The sons of Levi were Gerson, Caath, and Merari.

The sons of Caath: Amram, Isaar, Hebron, and Oziel.

3 Ate abaana ba Amulaamu baali Alooni, ne Musa ne Miryamu. Batabani ba Alooni baali Nadabu, ne Abiku, ne Eriyazaali ne Isamaali.

The children of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Mary. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abiu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

4 Eriyazaali n’azaala Finekaasi, ate Finekaasi n’azaala Abisuwa;

Eleazar beget Phinees, and Phinees beget Abisue,

5 Abisuwa n’azaala Bukki, ate Bukki n’azaala Uzzi;

And Abisue beget Bocci, and Bocci begot Ozi.

6 Uzzi n’azaala Zerakiya, ne Zerakiya n’azaala Merayoosi;

Ozi beget Zaraias, and Zaraias beget Maraioth.

7 Merayoosi n’azaala Amaliya, ne Amaliya n’azaala Akitubu;

And Maraioth beget Amarias, and Amarias beget Achitob.

8 Akitubu n’azaala Zadooki, ate Zadooki n’azaala Akimaazi;

Achitob beget Sadoc, and Sadoc begot Achimaas.

9 Akimaazi n’azaala Azaliya, ne Azaliya n’azaala Yokanaani;

Achimaas beget Azarias, Azarias begot Johanan,

Johanan beget Azarias. This is he that executed the priestly office in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem.

And Azarias beget Amarias, and Amarias beget Achitob.

12 Akitubu n’azaala Zadooki, ne Zadooki n’azaala Sallumu;

And Achitob beget Sadoc, and Sadoc beget Sellum,

13 Sallumu n’azaala Kirukiya, ne Kirukiya n’azaala Azaliya;

Sellum beget Helcias, and Helcias beget Azarias,

14 Azaliya n’azaala Seraya, ne Seraya n’azaala Yekozadaki;

Azarias beget Saraias, and Saraias beget Josedec.

15 Yekozadaki yatwalibwa mu buwaŋŋanguse Mukama bwe yawaayo Yuda ne Yerusaalemi mu mukono gwa Nebukadduneeza.

Now Josedec went out, when the Lord carried away Juda, and Jerusalem, by the hands of Nabuchodonosor.

16 Batabani ba Leevi baali Gerusomu, ne Kokasi ne Merali.

So the sons of Levi were Gerson, Caath, and Merari.

17 Gano ge mannya g’abatabani ba Gerusomu, ne Libuni ne Simeeyi.

And these are the names of the sons of Gerson: Lobni and Semei.

18 Batabani ba Kokasi baali Amulaamu, ne Izukali, ne Kebbulooni ne Wuziyeeri.

The sons of Caath: Amram, and Isaar, and Hebron, and Oziel.

19 Batabani ba Merali baali Makuli ne Musi. Gino gy’emituba egy’Abaleevi okutandika ne bajjajja baabwe:

The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi. And these are the kindreds of Levi according to their families.

20 Abaava mu Gerusomu baali Libuni mutabani we, ne Yakasi, ne Zimura,

Of Gerson: Lobni his son, Jahath his son, Zamma his son,

21 ne Yowa, ne Iddo, ne Zeera, ne Yeyaserayi.

Joah his son, Addo his son, Zara his son, Jethrai his son.

22 Bazzukulu ba Kokasi baali Amminadaabu mutabani we, Koola muzzukulu we, Assiri muzzukulu we;

The sons of Caath, Aminadab his son, Core his son, Asir his son,

23 Erukaana muzzukulu we, Ebiyasaafu muzzukulu we, Assiri muzzukulu we;

Elcana his son, Abiasaph his son, Asir his son,

24 Takasi muzzukulu we, Uliyeri muzzukulu we, Uzziya muzzukulu we, ne Sawuli muzzukulu we.

Thahath his son, Uriel his son, Ozias his son, Saul his son.

25 Batabani ba Erukaana baali Amasayi ne Akimosi,

The sons of Elcana: Amasai, and Achimoth.

And Elcana. The sons of Elcana: Sophai his son, Nahath his son,

27 ne Eriyaabu, ne Yerokamu, ne Erukaana ne Samwiri.

Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elcana his son.

28 Batabani ba Samwiri baali Yoweeri omuggulanda we, n’owokubiri nga ye Abiya.

The sons of Samuel: the firstborn Vasseni, and Abia.

29 Bazzukulu ba Merali baali Makuli, ne Libuni, ne Simeeyi, ne Uzza,

And the sons of Merari, Moholi: Lobni his son, Semei his son, Oza his son,

30 ne Simeeyi, ne Kaggiya ne Asaya, ng’omu ye kitaawe w’omulala nga bwe baddiriŋŋana.

