< 2 Abakkolinso 12 >

1 Kiŋŋwanidde okwenyumiriza, newaakubadde nga tekugasa. Naye ka njogere ku kwolesebwa n’okubikkulirwa kwa Mukama waffe.
It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast, but I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
2 Waliwo omusajja wa Kristo gwe mmanyi, emyaka kkumi n’ena egiyise yatwalibwa mu ggulu eryokusatu. Naye oba yatwalibwa ng’ali mu mubiri, oba nga tali mu mubiri, nange simanyi, wabula Katonda ye amanyi.
I know a man in Christ who was caught up into the third heaven fourteen years ago—whether in the body, I do not know, or whether out of the body, I do not know; God knows.
3 Era mmanyi ng’omuntu oyo, oba mu mubiri oba ng’aggiddwa mu mubiri nange simanyi, wabula Katonda ye amanyi,
I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I do not know; God knows),
4 nga yatwalibwa mu nnimiro lwa Katonda n’awulira ebintu bingi eby’ekyewuunyo omuntu by’atakkirizibwa kwatula.
how he was caught up into Paradise and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5 Ku bw’omuntu oyo nzija kwenyumiriza naye ku bwange siryenyumiriza, okuggyako mu bunafu bwange.
On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.
6 Naye ne bwe nandiyagadde okwenyumiriza, sandibadde musirusiru kubanga nandibadde njogera mazima, naye saagala muntu yenna andowoozeeko nti ndi wa waggulu nnyo okusinga we yandintadde ng’asinziira ku ebyo by’andabamu oba by’ampulirako,
For if I would desire to boast, I will not be foolish; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, so that no man may think more of me than that which he sees in me or hears from me.
7 okusingira ddala okubikkulirwa kwe nafuna. Noolwekyo olw’obutagulumizibwa nnyo, kyenava nfumitibwa eriggwa mu mubiri, ye mubaka wa Setaani, ankube nneme okugulumizibwa ennyo.
By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, a thorn in the flesh was given to me: a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively.
8 Emirundi esatu egy’enjawulo nga nsaba Mukama amponye eriggwa eryo.
Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
9 Buli mulundi ng’aŋŋamba nti, “Ekisa kyange kikumala, kubanga amaanyi gange gatuukirira mu bunafu.” Noolwekyo kyennaavanga nneegulumiza n’essanyu lingi olw’obunafu bwange, amaanyi ga Kristo galyoke galabisibwe.
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
10 Kyenva nsanyukira mu bunafu, mu kuvumibwa, mu bizibu, mu kuyigganyizibwa, mu binzitoowerera, ku lwa Kristo, kubanga buli bwe mba omunafu, olwo nga ndi wa maanyi.
Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
11 Naye mwampaliriza okufuuka omusirusiru. Noolwekyo mmwe musaana okunjogerako kubanga abatume abakulu abawagulu tebalina na kimu kye bansinza, newaakubadde nga nze siri kintu.
I have become foolish in boasting. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you, for I am in no way inferior to the very best apostles, though I am nothing.
12 Eky’amazima obubonero obw’omutume bwakolerwa mu mmwe mu kugumiikiriza kwonna, mu bubonero ne mu byewuunyo, ne mu bikolwa eby’amaanyi.
Truly the signs of an apostle were worked among you in all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty works.
13 Kubanga kiki ekkanisa endala kye zaabasingira, wabula nze kennyini obutabazitoowereranga. Munsonyiwe ekyonoono ekyo.
For what is there in which you were made inferior to the rest of the assemblies, unless it is that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong!
14 Laba guno mulundi gwa kusatu nga nneeteeseteese okujja gye muli, era sijja kubazitoowerera, kubanga ebyammwe si bye njagala, wabula njagala mmwe. N’ekirala, mmwe muli baana bange; abaana si be baterekera bazadde baabwe eby’obugagga, wabula abazadde be baterekera abaana baabwe.
Behold, this is the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I seek not your possessions, but you. For the children ought not to save up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
15 Naye nzija kusanyuka nnyo okwewaayo gye muli, nze ne byonna bye nnina olw’emyoyo gyammwe, newaakubadde nga nze gye nkoma okubaagala ennyo, ate mmwe okwagala kwammwe gye ndi gye kukoma okukendeera.
I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?
16 Naye mukkirize nti ssabazitoowerera; naye ne ngerengetanya ne mbatega mu lukwe.
Even so, I myself did not burden you. But you might say that being crafty, I caught you with deception.
17 Mu abo be nabatumira, ani gwe nakozesa okubafunamu amagoba?
Did I take advantage of you by anyone of those whom I have sent to you?
18 Nakuutira Tito okujja, ne ntuma n’owooluganda omulala awamu naye; Tito yeeyabafunako amagoba? Tetwatambulira mu mwoyo gumu? Tetwatambulira mu kisinde kimu?
I exhorted Titus, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? Did not we walk in the same spirit? Did not we walk in the same steps?
19 Obw’edda mwalowooza nga mwetoowaza mu maaso ga Katonda. Naye abaagalwa ebintu byonna tubyogerera mu Kristo olw’okubazimba.
Again, do you think that we are excusing ourselves to you? In the sight of God we speak in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.
20 Kubanga kye ntya oboolyawo kwe kubasanga nga mufaanana nga bwe ssaagala, nange mmwe okunsanga nga nfaanana nga bwe mutayagala; oboolyawo nga waliwo okuyomba, n’obuggya, n’obusungu, n’okwawukana, n’okugeyaŋŋana, n’olugambo, n’okwekuluntaza, n’okutabukatabuka;
For I am afraid that perhaps when I come, I might find you not the way I want to, and that I might be found by you as you do not desire, that perhaps there would be strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, whisperings, proud thoughts, or riots,
21 bwe ndijja nate, Katonda wange aleme kuntoowaza mu maaso gammwe, ne nkaabira abo bonna abaayonoona edda, ne bateenenya obutali bulongoofu, n’obwenzi, n’obugwagwa bye baakola.
that again when I come my God would humble me before you, and I would mourn for many of those who have sinned before now, and not repented of the uncleanness, sexual immorality, and lustfulness which they committed.
