< 2 Timoseewo 3 >

1 Naye tegeera kino nga mu nnaku ez’oluvannyuma walibaawo ebiseera ebizibu.
And know this: that in the last days perilous times will press near.
2 Kubanga abantu baliba nga beefaako bokka, nga balulunkanira ensimbi, nga beepanka, nga beekuluntaza, nga boogera ebibi, era nga tebawulira bazadde baabwe, nga tebeebaza, nga tebatya Katonda,
Men will be lovers of themselves, greedy, self-exalting, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked,
3 nga tebaagalana era nga tebatabagana, nga bawaayiriza, nga tebeegendereza, nga bakambwe, nga tebaagala birungi,
without affection, without peace, false accusers, unchaste, cruel, without kindness,
4 nga ba nkwe, nga baagala eby’amasanyu okusinga bwe baagala Katonda;
traitorous, reckless, self-important, loving pleasure more than God,
5 nga balina ekifaananyi eky’okutya Katonda so nga tebakkiriza maanyi gaakyo. Abantu ab’engeri eyo obeewalanga.
even having the appearance of piety while rejecting its virtue. And so, avoid them.
6 Mu abo mulimu abasensera mu mayumba ne bawamba abakazi abanafu mu mwoyo abazitoowereddwa ebibi, era abawalulwa okwegomba okubi okwa buli ngeri,
For among these are ones who penetrate houses and lead away, like captives, foolish women burdened with sins, who are led away by means of various desires,
7 abayiga bulijjo, kyokka ne batatuuka ku kutegeerera ddala amazima,
always learning, yet never achieving knowledge of the truth.
8 nga Yane ne Yambere abaawakanya Musa, ne bano bwe batyo bawakanya amazima. Be bantu abaayonooneka ebirowoozo, abatakyalina kukkiriza kutuufu.
And in the same manner that Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so also will these resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobates from the faith.
9 Kyokka tebaliiko gye balaga, kubanga obusirusiru bwabwe bujja kumanyibwa abantu bonna, ng’obwa abasajja abo bwe bwamanyibwa.
But they will not advance beyond a certain point. For the folly of the latter shall be made manifest to all, just as that of the former.
10 Naye ggwe wagoberera nnyo okuyigiriza kwange, n’empisa zange, ne kye nduubirira, n’okukkiriza kwange n’okubonaabona kwange n’okwagala kwange, n’okugumiikiriza kwange,
But you have fully comprehended my doctrine, instruction, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,
11 n’okuyigganyizibwa n’okubonyaabonyezebwa ebyantukako mu Antiyokiya, ne mu Ikoniya ne mu Lisitula, okuyigganyizibwa kwe nayigganyizibwa, kyokka Mukama n’amponya mu byonna.
persecutions, afflictions; such things as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra; how I endured persecutions, and how the Lord rescued me from everything.
12 Era bonna abaagala okuba mu bulamu obutya Katonda mu Kristo Yesu, banaayigganyizibwanga.
And all those who willingly live the piety in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
13 Naye abakozi b’ebibi n’abalimba abeefuula okuba ekyo kye batali balyeyongera okuba ababi, ne babuzaabuza abalala, era nabo ne babula.
But evil men and deceivers will advance in evil, erring and sending into error.
14 Kyokka ggwe nywereranga mu ebyo bye wayiga era n’obikkiririza ddala, ng’omanyi abaabikuyigiriza bwe bali.
Yet truly, you should remain in those things which you have learned and which have been entrusted to you. For you know from whom you have learned them.
15 Kubanga okuva mu buto bwo wamanya Ebyawandiikibwa Ebitukuvu ebiyinza okukufuula ow’amagezi, n’olokolebwa olw’okukkiriza Kristo Yesu.
And, from your infancy, you have known the Sacred Scriptures, which are able to instruct you toward salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 Ebyawandiikibwa Ebitukuvu byonna, Katonda ye yabiruŋŋamya nga biwandiikibwa, era bigasa mu kuyigiriza, mu kunenya, mu kuluŋŋamya ne mu kubuuliranga omuntu abe omutuukirivu,
All Scripture, having been divinely inspired, is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in justice,
17 omuntu wa Katonda alyoke abe ng’atuukiridde, ng’alina byonna ebyetaagibwa okukola buli mulimu omulungi.
so that the man of God may be perfect, having been trained for every good work.
