< Ebikolwa by’Abatume 14 >
1 Awo Pawulo ne Balunabba bwe baatuuka mu Ikoniya ne bayingira mu kkuŋŋaaniro ly’Abayudaaya. Ne babuulira n’amaanyi mangi era abantu bangi Abayudaaya n’Abayonaani ne bakkiriza.
It came to pass now in Iconium according to the same entering they into the synagogue of the Jews and speaking so that to believe of Jews both and Greeks a great number.
2 Naye Abayudaaya abaagaana okukkiriza ne bassa omutima omubi mu baamawanga okukyawa abooluganda.
The however (disobeying *N(k)O*) Jews stirred up and they poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against the brothers.
3 Ne baabeerayo ebbanga gwanvu nga babuulira n’obuvumu, era Mukama n’akakasanga ekigambo ky’ekisa kye ng’abawa okukola obubonero n’ebyamagero.
A long indeed therefore time they stayed speaking boldly about the Lord who is bearing witness (to *n*) the word of the grace of Him, (and *k*) granting signs and wonders to be done through the hands of them.
4 Naye ekibiina ky’abantu mu kibuga ne kyawukanamu abamu ne bagoberera Abayudaaya n’abalala ne bakkiriza abatume.
Was divided now the multitude of the city, and some indeed were with the Jews, some however with the apostles.
5 Abayudaaya n’abakulembeze baabwe awamu n’Abamawanga, ne basala olukwe okubonyaabonya abatume, n’okubakuba amayinja.
When then there was a rush of the Gentiles both and Jews with the rulers of them to mistreat and to stone them,
6 Naye Pawulo ne Balunabba olukwe ne baluggukamu ne baddukira mu bibuga ebya Lukawoniya ne Lusitula ne Derube, ne mu bitundu ebiriraanyeewo,
having become aware they fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe and the surrounding region,
7 era n’eyo ne babuulirirayo Enjiri.
and there and there evangelising they were continuing.
8 Mu Lusitula mwalimu omusajja eyazaalibwa nga mulema, ng’ebigere bye bigongobavu, nga tatambulangako.
And a certain man crippled in Lystra in the feet was sitting, lame from [the] womb of [the] mother of him (being *k*) who never (walked. *N(k)O*)
9 N’atuula awo ng’awuliriza Pawulo bye yali ayogera. Pawulo n’amwekaliriza amaaso n’alaba ng’alina okukkiriza okuwonyezebwa.
This [man] (heard *N(k)O*) Paul speaking, who having looked intently at him and having seen that he has faith to be healed,
10 Pawulo n’amugamba mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “Yimirira ku bigere byo, weegolole!” Amangwago omusajja n’ayimirira, n’atandika okutambula!
said in a loud (*ko*) voice; do stand on the feet of you (upright! *NK(o)*) And (he sprang up *N(k)O*) and was walking.
11 Awo ekibiina ky’abantu bwe baalaba Pawulo ky’akoze, ne baleekaanira waggulu mu lulimi lwabwe Olulikaoniya nti, “Bakatonda basse wansi gye tuli nga bali mu kifaananyi ky’abantu!”
(And *N(k)O*) the crowds having seen what did (*k*) Paul lifted up the voice of them in Lycaonian saying; The gods having become like as men have come down to us;
12 Balunabba ne bamuyita Zewu, Pawulo ne bamuyita Kerume kubanga ye yali omwogezi omukulu.
They were calling then (one *k*) Barnabas Zeus, other Paul Hermes, because he himself was the leading speaker.
13 Awo kabona wa Zewu, eyali ebweru w’ekibuga, n’agenda n’aleeta ente ennume n’ebimuli ku wankaaki, ye n’ekibiina ky’abantu ne baagala okuwaayo ssaddaaka.
(And *N(k)O*) the priest of Zeus who is being just outside the city (of them *k*) oxen and wreaths to the gates having brought with the crowds was desiring to sacrifice.
