1 Kabaka Sulemaani n’aba kabaka wa Isirayiri yonna.
And king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 Era bano be baali abakungu be: Azaliya muzzukulu wa Zadooki, yali kabona,
And these were the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;
3 Erikolefu ne Akiya, batabani ba Sisa, baali bawandiisi, Yekosafaati mutabani wa Akirudi, yali mujjukiza,
Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;

and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
5 Azaliya mutabani wa Nasani, yali mukulu w’abaami, Zabudi mutabani wa Nasani, yali kabona ate nga ye muwi wa magezi wa kabaka omukulu,
and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, [and] the king’s friend;
6 Akisaali, yali ssabakaaki wa kabaka; ne Adoniraamu mutabani wa Abuda, yali mukulu w’abaddu.
and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to taskwork.
7 Sulemaani yalina abakungu kkumi na babiri abaakuliranga Isirayiri yonna, era baavunaanyizibwanga ebyokulya bya kabaka n’ab’omu nnyumba ye. Buli omu kyamugwaniranga okusolooza ebyokulya okumala omwezi gumu buli mwaka.
And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided victuals for the king and his household: each man had to make provision for a month in the year.
8 Era gano ge mannya gaabwe: Benikuli, mu nsi ey’ensozi eya Efulayimu;
And these are their names: Ben-hur, in the hill-country of Ephraim;
9 Benidekeri, mu Makazi, mu Saalubimu, mu Besusemesi, ne mu Eroni Besukanani;
Ben-deker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan;
10 Benikesedi, mu Alubbosi, Soko n’ensi yonna ey’e Kefera yali yiye;
Ben-hesed, in Arubboth (to him [pertained] Socoh, and all the land of Hepher);
11 Beniyabinadabu eyali awasizza Tafasi muwala wa Sulemaani, mu kifo kyonna ekigulumivu eky’e Doli;
Ben-abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife);
12 Baana mutabani wa Akirudi, mu Taanaki ne Megiddo, ne mu Besuseyani yonna ekiriraanye Zalesani wansi w’e Yezuleeri, okuva ku Besuseyani okutuuka ku Aberumekola okuyita ku Yokumyamu;
Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;
13 Benigeberi, mu Lamosugireyaadi, ebibuga bya Yayiri mutabani wa Manase mu Gireyaadi byali bibye, era n’essaza Alugobu eriri mu Basani n’ebibuga byayo enkaaga ebyalina bbugwe ne wankaaki ow’ekikomo;
Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (to him [pertained] the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; [even] to him [pertained] the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars);
14 Akinadaabu mutabani wa Iddo, mu Makanayimu;
Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
15 Akimaazi eyali awasizza Basemesi muwala wa Sulemaani, mu Nafutaali,
Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon to wife);
16 Baana mutabani wa Kusaayi, mu Aseri ne mu Beyaloosi;
Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;
17 Yekosafaati mutabani wa Paluwa, mu Isakaali;
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
18 Simeeyi mutabani wa Era, mu Benyamini;
Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
19 Geberi mutabani wa Uli, mu Gireyaadi, ensi ya Sikoni kabaka w’Abamoli, n’ensi ya Ogi kabaka w’e Basani. Ye yali omwami yekka akulira essaza.
Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and [he was] the only officer that was in the land.
20 Abantu ba Yuda ne Isirayiri baali bangi nga bali ng’omusenyu ku lubalama lw’ennyanja, era baalyanga, ne banywanga nga basanyuka.
Judah and Israel were many as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
21 Sulemaani n’afuga obwakabaka bwonna okuva ku Mugga Fulaati okutuuka ku nsi ey’Abafirisuuti n’okutuuka ku nsalo ey’e Misiri, era baamuleeteranga ebirabo, era ne bamuweerezanga ennaku zonna ez’obulamu bwe.
And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 Bye baasoloolezanga Sulemaani ebya buli lunaku byali ebigero by’obutta obulungi kilo mukaaga n’obutundu mukaaga, n’ebigero eby’obutta obutaali buse, kilo kumi na ssatu n’obutundu bubiri;
And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 ente eza ssava kkumi, n’ente ezaavanga mu ddundiro amakumi abiri, wamu n’endiga kikumi, n’enjaza, n’empeewo, n’ennangaazi, n’enkoko ze baalondangamu.
ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and gazelles, and roebucks, and fatted fowl.
24 Yafuganga ensi yonna eri emitala w’Omugga Fulaati, okuva e Tifusa okutuuka e Gaaza, era yalina emirembe enjuuyi zonna okumwetooloola.
For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 Mu mirembe gya Sulemaani, Yuda ne Isirayiri yonna, okuva e Ddaani okutuuka e Beeruseba buli muntu yalina emirembe, era ng’alina ennimiro ye ey’emizabbibu n’ey’emitiini.
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 Sulemaani yalina ebisibo by’embalaasi ezisika amagaali enkumi nnya, n’abasajja abeebagala embalaasi omutwalo gumu mu enkumi bbiri.
And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 Abaami ba masaza, buli mwezi baalabiriranga Kabaka Sulemaani wamu n’abaatuulanga ku mmeeza ye, nga bamuweereza ebyokulya.
And those officers provided victuals for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking.
28 Era baaleetanga sayiri n’essubi olw’embalaasi ez’embiro n’embalaasi endala, buli muntu ng’omulimu gwe bwe gwali gwe yalagirwa.
Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds brought they unto the place where [the officers] were, every man according to his charge.
29 Katonda n’awa Sulemaani amagezi n’okutegeera kungi nnyo n’obugunjufu bungi, ng’omusenyu oguli ku mabbali g’ennyanja.
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore.
30 Amagezi ga Sulemaani gaali mangi nnyo okukira ag’abasajja bonna ab’ebuvanjuba, ate n’okusinga ago ag’e Misiri.
And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 Yali mugezi okukira abantu bonna, era n’okukira Esani Omwezulaki, ne Kemani, ne Kalukoli ne Daluda batabani ba Makoli, era erinnya lye ne lyatiikirira mu mawanga gonna ageetoolodde.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations round about.
32 Yagera engero enkumi ssatu, n’ennyimba ze zaali lukumi mu ttaano.
And he spake three thousand proverbs; and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 Yayogera ku bulamu bwe bimera, okuva ku muvule gwa Lebanooni okutuuka ku ezobu amera ku bbugwe. Ate era yayogera ne ku nsolo n’ennyonyi, n’ebyewalula n’ebyennyanja.
And he spake of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spake also of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 Era abantu bangi okuva mu mawanga gonna ne bajjanga okuwuliriza amagezi ga Sulemaani, nga batumiddwa bakabaka okuva mu nsi yonna, abaali bawulidde ku magezi ge.
And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
