1 Abooluganda, ssaagala mmwe obutategeera ebikwata ku birabo ebya Mwoyo.
About spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.
2 Mumanyi nti bwe mwali Abaamawanga mwabuzibwabuzibwanga ne mutwalibwa eri ebifaananyi ebitayogera.
You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to idols who could not speak, in whatever ways you were led by them.
3 Noolwekyo njagala mutegeere nti tewali muntu aba ne Mwoyo wa Katonda n’ayogera nti, “Yesu akolimirwe.” Era tewali n’omu asobola okwogera nti, “Yesu ye Mukama waffe,” wabula ku bwa Mwoyo Mutukuvu.
Therefore I want you to know that no one who speaks by the Spirit of God can say, “Jesus is accursed.” No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 Waliwo ebirabo bya ngeri nnyingi, naye Mwoyo abigaba y’omu.
Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 Waliwo engeri nnyingi ez’okuweererezaamu, naye Mukama aweerezebwa y’omu.
There are different ministries, but the same Lord;
6 Waliwo okukola kwa ngeri nnyingi kyokka Katonda asobozesa bonna mu byonna bye bakola y’omu.
and there are different kinds of work, but it is the same God who makes them possible in everyone.
7 Mwoyo Mutukuvu yeeragira mu buli omu olw’okugasa bonna.
Now to each one is given the outward display of the Spirit for the benefit of all.
8 Omu Omwoyo amuwa okwogera ekigambo eky’amagezi, omulala Omwoyo oyo omu n’amuwa okuyiga n’ategeera.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.
9 Omulala Omwoyo y’omu n’amuwa okukkiriza, n’omulala n’amuwa obuyinza okuwonyanga abalwadde.
To another is given faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit.
10 Omu, Omwoyo amuwa okukolanga ebyamagero, n’omulala n’amuwa okwogera eby’obunnabbi, ate omulala n’amuwa okwawulanga emyoyo emirungi n’emibi. Omulala amuwa okwogera ennimi ezitali zimu, n’omulala n’amuwa okuzivvuunula.
To another is given deeds of power, and to another prophecy. To another is given the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 Naye Omwoyo akola ebyo byonna y’omu, y’agabira buli muntu ng’Omwoyo oyo bw’ayagala.
All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, giving the gifts to each one individually, as he chooses.
12 Kuba omubiri nga bwe guli ogumu, ne guba n’ebitundu bingi, ate ebitundu byonna ne byegatta ne biba omubiri gumu, kale, ne Kristo bw’ali bw’atyo.
For as the body is one and has many members and all are members of the same body, so it is with Christ.
13 Bwe tutyo ffenna twabatizibwa mu Mwoyo omu, ne tufuuka omubiri gumu, oba Bayudaaya, oba baamawanga, oba baddu, oba ba ddembe, era ne tunywa ku Mwoyo oyo omu.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bound or free, and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
14 Kubanga omubiri tegulina kitundu kimu, naye gulina ebitundu bingi.
For the body is not a single member, but many.
15 Singa ekigere kigamba nti, “Nze siri mukono, noolwekyo siri kitundu kya mubiri,” ekyo tekikifuula butaba kitundu kya mubiri.
If the foot says, “Since I am not the hand, I am not part of the body,” it is not any less a part of the body.
16 Era singa okutu kugamba nti, “Siri liiso, noolwekyo siri kitundu kya mubiri,” ekyo kikiggyako okubeera ekitundu ky’omubiri?
And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it is not any less a part of the body.
17 Kale singa omubiri gwonna gwali liiso, olwo okuwulira kwandibadde wa? Era singa omubiri gwonna gwali kutu, olwo okuwunyiriza kwandibadde wa?
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
18 Naye kaakano Katonda yakola ebitundu bingi eby’enjawulo n’alyoka abifuula omubiri gwaffe nga bwe yayagala.
But God arranged each part of the body as he designed it.
19 Singa byonna byali ekitundu kimu olwo omubiri gwandibadde wa?
If they were all the same member, where would the body be?
20 Naye kaakano ebitundu bingi naye ng’omubiri guli gumu.
So now they are many members, but only one body.
21 Eriiso terisobola kugamba mukono nti, “Ggwe sikwetaaga,” oba n’omutwe teguyinza kugamba bigere nti, “Mmwe sibeetaaga.”
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you.” Nor does the head say to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
22 Era ebitundu ebyo eby’omubiri ebirabika ng’ebisinga obunafu bye byetaagibwa ennyo.
But the members of the body that appear to be weaker are essential,
23 Era n’ebitundu ebyo eby’omubiri bye tulowooza obutaba bya kitiibwa bye bisinga okwambazibwa, n’ebitundu ebitukwasa ensonyi bye tusinga okulabirira,
and the parts of the body that we think are less honorable, we give them greater honor, and our unpresentable members have more dignity.
24 so ng’ebitundu byaffe ebisinga okwolekebwa mu bantu tebikyetaaga. Bw’atyo Katonda bwe yakola omubiri, ebitundu ebyandibadde biragajjalirwa n’abyongera ekitiibwa,
Now our presentable members have no need to be treated with dignity, for they already have dignity. But God has joined all the members together, and he gave more honor to those that lacked it.
25 olwo omubiri ne guteeyawulamu naye ebitundu byonna, ne biyambagana byokka ne byokka.
He did this so there may be no division within the body, but that the members should care for one another with the same affection.
26 Ekitundu ekimu bwe kirumwa, ebitundu ebirala byonna birumirwa. Era ekitundu ekimu bwe kigulumizibwa, ebitundu byonna bijaguliza wamu nakyo.
So when one member suffers, all the members suffer together; or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice together.
27 Kale mwenna awamu muli mubiri gwa Kristo, era buli omu ku mmwe kitundu kyagwo.
Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
28 Era abamu Katonda yabateekawo mu kkanisa: abasooka be batume, abookubiri be bannabbi, n’abookusatu be bayigiriza, ne kuddako abakola eby’amagero, ne kuddako abalina ebirabo eby’okuwonya endwadde, n’okuyamba abali mu kwetaaga, abakulembeze, era n’aboogezi b’ennimi.
And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then those who do powerful deeds, then gifts of healing, those who provide helps, those who do the work of administration, and those who have various kinds of tongues.
29 Bonna batume? Bonna bannabbi? Bonna bayigiriza? Bonna bakola ebyamagero?
Are all of them apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do powerful deeds?
30 Bonna balina ekirabo ky’okuwonya endwadde? Bonna boogera mu nnimi? Bonna bavvuunula ennimi?
Do all of them have gifts of healing? Do all of them speak with tongues? Do all of them interpret tongues?
31 Kale mwegombenga ebirabo ebisinga obukulu, naye ka mbalage ekkubo eddungi erisinga gonna.
Zealously seek the greater gifts. But I will show you a more excellent way.
