< 1 Basessaloniika 3 >
1 Oluvannyuma nga tetukyayinza kugumiikiriza ne tusalawo okusigala ffekka mu Asene.
Wherefore, being no longer able to refrain ourselves, we thought good to be left alone in Athens,
2 Ne tutuma Timoseewo, muganda waffe era muweereza munnaffe mu mulimu gwa Katonda, mu Njiri ya Kristo, abagumye era abanyweze mu kukkiriza kwammwe,
and sent Timotheus, our brother and fellow-workman under God in the glad tidings of Christ, to confirm you and encourage [you] concerning your faith,
3 waleme okubaawo n’omu aterebuka olw’okuyigganyizibwa kwe mwalimu. Mmwe mwennyini mumanyi nti ekyo kye twayitirwa.
that no one might be moved by these afflictions. (For yourselves know that we are set for this;
4 Kubanga ne bwe twali tukyali nammwe twabategeeza nti tuli baakuyigganyizibwa era bwe kyali bwe kityo era mukimanyi.
for also, when we were with you, we told you beforehand we are about to be in tribulation, even as also it came to pass, and ye know.)
5 Ssaayinza kwongera kugumiikiriza kyennava ntuma Timoseewo ajje alabe obanga okukkiriza kwammwe kukyali kunywevu, si kulwa nga mukemebwa omukemi, ne tuba nga twateganira bwereere.
For this reason I also, no longer able to refrain myself, sent to know your faith, lest perhaps the tempter had tempted you and our labour should be come to nothing.
6 Naye kaakano Timoseewo bw’akomyewo ng’ava gye muli atuleetedde amawulire amalungi ag’okukkiriza kwammwe n’okwagala kwammwe, era nga mutujjukira bulungi bulijjo, nga mwesunga okutulabako nga naffe bwe twesunga okubalabako.
But Timotheus having just come to us from you, and brought to us the glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have always good remembrance of us, desiring much to see us, even as we also you;
7 Noolwekyo abaagalwa, newaakubadde nga tuli mu buzibu ne mu kubonaabona, okukkiriza kwammwe kutuzaamu amaanyi.
for this reason we have been comforted in you, brethren, in all our distress and tribulation, through your faith,
8 Kubanga bwe muba abanywevu mu Mukama waffe, naffe tuba balamu.
because now we live if ye stand firm in [the] Lord.
9 Kale Katonda tumwebaze tutya olw’essanyu eritujjudde ku lwammwe olw’essanyu lye tulina ku lwammwe mu maaso ga Katonda waffe?
For what thanksgiving can we render to God for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoice on account of you before our God,
10 Katonda tumwegayirira nnyo nnyini emisana n’ekiro, atukkirize okubalabako tujjuulirize ebyo ebikyabulako mu kukkiriza kwammwe.
night and day beseeching exceedingly to the end that we may see your face, and perfect what is lacking in your faith?
11 Katonda Kitaffe yennyini ne Mukama waffe Yesu aluŋŋamye ekkubo lyaffe okujja gye muli.
But our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you.
12 Mukama waffe aboongereko okwagala kwammwe, mwagalanenga mwekka na mwekka era mwagalenga nnyo abantu bonna, nga naffe bwe tubaagala,
But you, may the Lord make to exceed and abound in love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also towards you,
13 alyoke anyweze emitima gyammwe nga temuliiko kya kunenyezebwa mu butukuvu mu maaso ga Katonda Kitaffe, Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo bw’alikomawo n’abatukuvu be bonna.
in order to the confirming of your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
