मत्ती 22
1 यीशु तब उन्को सी दृष्टान्तों म कहन लग्यो,
Once again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying,
2 “स्वर्ग को राज्य की तुलना एक राजा सी कर सकय हय, जेन अपनो बेटा को बिहाव को जेवन दियो।
“The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son.
3 अऊर ओन बिहाव को जेवन म नेवता वालो ख बुलावन लायी अपनो सेवक ख भेज्यो, पर उन लोगों न बिहाव म आनो नहीं चाह्यो।
He sent his servants to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come.
4 तब ओन अऊर सेवकों ख यो कह्य क भेज्यो, ‘नेवता वालो सी कहो: देखो, मय जेवन तैयार कर दियो हय, मोरो जनावर अऊर पाल्यो पशु काट्यो गयो हंय; अऊर सब कुछ तैयार हय; बिहाव को जेवन म आवो।’
Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and the fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’
5 पर हि अनसुनी कर क् चली गयो: कोयी अपनो खेत ख, कोयी अपनो धन्दा ख।
But they paid no attention and went away, one to his own field and another to his business.
6 बाकी न ओको सेवकों ख पकड़ क उन्को अपमान करयो अऊर मार डाल्यो।
The rest seized his servants, mistreated them, and killed them.
7 तब राजा ख गुस्सा आयो, अऊर ओन अपनी सेना भेज क उन हत्यारों को नाश करयो, अऊर उन्को नगर ख जलाय दियो।
When the king heard about it, he was furious. So he sent his armies, who destroyed those murderers and burned down their city.
8 तब ओन अपनो सेवकों सी कह्यो, ‘बिहाव को जेवन त तैयार हय पर नेवता वालो लोग लायक नहीं होतो।
Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 येकोलायी सड़क पर जावो अऊर जितनो लोग तुम्ख मिले, सब ख बिहाव को जेवन म बुलाय लावो।’
Go therefore to where the roads exit the city and invite to the wedding feast anyone you find.’
10 येकोलायी उन सेवकों न सड़क म जाय क जो भी बुरो यां भलो, जितनो मिल्यो, सब ख जमा करयो; अऊर बिहाव को घर मेहमानों सी भर गयो।”
So the servants went out to the roads and gathered together all whom they found, both evil and good, and the wedding feast was filled with guests.
11 “जब राजा मेहमानों ख देखन अन्दर आयो, त ओन उत एक आदमी ख देख्यो, जो बिहाव को कपड़ा पहिन्यो नहीं होतो।
“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who was not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 ओन ओको सी कह्यो, ‘हे संगी; तय इत बिहाव को कपड़ा पहिन्यो बिना कसो आय गयो?’ अऊर ऊ कुछ नहीं कह्य सक्यो।
So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did yoʋ get in here without a wedding garment?’ But the man was speechless.
13 तब राजा न सेवकों सी कह्यो, ‘येको हाथ-पाय बान्ध क ओख बाहेर अन्धारो म डाल देवो, उत रोवनो अऊर दात कटरनो होयेंन।’”
Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind his feet and hands, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
14 कहालीकि “बुलायो हुयो त बहुत हंय, पर चुन्यो हुयो थोड़ो हंय।”
For many are called, but few are chosen.”
15 तब फरीसियों न जाय क आपस म बिचार करयो कि ओख कसो तरह बातों म फसायबोंन।
Then the Pharisees went and took counsel as to how they might ensnare Jesus in what he said.
16 येकोलायी उन्न अपनो चेलावों ख हेरोदियों को संग ओको जवर यो कहन ख भेज्यो, “हे गुरु, हम जानजे हंय कि तय सच्चो हय, अऊर परमेश्वर को रस्ता सच्चायी सी सिखावय हय, अऊर कोयी कि परवाह नहीं करय, कहालीकि तय आदमियों को चेहरा देख क बाते नहीं करय।
They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, who said to him, “Teacher, we know that yoʋ are true and teach the way of God in truth and defer to no one, for yoʋ do not show partiality.
17 येकोलायी हम्ख बता कि तय का सोचय हय? कैसर ख कर देनो उचित हय कि नहाय।”
Tell us then, what do yoʋ think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
18 यीशु न उन्की दुष्ट हरकत जान क कह्यो, “हे कपटियों, मोख कहाली परखय हय?
But Jesus knew their evil intent and said, “Why are you testing me, you hypocrites?
19 मोख ऊ सिक्का दिखाव।” जेकोसी कर चुकायो जावय हय। तब हि ओको जवर एक सिक्का ले क आयो।
Show me the coin for the tax.” So they brought him a denarius.
20 ओन उन्को सी पुच्छ्यो, “यो चेहरा अऊर नाम कौन्को आय?”
Then he said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?”
21 उन्न ओको सी कह्यो, “कैसर को हय।” तब यीशु उन्को सी कह्यो, “जो कैसर को हय, ऊ कैसर ख देवो; अऊर जो परमेश्वर को हय, ऊ परमेश्वर ख देवो।”
They said to him, “Caesar's.” So he said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”
22 यो सुन क उन्न अचम्भित भयो, अऊर हि यीशु छोड़ क चली गयो।
When they heard this, they were amazed. Then they left him and went away.
