1 Awo akasasamalo bwe kakkakkana, Pawulo n’atumya abayigirizwa, ne bakuŋŋaana, n’ababuulira ekigambo kya Katonda ng’abasiibula n’okubagumya, n’alyoka asitula n’alaga mu Makedoniya.
Now, after the tumult was ceased, Paul, calling the disciples to him: and embracing them, departed to go into Macedonia.
2 N’agenda ng’ayitaayita mu bitundu ebyo ng’ayogera n’abantu ebigambo bingi eby’okubagumya n’okubanyiikiza mu kukkiriza kwabwe. Oluvannyuma n’atuuka mu Buyonaani,
And going through those parts, and having exhorted them with much discourse, he came into Greece.
3 n’amalamu emyezi esatu. Bwe yali ateekateeka okusaabala ku nnyanja okulaga mu Siriya, n’avumbula olukwe Abayudaaya lwe baali basaze okumutta, kyeyava asalawo okuddayo mu Makedoniya gy’aba ayita.
And when he had continued there three months, as an ambush was laid for him by the Jews, when he was about to embark for Syria, he thought it advisable to return by Macedonia.
4 Abaamuwerekerako mu lugendo olwo okutuuka mu Asiya, be bano: Sopateri Omuberoya mutabani wa Puulo, ne Alisutaluuko ne Sekundo Abasessaloniika, ne Gaayo Omuderube, ne Timoseewo, n’Abasiya, Tukiko ne Tulofiimo.
And Sopater, the Berean, accompanied him as far as Asia; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius, of Derbe, and Timothy: and of the Asiatics, Tychicus and Trophimus.
5 Oluvannyuma bano bonna ne batukulembera ne batulinda e Tulowa.
These, going before, staid for us at Troas.
6 Ne tusaabala ku nnyanja okuva e Firipi nga tumaze embaga ey’Emigaati Egitazimbulukuswa, ne tumala ku nnyanja ennaku ttaano, bannaffe ne tubatuukako mu Tulowa ne tumalawo ennaku musanvu.
And we set sail from Philippi, after the days of unleavened bread, and came to them at Troas in five days, where we continued seven days.
7 Awo olumu ku nnaku za ssabbiiti, bwe twali tukuŋŋaanye okumenya omugaati, Pawulo n’abaako bye yali abayigiriza. Naye olwokubanga enkeera yali asitula, n’ayogerera ebbanga ddene nnyo, n’atuusa mu ttumbi ng’akyayogera!
And on the first day of the week, when the disciples met together to break bread, Paul, being about to depart on the morrow, discoursed to them, and continued his speech until midnight.
8 Mu kisenge ekya waggulu mwe twali tukuŋŋaanidde mwalimu ettaala nnyingi nga zaaka.
And there were many lamps in the upper room, in which we were assembled;
9 Waaliwo omuvubuka erinnya lye Yutuko, eyali atudde mu ddirisa, otulo ne tumukwata. Pawulo bwe yalwawo ng’akyayogera, omuvubuka ne yeebakira ddala, okutuusa lwe yasimattuka mu ddirisa ku mwaliiro ogwokusatu n’agwa ebweru n’afiirawo.
and a certain young man, whose name was Eutychus, sitting in a window, fell into a profound sleep: and as Paul continued his discourse a long time, he was so overpowered with sleep that he fell down from the third story, and was taken up dead.
10 Pawulo n’akka wansi n’amusitula n’amuwambaatira mu mikono gye. N’agamba nti, “Temweraliikirira, mulamu!”
And Paul went down, and fell upon him, and taking him in his arms, said, Do not make any disturbance, for his life is in him.
11 Awo bonna ne baddayo waggulu ne bamenya omugaati ne balya. Pawulo ne yeyongera okwogera okutuusiza ddala obudde okukya, n’alyoka asitula n’agenda.
And going up again, and having broken bread, and eaten, he conversed a considerable time, even till break of day, and so departed.
12 Ne baddamu amaanyi, n’omuvubuka ne bamutwala eka nga mulamu.
And they brought the youth alive, and were not a little comforted.
13 Awo Pawulo ne tumukulembera ne tusaabala ku nnyanja okulaga mu Aso, Pawulo nga bwe yali ateeseteese, kubanga ye yali ateeseteese kuyita ku lukalu.
But we went before into the ship, and sailed to Assos, where we are to take up Paul, for so he had appointed, choosing himself to go on foot.
14 Bwe yatusisinkana mu Aso, ne tutuuka e Mituleene.
And as soon as he joined us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene,
15 Bwe twava eyo ne tuwunguka olunaku olwaddirira ne tutuuka mu kifo ekyolekedde Kiyo. Ne ku lunaku olwaddirira ne tusala ne tudda e Samo, ne ku lunaku olwaddirira ne tutuuka e Mireeto.
And sailing thence, we came the next day over against Chios; and the day following, we touched at Samos, and having staid at Trogyllium, we came the day after to Miletus.
16 Pawulo yali asazeewo obutayimirira mu Efeso nga yeewala okumala ekiseera ekinene mu Asiya, kubanga yali yeeyuna nti ssinga asobola, atuuke mu Yerusaalemi ng’olunaku lwa Pentekoote terunnatuuka.
