abalala bonna, naffe mu buzaaliranwa twali baakubonerezebwa ng’abalala bonna.
Among whom we also had our conuersation in time past, in the lustes of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and of the minde, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others.
4 Kyokka olw’okwagala kwe okungi, n’ekisa kye ekingi,
But God which is rich in mercie, through his great loue wherewith he loued vs,
5 ne bwe twali nga tufiiridde mu bibi byaffe, yatufuula abalamu awamu ne Kristo. Mwalokolebwa lwa kisa.
Euen when we were dead by sinnes, hath quickened vs together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saued,
6 Katonda yatuzuukiriza wamu ne Kristo okuva mu kufa ne tufuna obulamu, era atutuuzizza mu bifo eby’omu ggulu, okumpi ne Kristo Yesu.
And hath raysed vs vp together, and made vs sit together in the heauenly places in Christ Iesus,
7 Ekyo Katonda yakikola alyoke alage, mu mirembe egigenda okujja, ekisa kye ekingi kye yatukwatirwa mu Kristo Yesu. (aiōn g165)
That he might shewe in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindnesse toward vs in Christ Iesus. (aiōn g165)
8 Mwalokolebwa lwa kisa olw’okukkiriza. Tekwava mu mmwe, wabula kirabo kya Katonda.
For by grace are ye saued through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God,
9 Tekwatuweebwa lwa bikolwa byaffe; noolwekyo omuntu yenna aleme okwenyumirizanga.
Not of workes, least any man should boast himselfe.
10 Tuli mulimu gwa Katonda, abaatondebwa mu Kristo Yesu, okukolanga ebikolwa ebirungi, nga Katonda bwe yatuteekerateekera.
For we are his workemanship created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath ordeined, that we should walke in them.
11 Noolwekyo mujjukire, ng’edda mmwe abaali Abaamawanga mu mubiri, abaayitibwanga abatali bakomole abo abeeyita abaakomolebwa, kyokka nga baakomolebwa mu mubiri na ngalo z’abantu,
Wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, and called vncircumcision of them, which are called circumcision in the flesh, made with hands,
12 nga mu biro biri temwamanya Kristo. Temwabalirwa mu ggwanga lya Isirayiri, era ng’Abaamawanga, temwalina mugabo mu ndagaano ya Katonda ey’ekisuubizo. Mwali wala ne Katonda, nga n’essuubi temulina.
That ye were, I say, at that time without Christ, and were alients from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the couenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world.
13 Naye kaakano mu Kristo Yesu, mmwe abaali ewala mwasembezebwa olw’omusaayi gwa Kristo.
But nowe in Christ Iesus, ye which once were farre off, are made neere by the blood of Christ.
14 Kristo gy’emirembe gyaffe, oyo eyatufuula ffe Abayudaaya nammwe Abaamawanga, okuba omuntu omu, ng’amenyeewo ekisenge ekya wakati eky’obulabe, ekyatwawulanga.
For he is our peace, which hath made of both one, and hath broken the stoppe of the partition wall,
15 Yadibya n’etteeka mu mateeka, alyoke yeetondemu omuntu omuggya ava mu babiri, ng’aleeta emirembe,
In abrogating through his flesh the hatred, that is, the Lawe of commandements which standeth in ordinances, for to make of twaine one newe man in himselfe, so making peace,
16 alyoke atabaganye ababiri okufuuka omubiri gumu eri Katonda olw’omusaalaba, bwe yazikiririza obulabe ku gwo.
And that he might reconcile both vnto God in one body by his crosse, and slay hatred thereby,
17 Yajja okubuulira emirembe abo abaali ewala ne Katonda, n’abo abaali okumpi naye.
And came, and preached peace to you which were afarre off, and to them that were neere.
18 Ku bw’oyo Kristo ffenna tuyita mu Mwoyo omu okutuuka eri Kitaffe.
For through him we both haue an entrance vnto the Father by one Spirit.
19 Noolwekyo temukyali baamawanga oba abagwira, wabula muli ba kika kimu n’abatukuvu, abantu ba Katonda, era muli ba mu nnyumba ya Katonda.
Nowe therefore ye are no more strangers and forreiners: but citizens with the Saintes, and of the houshold of God,
20 Mwazimbibwa ku musingi ogw’abatume ne bannabbi, nga Kristo Yesu ly’ejjinja ekkulu ery’oku nsonda.
And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,
21 Mu oyo ffenna tuzimbibwa wamu ne tugattibwa wamu ne tubeera essinzizo ettukuvu mu Mukama waffe.
In whom all the building coupled together, groweth vnto an holy Temple in the Lord.
22 Era nammwe mwazimbibwa wamu mu kizimbe ekyo Kristo ky’azimbye okubeeranga ekifo Omwoyo wa Katonda mwabeera.
In whom ye also are built together to be the habitation of God by the Spirit.
