These [are] sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2 ne Ddaani, ne Yusufu, ne Benyamini, ne Nafutaali, ne Gaadi ne Aseri.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 Batabani ba Yuda baali Eri, ne Onani ne Seera, era nnyabwe ye yali Basusuwa Omukanani. Eri, eyali mutabani wa Yuda omukulu n’akola ebibi mu maaso ga Mukama, era Mukama n’amutta.
Sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, three have been born to him of a daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, first-born of Judah, is evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and He putteth him to death.

And Tamar his daughter-in-law hath borne to him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah [are] five.

Sons of Pharez: Hezron, and Hamul.
6 Batabani ba Zeera baali Zimuli, ne Esani, ne Kemani, ne Kalukoli, ne Dala, bonna awamu bataano.
And sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; all of them five.

And sons of Carmi: Achar, troubler of Israel, who trespassed in the devoted thing.

And sons of Ethan: Azariah.
9 Batabani ba Kezulooni baali Yerameeri, ne Laamu ne Kerubayi.
And sons of Hezron who were born to him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
10 Laamu n’azaala Amminadaabu, Amminadaabu n’aba kitaawe n’azaala Nakusoni, eyali omukulu w’ekika kya Yuda.
And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah;
11 Nakusoni n’azaala Saluma, ne Saluma n’azaala Bowaazi,
and Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
12 Bowaazi ye n’azaala Obedi ate Obedi n’azaala Yese.
and Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse;

and Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,
14 Nesaneeri nga ye wookuna, Laddayi nga ye wookutaano,
Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15 Ozemu n’aba ow’omukaaga, Dawudi nga ye wa musanvu.
Ozem the sixth, David the seventh,
16 Bannyinaabwe be baali Zeruyiya ne Abbigayiri. Batabani ba Zeruyiya baali basatu nga be ba Abisaayi, Yowaabu ne Asakeri.
and their sisters Zeruiah and Abigail. And sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asah-El — three.
17 Abbigayiri yali nnyina wa Amasa, ne Amasa n’azaala Yeseri Omuyisimayiri.
And Abigail hath borne Amasa, and the father of Amasa [is] Jether the Ishmeelite.
18 Kalebu mutabani wa Kezulooni n’azaala abaana mu Azuba mukyala we ate era ne mu Yeriyoosi. Yeseri, ne Sobabu, ne Aludoni be baali abaana ba Azuba.
And Caleb son of Hezron hath begotten Azubah, Isshah, and Jerioth; and these [are] her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Azuba bwe yafa, Kalebu n’awasa Efulaasi, eyamuzaalira Kuuli.
And Azubah dieth, and Caleb taketh to him Ephrath, and she beareth to him Hur.
20 Kuuli n’azaala Uli, Uli n’azaala Bezaleeri.
And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.
21 Oluvannyuma Kezulooni, ne yeebaka ne muwala wa Makiri kitaawe wa Gireyaadi, gwe yali afumbiddwa nga wa myaka nkaaga, n’amuzaalira Segubu.
And afterwards hath Hezron gone in unto a daughter of Machir father of Gilead, and he hath taken her, and he [is] a son of sixty years, and she beareth to him Segub.
22 Segubu n’azaala Yayiri, eyafuganga ebibuga amakumi abiri mu bisatu mu nsi ye Gireyaadi.
And Segub begat Jair, and he hath twenty and three cities in the land of Gilead,
23 Naye Gesuli ne Alamu ne bawamba ebibuga bya Yayiri, Kenasi n’ebyalo byayo, byonna awamu byali ebibuga nkaaga. Abo bonna be baali abazzukulu ba Makiri, kitaawe wa Gireyaadi.
and he taketh Geshur and Aram, the small villages of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its small towns, sixty cities — all these [belonged to] the sons of Machir father of Gilead.
24 Kezulooni ng’amaze okufa, Kalebu ne yeebaka ne maama we omuto Efulaasi eyali mukyala wa kitaawe, n’amuzaalira Asukuli, n’azaala Tekowa.
And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, then the wife of Hezron, Abijah, even beareth to him Asshur, father of Tekoa.
25 Yerumeeri mutabani wa Kezulooni omukulu yalina batabani be bataano nga be ba Laamu, mutabani we omukulu, ne Buna, ne Oleni, ne Ozemu ne Akiya.
And sons of Jerahmeel, first-born of Hezron, are: the first-born Ram, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.
26 Wabula Yerumeeri yalina omukyala omulala ng’erinnya lye ye Atala, era oyo yali nnyina Onamu.
And Jerahmeel hath another wife, and her name [is] Atarah, she [is] mother of Onam.
27 Batabani ba Laamu mutabani omukulu owa Yerameeri baali Maazi, ne Yamuni ne Ekeri.
And sons of Ram, first-born of Jerahmeel, are Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
28 Batabani ba Onamu be baali Sammayi ne Yada, ate batabani ba Sammayi nga be ba Nadabu ne Abisuli.
And sons of Onam are Shammai and Jada. And sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29 Abisuli yalina omukyala erinnya lye Abikayiri, era n’amuzaalira Abani ne Molidi.
And the name of the wife of Abishur [is] Abihail, and she beareth to him Ahban and Molid.
30 Batabani ba Nadabu be baali Seredi ne Appayimu, naye Seredi n’afa nga tazadde mwana.
And sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; and Seled dieth without sons.
31 Mutabani wa Appayimu yali Isi, ate nga Isi ye kitaawe wa Akulayi.
And sons of Appaim: Ishi. And sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32 Batabani ba Yada muganda we Sammayi be baali Yeseri ne Yonasaani, naye Yeseri n’afa nga tazadde mwana.
And sons of Jada, brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether dieth without sons.
33 Batabani ba Yonasaani be baali Peresi ne Zaza. Abo bonna be baali bazzukulu ba Yerameeri.
And sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Sesani ye yalina baana ba buwala bokka, ng’alina n’omuddu Omumisiri, erinnya lye Yala.
And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters, and Sheshan hath a servant, an Egyptian, and his name [is] Jarha,
35 Sesani n’awaayo omu ku bawala be okufuumbirwa omuddu we Yala, era omuwala n’azaala Attayi.
and Sheshan giveth his daughter to Jarha his servant for a wife, and she beareth to him Attai;
36 Attayi n’azaala Nasani, ne Nasani n’azaala Zabadi.
and Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,
37 Zabadi n’azaala Efulali, ne Efulali n’azaala Obedi.
and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,
38 Obedi n’azaala Yeeku, ne Yeeku n’azaala Azaliya.
and Obed begat Jehu,
39 Azaliya n’azaala Kerezi, ne Kerezi n’azaala Ereyaasa.
and Jehu begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,
40 Ereyaasa n’azaala Sisumaayi, ne Sisumaayi n’azaala Sallumu.
and Eleasah begat Sismai, and Sismai begat Shallum,
41 Sallumu n’azaala Yekamiya, ne Yekamiya n’azaala Erisaama.
and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
42 Omwana omukulu owa Kalebu muganda wa Yerameeri, ye yali Mesa, ate Mesa n’azaala Zifu. Zifu n’azaala Malesa, Malesa n’azaala Kebbulooni.
And sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his first-born, he [is] father of Ziph; and sons of Mareshah: Abi-Hebron.
43 Batabani ba Kebbulooni baali Koola, ne Tappua, ne Lekemu, ne Sema.
And sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44 Sema n’azaala Lakamu, ne Lakamu n’azaala Yolukeyaamu. Lekemu n’azaala Sammayi.
And Shema begat Raham father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begat Shammai.
45 Mutabani wa Sammayi n’azaala Manoni, ne Mawoni n’azaala Besuzuli.
And a son of Shammai [is] Maon, and Maon [is] father of Beth-Zur.
46 Efa omukazi omulala owa Kalebu yamuzaalira Kalani, ne Moza ne Gazezi. Ate Kalani n’azaala omulenzi gwe yatuuma Gazezi.
And Ephah concubine of Caleb bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begat Gazez.
47 Batabani ba Yadayi baali Legemu, ne Yosamu, ne Gesani, ne Pereti, ne Efa ne Saafu.
And sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshem, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Ate era Kalebu yalina omukazi omulala, Maaka eyamuzaalira Seberi ne Tirukaana.
The concubine of Caleb, Maachah, bare Sheber and Tirhanah;
49 Mukazi we oyo yazaalayo n’omwana omulala erinnya lye Saafu, eyazaala Madumanna. Seva n’azaala Makubena ne Gibea. Muwala wa Kalebu ye yali Akusa.
and she beareth Shaaph father of Madmannah, Sheva father of Machbenah, and father of Gibea; and a daughter of Caleb [is] Achsa.
50 Abo be baali bazzukulu ba Kalebu. Batabani ba Kuuli baali Efulaasa omuggulanda, Sobali n’azaala Kiriyasuyalimu,
These were sons of Caleb son of Hur, first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim,
51 Saluma n’azaala Besirekemu, ne Kalefu n’azaala Besugaderi.
Salma father of Beth-Lehem, Hareph father of Beth-Gader.
52 Sabali eyazaala Kiriyasuyalimu, yalina abaana abalala nga be ba Kalowe, ne kimu kyakubiri eky’Abamenukosi,
And there are sons to Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim: Haroeh, half of the Menuhothite;
53 n’ebika ebya Kiriyasuyalimu nga be ba Abayisuli, n’Abapusi, n’Abasumasi, n’Abamisulayi. Muno mwe mwasibuka Abazolasi n’Abayesutawooli.
and the families of Kirjath-Jearim: the Ithrite, and the Puhite, and the Shumathite, and the Mishraite: from these went out the Zareathite, and the Eshtaulite.
54 Batabani ba Saluma baali Besirekemu, n’Abanetufa, Atulosubesuyowabu, ne kimu kyakubiri eky’Abamanakasi, Abazooli,
Sons of Salma: Beth-Lehem, and the Netophathite, Atroth, Beth-Joab, and half of the Menuhothite, the Zorite;
55 n’ebika by’abawandiisi b’amateeka abaabeeranga e Yabezi, nga be b’Abatirasi, Abasimeyasi, n’Abasukasi. Bano be Bakeeni abasibuka mu Kammasi, era be baavaamu oluggya lwa Lekabu.
and the families of the scribes the inhabitants of Jabez: Tirathites, Shimeathites, Suchathites. They [are] the Kenites, those coming of Hammath father of the house of Rechab.