Sammaa his son, Haggia his son, Asaia his son.

31 Bano be basajja Dawudi be yalonda okukulira eby’ennyimba mu nnyumba ya Mukama, essanduuko ng’eteekeddwamu.

These are they, whom David set over the singing men of the house of the Lord, after that the ark was placed:

And they ministered before the tabernacle of the testimony, with singing, until Solomon built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they stood according to their order in the ministry.

The son of Elcana, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Thohu,

The son of Suph, the son of Elcana, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

36 muzzukulu wa Erukaana, muzzukulu wa Yoweeri, muzzukulu wa Azaliya, muzzukulu wa Zeffaniya,

The son of Elcana, the son of Johel, the son of Azarias, the son of Sophonias,

37 muzzukulu wa Takasi, muzzukulu wa Assiri, muzzukulu wa Ebiyasaafu, muzzukulu wa Koola,

The son of Thahath, the son of Asir, the son or Abiasaph, the son of Core,

38 muzzukulu wa Izukali, muzzukulu wa Kokasi, muzzukulu wa Leevi, mutabani wa Isirayiri.

The son of Isaar, the son of Caath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 Kemani yalina muganda we Asafu eyamuyambangako mu mulimu ogwo, era n’ab’enju ye baali bwe bati: Asafu mutabani wa Berekiya, muzzukulu wa Simeeyi,

And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, Asaph the son of Barachias, the son of Samaa.

40 muzzukulu wa Mikayiri, muzzukulu wa Baaseya, muzzukulu wa Malukiya,

The son of Michael, the son of Basaia, the son of Melchia.

The son of Ethan, the son of Zamma, the son of Semei.

43 muzzukulu wa Yakasi, muzzukulu wa Gerusoni, mutabani wa Leevi.

The son of Jeth, the son of Gerson, the son of Levi.

44 Ne baganda be abalala abaamuyambangako baali abazzukulu ba Merali, mutabani wa Leevi, Esani mutabani wa Kiisi, muzzukulu wa Abudi, muzzukulu wa Malluki,

And the sons of Merari their brethren, on the left hand, Ethan the son of Cusi, the son of Abdi, the son of Meloch,

45 muzzukulu wa Kasukabiya, muzzukulu wa Amaziya, muzzukulu wa Kirukiya, muzzukulu wa Amaziya,

The son of Hasabia, the son of Amasai, the son of Helcias,

46 muzzukulu wa Amuzi, muzzukulu wa Bani, muzzukulu wa Semeri,

The son of Amasai, the son of Boni, the son of Somer,

47 muzzukulu wa Makuli, muzzukulu wa Musi, muzzukulu wa Merali, mutabani wa Leevi.

The son of Moholi, the son of Mud, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

Their brethren also the Levites, who were appointed for all the ministry of the tabernacle of the house of the Lord.

But Aaron and his sons offered burnt offerings upon the altar of holocausts, and upon the altar of incense, for very work of the holy of holies: and to pray for Israel according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinees his son, Abisue his son,

51 muzzukulu we Bukki, muzzukulu we Uzzi, muzzukulu we Zerakiya,

Bocci his son, Ozi his son, Zarahia his son,

52 muzzukulu we Merayoosi, muzzukulu we Amaliya, muzzukulu we Akitubu,

Meraioth his son, Amarias his son, Achitob his son,

53 muzzukulu we Zadooki, ne muzzukulu we Akimaazi.

Sadoc his son, Achimaas his son.

And these are their dwelling places by the towns and confines, to wit, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Caathites: for they fell to them by lot.

And they gave them Hebron in the land of Juda, and the suburbs thereof round about:

But the fields of the city, and the villages to Caleb son of Jephone.

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities for refuge Hebron, and Lobna, and the suburbs thereof,

58 Kireni n’amalundiro gaakyo, Debiri n’amalundiro gaakyo,

And Jether and Esthemo, with their suburbs, and Helon, and Dabir with their suburbs:

59 Asani n’amalundiro gaakyo, ne Besusemesi n’amalundiro gaakyo.

Asan also, and Bethsames, with their suburbs.

60 Ate n’okuva eri ekika kya Benyamini baaweebwa Gibyoni ne Geba, ne Allemesi, ne Anasosi wamu n’amalundiro gaabyo. Ebibuga byonna awamu ebyaweebwa Abakokasi byali kkumi na bisatu.

And out of the tribe of Benjamin: Gabee and its suburbs, Almath with its suburbs, Anathoth also with its suburbs: all their cities throughout their families were thirteen.

61 Bazzukulu ba Kokasi abalala baweebwa ebibuga kkumi okuva ku nda ez’ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase nga bakuba akalulu.