23 उच दिन सदूकी जो कह्य हंय कि मरयो हुयो को पुनरुत्थान हयच नहाय, यीशु को जवर आयो अऊर ओको सी पुच्छ्यो,
On that day some Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to Jesus and asked him,
24 “हे गुरु, मूसा न कह्यो होतो, कि यदि कोयी आदमी बिना सन्तान मर जाये, त ओको भाऊ ओकी पत्नी सी बिहाव कर क् अपनो भाऊ लायी सन्तान पैदा करे।
“Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.’
25 अब हमरो इत सात भाऊ होतो; पहिलो बिहाव कर क् मर गयो, अऊर सन्तान नहीं होन को वजह अपनी विधवा पत्नी ख अपनो भाऊ लायी छोड़ गयो।
Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother.
26 यो तरह दूसरों अऊर तीसरो न भी करयो, अऊर सातों तक योच भयो।
The same thing happened to the second and to the third, down to the seventh.
27 सब को बाद आखरी म वा बाई भी मर गयी।
Last of all, the woman also died.
28 येकोलायी पुनरुत्थान को समय जीन्दो होन पर वा उन सातों म सी कौन्की पत्नी होयेंन? कहालीकि वा सब की पत्नी भय गयी होती।”
In the resurrection, therefore, which of the seven will she be the wife of? For they all had her.”
29 यीशु न उन्ख उत्तर दियो, “तुम पवित्र शास्त्र अऊर परमेश्वर को सामर्थ नहीं जानय; यो वजह सी भूल म पड़्यो हय।
Jesus answered them, “You are in error because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30 कहालीकि पुनरुत्थान को समय जीन्दो होनो पर हि नहीं बिहाव करेंन अऊर नहीं बिहाव म दियो जायेंन पर स्वर्ग म परमेश्वर को दूतों को जसो होयेंन।
For in the resurrection people neither marry nor are they given in marriage. Instead, they are like angels of God in heaven.
31 पर मरयो हुयो को जीन्दो होन को बारे म का तुम न यो वचन नहीं पढ़्यो जो परमेश्वर न तुम सी कह्यो:
But as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you:
32 ‘मय अब्राहम को परमेश्वर, अऊर इसहाक को परमेश्वर, अऊर याकूब को परमेश्वर आय?’ ऊ मरयो हुयो को नहाय, पर जीन्दो को परमेश्वर आय।”
‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
33 यो सुन क लोग ओकी शिक्षा सी अचम्भित भयो।
And when the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
34 जब फरीसियों न सुन्यो कि यीशु न सदूकियों को मुंह बन्द कर दियो, त हि जमा भयो।
Now when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
35 उन्म सी एक व्यवस्था को शिक्षक न ओख परखन लायी ओको सी पुच्छ्यो,
And one of them, a lawyer, asked Jesus a question to test him:
36 “हे गुरु, व्यवस्था म कौन सी आज्ञा सब सी बड़ी हय?”
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
37 ओन ओको सी कह्यो, “तय परमेश्वर अपनो प्रभु सी अपनो पूरो दिल अऊर अपनो पूरो जीव अऊर अपनी पूरी मन को संग प्रेम रख।
Jesus said to him, “‘Yoʋ shall love the Lord yoʋr God with all yoʋr heart, with all yoʋr soul, and with all yoʋr mind.’
38 बड़ी अऊर मुख्य आज्ञा त योच आय।
This is the most important and greatest commandment.
39 अऊर ओकोच जसो यो दूसरी भी हय कि तय अपनो पड़ोसी सी अपनो जसो प्रेम रख।
And a second is like it: ‘Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.’
40 योच दोय आज्ञायें पूरी व्यवस्था अऊर भविष्यवक्तावों को आधार हंय।”
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
41 जब फरीसी जमा होतो, त यीशु न उन्को सी पुच्छ्यो,
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 “मसीह को बारे म तुम का सोचय हय? ऊ कौन्को बेटा आय?” उन्न ओको सी कह्यो, “दाऊद को।”
“What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “David's.”
43 ओन उन्को सी पुच्छ्यो, “त दाऊद आत्मा म होय क ओख ‘प्रभु’ कहाली कह्य हय?”
He said to them, “How is it then that David, in the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord,’ saying,
44 “प्रभु न, मोरो प्रभु सी कह्यो, मोरो दायो बैठ, जब तक कि मय तोरो दुश्मनों ख तोरो पाय को खल्लो नहीं कर देऊं।”
‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make yoʋr enemies a footstool for yoʋr feet”’?
45 “जब दाऊद ओख ‘प्रभु’ कह्य हय, त ऊ ओको बेटा कसो भयो?”
If David calls him ‘Lord,’ how is he his son?”
46 कोयी भी ओख कुछ उत्तर नहीं दे सक्यो। अऊर ऊ दिन सी कोयी ख फिर ओको सी अऊर प्रश्न करन को साहस नहीं भयो।
No one was able to say anything in reply, nor did anyone dare to ask him questions anymore from that day forward.