14 Naye abatume, Balunabba ne Pawulo, bwe baabiwulira, ne bayuza engoye zaabwe, ne bafubutuka ne bayingira mu kibiina ky’abantu nga baleekaana nga bagamba nti,
Having heard however the apostles Barnabas and Paul having torn the garments (of them *NK(o)*) (rushed out *N(k)O*) into the crowd crying out
15 “Abasajja! Kiki ekibakozesa ebintu bino? Naffe tuli bantu buntu nga mmwe! Twazze tubabuulire mukyuke okuva ku bintu bino ebitaliimu mudde eri Katonda omulamu eyakola eggulu n’ensi, n’ennyanja n’ebintu byonna ebirimu.
and saying; Men, why these things do you? Also we ourselves of like nature are with you men, evangelising to you from these vanities to turn to (*k*) God (who *k*) is living, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all the [things] in them,
16 Mu mirembe egyayita yaleka amawanga gonna okukwata amakubo ge baayagalanga.
who in the having past generations allowed all the nations to go in the ways of them;
17 Kyokka tasigalirangako awo nga talina bujulirwa ng’abakolera ebirungi okuva mu ggulu, ng’aweereza enkuba, n’okubawa ebiro eby’okubalizangamu ebibala n’okubakkusa emmere, era n’okubajjuza essanyu mu mitima gyabwe.”
(and yet and yet *N(k)O*) not without witness (Himself *N(k)O*) He has left (doing good, *N(k)O*) from heaven (to you *N(K)O*) rains giving and seasons fruitful, filling with food and gladness the hearts (of you. *N(K)O*)
18 Newaakubadde baabategeeza bwe batyo, naye era katono balemwe okuziyiza ebibiina okubawa ssaddaaka.
And these things saying hardly they stopped the crowds not sacrificing to them.
19 Awo Abayudaaya ne batuuka nga bava mu Antiyokiya ne mu Ikoniya, ne basasamaza ebibiina, ne bakuba Pawulo amayinja ne bamukulula ne bamutwala ebweru w’ekibuga nga balowooza nti afudde.
Came however from Antioch and Iconium Jews, and having persuaded the crowds and having stoned Paul they were dragging [him] outside the city (supposing *N(k)O*) him (to have died. *N(k)O*)
20 Naye abayigirizwa ne bajja ne bayimirira okumwetooloola, n’asituka n’addayo mu kibuga! Enkeera ne basitula ne Balunabba ne balaga mu Derube.
When were sorrounding however the disciples him having risen up he entered into the city And on the next day he went away with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 Ne babuulira Enjiri mu kibuga ekyo, era abantu bangi ne bakkiriza. Ne baddayo mu Lusitula, ne mu Ikoniya, ne mu Antiyokiya,
Having evangelised then the city that and having discipled many they returned to Lystra and (to *no*) Iconium and (to *no*) Antioch;
22 ne babuulirira abakkiriza, nga babakubiriza banywerere mu kukkiriza, era ne babagamba nti, “Kitugwanidde okuyingira mu bwakabaka bwa Katonda nga tuyita mu bibonoobono ebingi.”
strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting [them] to continue in the faith and that through many tribulations it behooves us to enter into the kingdom of God.
23 Pawulo ne Balunabba buli kkanisa baagironderamu abakadde. Ne basaba ne basiiba, ne babakwasa Mukama, oyo gwe bakkiriza.
Having chosen now for them in every church elders, having prayed with fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
24 Awo ne batambula ne bayita mu Pisidiya ne batuuka e Panfuliya,
And having passed through Pisidia they came to (*no*) Pamphylia,
25 bwe baamala okubuulira ebigambo mu Peruga, ne beeyongerayo mu Ataliya.
and having spoken in Perga the word they went down to Attalia;
26 Oluvannyuma ne basaabala ku nnyanja okuddayo mu Antiyokiya, gye baali baasigirwa ekisa kya Katonda olw’omulimu gwe baakola.
And from there And from there they sailed to Antioch, from where they had committed to the grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled.
27 Bwe baatuuka, ne bakuŋŋaanya ekkanisa ne babategeeza ebyafa mu lugendo lwabwe, ne byonna Katonda bye yabakozesa, n’Abamawanga nga bwe yabaggulirawo oluggi olw’okukkiriza.
Having arrived now and having gathered together the church (they were declaring *N(k)O*) how much did God with them and that He had opened to the Gentiles a door of faith.
28 Ne babeera eyo ne bamalayo ebbanga ggwanvu nga bali n’abayigirizwa.
They were remaining then (there *k*) time no little with the disciples.