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, that he might not spend any time in Asia; for he earnestly endeavored, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
17 Bwe yatuuka e Mireeto, n’atumira abakadde b’Ekkanisa ya Efeso bajje bamulabe.
But, sending to Ephesus, from Miletus, he called thither the elders of the congregation.
18 Awo bwe baatuuka Pawulo n’agamba nti, “Mumanyi bulungi ng’okuva ku lunaku lwe natuukirako mu Asiya n’okutuusa leero,
And when they were come to him, he said to them, You know how I have been conversant among you all the time, from the first day in which I entered into Asia,
19 nkoze omulimu gwa Mukama mmuweereza n’obuwombeefu n’amaziga n’okugezesebwa ebyantukako olw’enkwe z’Abayudaaya.
serving the Lord, with all humility, and with tears, and trials which befell me by the ambushes of the Jews:
20 Naye saalekayo kubabuulira bituufu eby’okubayamba, bwe twabanga tukuŋŋaanye oba bwe najjanga mu maka gammwe,
and how I have suppressed nothing that was advantageous, not neglecting to announce to you, and to teach you publicly and privately;
21 nga ntegeeza Abayudaaya n’Abayonaani okwenenya badde eri Katonda, n’okuba n’okukkiriza mu Mukama waffe Yesu.
testifying both to the Jews and Greeks, reformation with respect to God, and faith with respect to our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 “Ne kaakano laba nsibiddwa Mwoyo Mutukuvu, ŋŋenda e Yerusaalemi nga simanyi binaantukako nga ndi eyo.
And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, bound by the Spirit, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
23 Wabula Mwoyo Mutukuvu antegeeza nti okusibibwa n’okubonyaabonyezebwa binnindiridde mu buli kibuga.
except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.
24 Naye obulamu bwange sibutwala kuba nga kya muwendo gye ndi, ndyoke ntuukirize omulimu gwange, n’obuweereza bwe nnaweebwa Mukama waffe Yesu, okutegeezanga Enjiri ey’ekisa kya Katonda.
But I make no account of any of these things, nor do I regard even life itself; so that I may but joyfully finish my course, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, even to testify the good news of the favor of God.
25 “Ne kaakano mmanyi nga temukyaddayo kundaba nate, mwenna be natambulamu nga mbuulira obwakabaka.
And now, behold, I know that you all, with whom I have conversed, proclaiming the kingdom of God, shall not see my face any more.
26 Noolwekyo mbategeeza leero nti sirina kyenvunaanwa olw’omusaayi gwa bonna,
Wherefore, I testify to you this day, that I am clear from the blood of all men.
27 kubanga sirina na kimu kye nalekayo nga mbabuulira okwagala kwa Katonda.
For I have not declined to declare to you all the counsel of God.
28 Mwekumenga era mukuumenga n’ekisibo kyonna Mwoyo Mutukuvu mwe yabateeka okuba abalabirizi okulabiriranga Ekkanisa ya Katonda gye yeegulira n’omusaayi gwe.
Therefore, take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock over which the Holy Spirit has constituted you overseers; to feed the congregation of the Lord, which he has redeemed with his own blood.
29 Mmanyi nga bwe ndigenda, emisege emikambwe giribayingiramu, era tegirisaasira kisibo.
For I know this, that after my departure, grievous wolves will enter in among you, having no mercy on the flock.
30 Ne mu mmwe bennyini mulivaamu abasajja aboogera ebintu ebikyamu, okwefunira abayigirizwa abanaabagobereranga.
Yes, from among your own selves men shall arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Noolwekyo mwekuume. Mujjukire nga bwe nababuulirira nga nkaaba amaziga okumala emyaka esatu, emisana n’ekiro, ne mundeeta n’amaziga.
Watch, therefore, remembering that for the space of three years, I ceased not to warn every one, night and day, with tears.
32 “Kaakano mbasigira Katonda n’ekigambo eky’ekisa kye ebiyinza okubazimba n’okubawa omugabo mu abo bonna abaatukuzibwa.
And now, brethren, I recommend you to God, and to the word of his favor, who is able to edify you, and to give you an inheritance among all that are sanctified.
33 Siyaayaaniranga ffeeza newaakubadde zaabu wadde engoye eby’omuntu n’omu.
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 Mmwe bennyini mumanyi nti neetuusizaako ebyetaago byange n’eby’abo bendi nabo.
Yes, you yourselves know, that these hands ministered to my necessities, and to those that were with me.
35 Mbalaze mu buli kintu nga mu kukola n’amaanyi, kibagwanira okuyamba abanafu, ate n’okujjukira ebigambo bya Mukama waffe Yesu bye yayogera nti, ‘Okugaba kwa mukisa okusinga okuweebwa.’”
I have showed you all things; how, that thus laboring, you ought to assist the infirm, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is much happier to give than to receive.
36 Awo Pawulo bwe yamala okwogera ebyo, n’afukamira n’asaba nabo bonna.
And having said these things, he kneeled down and prayed with them all.
37 Buli omu n’akaaba nnyo amaziga, ne bamugwa mu kifuba okumusiibula,
And there was great lamentation among them all: and falling upon Paul's neck, they kissed him;
38 nga banakuwavu, naye okusinga byonna olw’ekigambo kye yayogera nti, Tebakyaddayo kumulaba. Ne bamuwerekerako ne bamutuusa ku kyombo.
especially grieving for that word which he spoke, that they should see his face no more. And they conducted him to the ship.