And to the sons of Caath that remained of their kindred they gave out of the half tribe of Manasses ten cities in possession.

62 Bazzukulu ba Gerusoni, ng’enda zaabwe bwe zaali, baaweebwa ebibuga kkumi na bisatu okuva ku bika bya Isakaali, Aseri, Nafutaali, n’okuva ku kika kya Manase mu Basani.

And to the sons of Gerson by their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Aser, and out of the tribe of Nephtali, and out of the tribe of Manasses in Basan, thirteen cities.

63 Bazzukulu ba Merali ng’enda zaabwe bwe zaali, baaweebwa ebibuga kkumi na bibiri okuva ku bika bya Lewubeeni, Gaadi ne Zebbulooni.

And to the sons of Merari by their families out of the tribe of Ruben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zabulon, they gave by lot twelve cities.

64 Awo Abayisirayiri ne bawa Abaleevi ebibuga ebyo ne babaweerako n’amalundiro byabyo.

And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities, and their suburbs.

65 N’ebibuga okuva mu bika bya Yuda, ne Simyoni ne Benyamini ebyogeddwako byabaweebwa nga bakuba akalulu.

And they gave them by lot, out of the tribe of the sons of Juda, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which they called by their names.

66 Enda ezimu eza Kokasi zaaweebwa ebibuga okuva eri ensi y’ekika kya Efulayimu.

And to them that were of the kindred of the sons of Caath, and the cities in their borders were of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 Okuva eri ensi ya Efulayimu baaweebwa Sekemu, ekibuga ky’obuddukiro, Gezeri,

And they gave the cities of refuge Sichem with its suburbs in mount Ephraim, and Gazer with its suburbs,

68 ne Yokumyamu, ne Besukolooni,

Jecmaan also with its suburbs, and Beth-horon in like manner,

69 ne Ayalooni ne Gasulimmoni, n’amalundiro gaabyo.

Helon also with its suburbs, and Gethremmon in like manner,

70 N’okuva eri ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase, Abayisirayiri ne babagabira Aneri ne Biryamu, wamu n’amalundiro byako eri enda ezaali zisigaddewo eza Kokasi.

And out of the half tribe of Manasses, Aner and its suburbs, Baalam and its suburbs: to wit, to them that were left of the family of the sons of Caath.

71 Abagerusomu baaweebwa ebifo bino wansi: okuva eri ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase baafuna Golani mu Basani ne Asutoleesi, wamu n’amalundiro byako.

And to the sons of Gersom, out of the kindred of the half tribe of Manasses, Gaulon, in Basan, and its suburbs, and Astharoth with its suburbs.

72 Okuva eri ekika kya Isakaali baafuna Kedesi, Daberasi

Out of the tribe of Issachar, Cedes and its suburbs, and Dabereth with its suburbs;

73 Lamosi ne Anemu wamu n’amalundiro gaabyo (byako);

Ramoth also and its suburbs, and Anem with its suburbs.

74 okuva eri ekika kya Aseri, baafuna Masali, Abudoni,

And out of the tribe of Aser: Masal with its suburbs, and Abdon in like manner;

75 Kukkoki ne Lekobu wamu n’amalundiro gaabyo;

Hucac also and its suburbs, and Rohol with its suburbs.

76 n’okuva eri ekika kya Nafutaali baafuna Kedesi eky’omu Ggaliraaya, ne Kammoni ne Kiriyasayimu wamu n’amalundiro byako.

And out of the tribe of Nephtali, Cedes in Galilee and its suburbs, Hamon with its suburbs, and Cariathaim, and its suburbs.

77 Abaleevi abaali basigaddewo, be bazzukulu ba Merali, baaweebwa ebifo bino wansi: okuva eri ekika kya Zebbulooni baafuna Limunono ne Taboli wamu n’amalundiro byabyo;

And to the sons of Merari that remained: out of the tribe of Zabulon, Remmono and its suburbs, and Thabor with its suburbs.

78 okuva eri ekika kya Lewubeeni, emitala wa Yoludaani ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba lw’e Yeriko, baafuna Bezeri ekiri mu ddungu, Yaza,

Beyond the Jordan also over against Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, out of the tribe of Ruben, Bosor in the wilderness with its suburbs, and Jassa with its suburbs;

79 Kedemosi ne Mefaasi wamu n’amalundiro byabyo;

Cademoth also and its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs;

80 n’okuva eri ekika kya Gaadi baafuna Lamosi ekiri mu Gireyaadi, Makanayimu,

Moreover also out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Galaad and its suburbs, and Manaim with its suburbs;

81 Kesuboni ne Yazeri wamu n’amalundiro byabyo.

Hesebon also with its suburbs, and Jazer with its suburbs.
