< 2 Abakkolinso 3 >
1 Tutandike okwetendereza? Oba twetaaga ebbaluwa ez’okutusemba gye muli mmwe oba okuva gye muli ng’abalala?
Must we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some, letters of recommendation to you, or letters of recommendation from you?
2 Mmwe muli bbaluwa yaffe, ewandiikiddwa mu mitima gyaffe, emanyiddwa era esomebwa abantu bonna,
You are out letter, written on our hearts, known and read of all men.
3 ekiraga nti muli bbaluwa eva eri Kristo, enywezeddwa ffe, etaawandiikibwa na bwino, wabula na Mwoyo wa Katonda omulamu, si ku bipande eby’amayinja naye ku bipande by’emitima egy’omubiri.
For you are plainly declared Christ's letter, ministered by us, written, not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on fleshly tables of the heart.
4 Obwo bwe bwesige bwe tulina eri Katonda nga tuyita mu Kristo.
Now we have such confidence through Christ, toward God;
5 Si lwa kubanga obwesige obwo buva mu ffe ku lwaffe, naye obwesige bwaffe buva eri Katonda,
not that we are competent by ourselves to reckon anything as from ourselves: but our competency is from God,
6 oyo ye yatusaanyiza okuba abaweereza b’endagaano empya etali ya nnukuta wabula ey’omwoyo. Kubanga ennukuta etta, naye omwoyo aleeta obulamu.
who has made us competent ministers of a new institution; not of letter, but of spirit: for the letter kills; but the spirit makes alive.
7 Kale obanga obuweereza bw’amateeka agaleeta okufa agaayolebwa ku mayinja bwaleetebwa n’ekitiibwa kingi, eri abaana ba Isirayiri, abantu ne batasobola na kutunula mu maaso ga Musa, olw’ekitiibwa ekyali kiva ku maaso ge, ekyali kigenda okuggwaako,
For if the ministration of death in letters engraved on stone was with glory, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face, which was to be abolished;
8 kale obuweereza obw’omwoyo tebulisinga nnyo okuba obw’ekitiibwa?
how much rather shall not the ministration of the Spirit be with glory?
9 Kuba obanga obuweereza bw’okusalirwa omusango bwa kitiibwa, obuweereza bw’obutuukirivu businga nnyo ekitiibwa.
For if the ministration of condemnation was glorious, much more does the ministration of justification abound in glory.
10 Kubanga ekyaweebwa ekitiibwa tekyakiweebwa mu kigambo kino.
For, indeed, that which was glorified, was not glorified, in this respect, by reason of the transcendent glory.
11 Kale obanga ekyo ekiggwaawo kaakano kyajja n’ekitiibwa, ekyo ekitaggwaawo kisinga nnyo ekitiibwa kya kiri ekyasooka.
For if that which is abolished was with glory, much more that which continues, is with glory.
12 Olw’okuba n’essuubi eringi bwe lityo, kyetuva tuweereza n’obuvumu bungi,
Having, therefore, such confidence, we use great plainness of speech;
13 so si nga Musa eyeebikkanga ku maaso ge, abaana ba Isirayiri baleme okulaba ekitiibwa bwe kiggwaako.
and not as Moses, who put a vail upon his face, that the children of Israel might not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished.
14 Naye ebirowoozo byabwe byakkakkanyizibwa kubanga n’okutuusa leero ekibikka ku maaso ekyo kikyali kye kimu kye beebikkanga nga basoma endagaano enkadde, kye bakyebikako nga bagisoma, tekyababikkulirwa, kubanga kiggyibwawo mu Kristo.
Indeed, their minds were blinded: for, till this day, the same vail remains in the reading of the Old Institution; it not being discovered that it is abolished in Christ.
15 Naye n’okutuusa leero, Musa bye yawandiika bwe bisomebwa, emitima gyabwe giba gibikiddwako essuuka.
Moreover, till this day, when Moses is read, the vail lies upon their heart.
16 Naye buli muntu akyuka n’adda eri Mukama, abikkulwako essuuka eyo.
But when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken from around it.
17 Kale nno Mukama ye Mwoyo, era buli Omwoyo wa Mukama w’abeera, wabaawo eddembe.
Now, the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18 Kaakano ffe ffenna, amaaso gaffe nga gabikuddwa, ekitiibwa kya Katonda kyakaayakana mu ffe ng’endabirwamu emulisa ekitiibwa kye ne tukyusiibwa okumufaanana okuva mu kitiibwa okutuuka mu kitiibwa, ekiva eri Mukama waffe, Mwoyo.
And we all, with unvailed face, beholding, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord; are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Lord, the Spirit.
