< 1 Ebyomumirembe 5 >
1 Batabani ba Lewubeeni, mutabani omukulu owa Isirayiri, ye yali omubereberye, naye nayonoona obufumbo bwa kitaawe, obusika bwe ng’omuggulanda ne buweebwa batabani ba Yusufu mutabani wa Isirayiri, kyeyava tabalirwa mu byafaayo ng’omubereberye.
And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for, he, was the firstborn, but because he defiled the couch of his father, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, —and he is not to be enrolled in the place of firstborn,
2 Yuda yali w’amaanyi okusinga baganda be, era mu ye mwe mwava kabaka ow’eggwanga lya Isirayiri, wabula ebyobusika eby’obuggulanda byali bya mutabani wa Yusufu omukulu.
for, Judah, prevailed over his brethren, so that, even the prince, is from him, —although, the birthright, pertaineth to Joseph;
3 Batabani ba Lewubeeni, mutabani omukulu owa Isirayiri baali: Kanoki, ne Palu, ne Kezulooni ne Kalumi.
the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
4 Ab’enda ya Yoweeri baali Semaaya mutabani we, ne Gogi muzzukulu we, ne Simeeyi muzzukulu we.
The sons of Joel, Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son;
5 Mikka yali mutabani wa Simeeyi, ne Leyaya n’aba muzzukulu we, ne Baali n’aba muzzukulu we.
Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son;
6 Mutabani wa Baali yali Beera, omukulu w’ekika ky’Abalewubeeni, Tirugazupiruneseri kabaka w’e Busuuli gwe yatwala mu buwaŋŋanguse.
Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive, —he, was a leader to the Reubenites;
7 Baganda be ng’enda zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: Yeyeri omukulu w’ekika, Zekkaliya,
and his brethren, by his families, in the genealogical registering, by their generations, —the chief Jeiel, and Zechariah;
8 Bera mutabani wa Azozi, muzzukulu wa Sema, muzzukulu wa Yoweeri. Be baasenga mu Aloweri okutuuka e Nebo ne Baalu Myoni.
and Bela, the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, —he, dwelt in Aroer, even as far as Nebo, and Baal-meon;
9 Ate baasenga n’ebuvanjuba w’eddungu okutuukira ddala ku mugga Fulaati, kubanga amagana gaabwe gaali gaaze nnyo.
and, eastward, dwelt he as far as the entering in of the desert, from the river Euphrates, —because, their cattle, were multiplied in the land of Gilead;
10 Awo ku mirembe gya Sawulo ne balumba Abakaguli, era Abakaguli ne bagwa mu mikono gyabwe, era bali ne beegazaanyiza mu nsi y’Abakaguli okutuukira ddala ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba olw’e Gireyaadi.
and, in the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand, —so they dwelt in their tents, over all the face of the land east of Gilead.
11 Bazzukulu ba Gaadi baabeeranga okuliraana Basani okwolekera Saleka.
And, the sons of Gad, over against them, dwelt, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:
12 Yoweeri ye yali omukulembeze, ne Safamu nga ye mumyuka we, ate ne wabaawo ne Yanayi ne Safati mu Basani.
Joel the chief, and Shapham, the second, —and Janai and Shaphat, in Bashan;
13 Baganda baabwe mu nda z’abajjajjaabwe bwe baali Mikayiri, ne Mesullamu, ne Seeba, ne Yolayi, ne Yakani, ne Ziya, ne Eberi, bonna awamu musanvu.
and their brethren of their ancestral house, Michael and Meshullam and Sheba and Jorai and Jacan and Zia and Eber, seven.
These, were the sons of Abihail, son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jehishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz,
15 Aki mutabani wa Abudyeri, muzzukulu wa Guni, omukulu w’ennyumba yaabwe.
Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, chief of their ancestral house;
16 Baabeeranga mu Gireyaadi, mu Basani, ne mu bibuga byayo ebirala ne mu malundiro g’e Saloni okutuuka ku nsalo yaayo.
and they dwelt in Gilead—in Bashan, and in her villages, —and in all the pasture-lands of Sharon, up to their outgoings.
17 Bino byonna byawandiikibwa mu bitabo ebyafaayo mu mirembe gya Yosamu kabaka wa Yuda, ne Yerobowaamu kabaka wa Isirayiri.
All of them, were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah, —and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 Abalewubeeni, n’Abagaadi, n’ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase baalina abasajja emitwalo ena mu enkumi nnya mu lusanvu mu nkaaga, ab’amaanyi era nga bazira mu kukwata engabo, ekitala, ne mu kukozesa obusaale, era nga batendeke mu kulwana.
the sons of Reuben and Gad, and half tribe of Manasseh, of the sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword and bending the bow, and instructed in war, were forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, ready to go forth in the host.
19 Ne balumba Abakaguli, ne Yetuli, ne Nafisi ne Nodabu.
So they made war with the Hagrites, —and Jetur and Naphish, and Nodab;
20 Olw’okwesiga n’okusaba Katonda okubabeera, baawangula Abakaguli mu lutalo.
and were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all that were with them were delivered into their hand, —for, unto God, made they outcry, in the war, and he suffered himself to be entreated by them, because they put their trust in him;
21 Baanyaga amagana g’ente, n’eŋŋamira emitwalo etaano, n’endiga emitwalo abiri mu etaano n’endogoyi enkumi bbiri ate ne bawamba n’abasajja emitwalo kkumi.
and they captured their cattle—their camels, fifty thousand, and, flocks, two hundred and fifty thousand, and, asses, two thousand, —and, persons of men, a hundred thousand;
22 Era bangi ku bo battibwa kubanga olutalo lwali lwa Katonda. Ne basenga eyo okutuusa lwe baawaŋŋangusibwa.
for, many slain, fell, for, of God, was the war, —and they dwelt in their stead, until the captivity.
23 Abantu ab’ekitundu ky’ekika kya Manase baali bangi nnyo, era baasenga mu nsi eya Basani okutuuka ku Baalukerumooni, ne Seniri, ne ku lusozi Kerumooni.
And, the sons of the half tribe of Manasseh, dwelt in the land, —from Bashan, as far as to Baal-hermon and Senir and Mount Hermon, they, were multiplied.
24 Bano be baali abakulu b’ennyumba zaabwe: Eferi, ne Isi, ne Eryeri, ne Azulyeri, ne Yeremiya, ne Kodaviya, ne Yakudyeri, abasajja abazira era ab’amaanyi, abettutumu, nga gy’emitwe gy’ennyumba zaabwe.
And, these, were the heads of their ancestral house, —Epher and Ishi and Eliel and Azriel and Jeremiah and Hodaviah and Jahdiel, men who were heroes of valour, men of renown, chiefs to their ancestral house.
25 Naye ne bakola ebibi ebimenya ebiragiro bya Katonda wa bajjajjaabwe, ne bagoberera bakatonda baamawanga ag’omu nsi eyo, Katonda be yazikiririza mu maaso gaabwe.
But they dealt unfaithfully with the God of their fathers, —and went unchastely after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed from before them;
26 Katonda wa Isirayiri kyeyava akubiriza omwoyo gwa Puli kabaka w’e Bwasuli, eyayitibwanga Tirugazupiruneseri, n’alumba Abalewubeeni, n’Abagaadi n’ekitundu ekyali kisigaddewo ku Manase, n’abawamba era n’abatwala mu buwaŋŋanguse e Kala, n’e Kaboli, n’e Kaala ne ku mugga Gozani, gye bali n’okutuusa leero.
so the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he took them away captive, even the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, —and brought them in unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
