1 Nkukuutirira mu maaso ga Katonda ne Kristo Yesu, anaatera okusalira abalamu n’abafu omusango, era n’olw’okujja kwe, n’olw’obwakabaka bwe,

I fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge [the] living and dead at His appearing and His Kingdom—

2 buuliranga ekigambo kya Katonda, ng’oli mwetegefu mu kiseera ekituufu n’ekitali kituufu, ng’olaga ebikwekeddwa, ng’onenya, ng’ozaamu amaanyi, wakati mu kugumiikiriza, n’okubonaabona okungi, n’okuyigiriza.

preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season; convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,

3 Kubanga ekiseera kijja lwe baligaana okuwulira enjigiriza entuufu, era olw’okugoberera okwegomba kwabwe balyekuŋŋaanyiza abayigiriza, abalibayigiriza bye baagala, okuwulira.

for there will be a season when they will not endure the sound teaching, but they will heap up teachers according to their own desires—having an itching ear,

4 Baligaana okuwuliriza eby’amazima, ne bagoberera enfumo obufumo.

and, indeed, they will turn away from hearing the truth, and they will be turned aside to the fables.

5 Naye ggwe weefugenga mu bintu byonna, ogumirenga ebizibu, ng’okola omulimu ogw’omubuulizi w’enjiri, ng’otuukiririza ddala obuweereza bwo.

But you—watch in all things; suffer evil; do the work of one proclaiming good news; make full assurance of your ministry,

6 Nze kaakano mpebwayo, era ekiseera kyange eky’okuva ku nsi kituuse.

for I am already being poured out, and the time of my release has arrived;

7 Nnwanye okulwana okulungi, mmalirizza olugendo lwange, nkuumye okukkiriza kwange.

I have striven the good strife, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;

8 Kye nsigazza kwe kufuna engule ey’obutuukirivu enterekeddwa, Mukama omulamuzi omutuukirivu gy’alimpeera ku lunaku luli. Taligiwa nze nzekka, naye aligiwa n’abo bonna abeegomba okujja kwe.

from now on there is laid up for me the garland of righteousness that the LORD—the Righteous Judge—will give to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those loving His appearing.

9 Fuba okujja amangu gye ndi.

Be diligent to come to me quickly,

10 Kubanga Dema yandekawo ng’ayagala omulembe gwa kaakano, n’agenda e Sessaloniika. Kulesuke yagenda Ggalatiya ne Tito n’agenda e Dalumatiya. (aiōn g165)

for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia; (aiōn g165)

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; may the LORD repay to him according to his works,

15 Naawe mwekuume, kubanga yawakanya nnyo ebigambo byaffe.

of whom you also beware, for he has greatly stood against our words;

16 Mu kuwoza kwange okwasooka, tewaali n’omu yajja kubeera nange, bonna banjabulira. Nsaba Katonda ekyo kireme kubavunaanibwa.

no one stood with me in my first defense, but all forsook me (may it not be reckoned to them),

17 Kyokka Mukama waffe yabeera nange, n’ampa amaanyi, ne nsobola okutegeereza ddala Abaamawanga bonna Enjiri ne bagiwulira, bw’atyo n’anziggya mu kamwa k’empologoma.

but the LORD stood by me, and strengthened me, that the preaching might be fully assured through me, and all the nations might hear, and I was freed out of the mouth of a lion,

and the LORD will free me from every evil work, and will save [me]—to His heavenly kingdom; to whom [is] the glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

The Lord Jesus Christ [is] with your spirit. The grace [is] with you! Amen.
