1 Awo Musa ng’ali n’abakulu abakulembeze ba Isirayiri n’alagira abantu nti, “Ebiragiro byonna bye mbategeeza leero mubikuumenga.
Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people and said, “Keep all the commandments that I command you today.
2 Bwe mumalanga okusomoka omugga Yoludaani n’oyingira mu nsi Mukama Katonda wo gy’akuwa, oddiranga amayinja amanene n’ogategeka n’ogakubako omuyiko ogw’ennoni ng’etabuddwamu omusenyu.
On the day when you will pass over the Jordan to the land that Yahweh your God is giving you, you must set up some large stones and plaster them with plaster.

You must write on them all the words of this law when you have passed over; that you may go into the land that Yahweh your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, has promised you.

You must build the altar of Yahweh your God of unworked stones; you must offer burnt offerings on it to Yahweh your God,
7 Oliwaayo ebiweebwayo olw’emirembe, n’obiriira eyo ng’osanyukira mu maaso ga Mukama Katonda wo.
and you will sacrifice fellowship offerings and will eat there; you will rejoice before Yahweh your God.
8 Era ku mayinja ago g’oliba otegese oliwandiikako n’obwegendereza ebigambo byonna eby’amateeka gano.”
You will write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly.”
9 Awo Musa ng’ali n’Abaleevi, bakabona, n’agamba Abayisirayiri bonna nti, “Sirika owulire ggwe Isirayiri! Ku lunaku lwa leero lwennyini ofuuse eggwanga lya Mukama Katonda wo.
Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel and said, “Be silent and listen, Israel: Today you have become the people of Yahweh your God.
10 Noolwekyo ogonderanga Mukama Katonda wo n’okwatanga amateeka ge n’ebiragiro bye, bye nkulagira leero.”
You must therefore obey the voice of Yahweh your God and obey his commandments and statutes that I am commanding you today.”
11 Ku lunaku lwe lumu Musa yakuutira abantu bw’ati nti,
Moses commanded the people the same day and said,
12 Bwe mulimala okusomoka omugga Yoludaani, ab’omu bika bino baliyimirira ku Lusozi Gerizimu ne basabira abantu omukisa: Simyoni, ne Leevi, ne Yuda, ne Isakaali, ne Yusufu, ne Benyamini.
“These tribes must stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people after you have passed over the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.
13 Ate ab’omu bika bino baliyimirira ku Lusozi Ebali ne balangirira ebikolimo: Lewubeeni, ne Gaadi, ne Aseri, ne Zebbulooni, ne Ddaani, ne Nafutaali.
These are the tribes that must stand on Mount Ebal to pronounce curses: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 Awo Abaleevi balirangirira n’eddoboozi ddene eri abantu bonna Abayisirayiri nti:
The Levites will answer and say to all the men of Israel in a loud voice:
15 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akola ekifaananyi ekitali Katonda oba abumba ekintu ng’ekyo kyonna Mukama ky’akyayira ddala nga kikolebwa omukozi nnakinku, omuntu oyo n’abaako ne wakiyimiriza mu kyama.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who makes a carved or cast figure, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of a craftsman, and who sets it up in secret.' Then all the people must answer and say, 'Amen.'
16 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atassaamu kitiibwa kitaawe oba nnyina.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who dishonors his father or his mother.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
17 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akyusa ekituuti ekiraga ensalo ya muliraanwa we.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who removes his neighbor's landmark.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
18 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna aggya omuzibe w’amaaso mu kkubo ettuufu n’amubuza.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who makes the blind to wander away from the road.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
19 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atalaga bwenkanya eri bannamawanga, oba bamulekwa oba bannamwandu.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who uses force to take away the justice due to a foreigner, fatherless, or widow.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
20 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna eyeebaka ne muka kitaawe, kubanga ekitanda kya kitaawe akimalamu ekitiibwa.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who lies with his father's wife, because he has taken away his father's rights.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
21 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akola ebyobukaba n’ensolo.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who sleeps with any kind of beast.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
22 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna eyeebaka ne mwannyina omuwala wa kitaawe, oba muwala wa nnyina.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father, or with the daughter of his mother.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
23 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna eyeebaka ne nnyina wa mukazi we.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who sleeps with his mother-in-law.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
24 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atemula munne.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who kills his neighbor secretly.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
25 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna akkiriza okugulirirwa atte munne ataliiko musango.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
26 “Akolimirwe omuntu yenna atagondera bigambo ebiri mu mateeka gano.” Abantu bonna ne baddamu nti, “Amiina.”
'May the man be cursed who does not confirm the words of this law, that he will obey them.' Then all the people must say, 'Amen.'
