1 Boye, kozala Moyuda ezali na litomba nini? Kokatama ngenga ezali na tina nini?
What then is the superiority of the Jew? Or what is the advantage of circumcision?
2 Solo, ezali penza na litomba monene kati na makambo nyonso. Pamba te Maloba ya Nzambe epesamaki liboso epai na bango.
Much, every way. And first, because to them were intrusted the oracles of God.
3 Soki Bayuda mosusu bazangaki kondima, boni, bozangi na bango kondima ekolongola bosembo ya Nzambe?
For if some of them have not believed, have they, by their not believing, made the faith of God inefficient?
4 Soki moke te! Nzambe azali solo, mpe bato nyonso bazali bakosi kolanda ndenge ekomama: « Mpo ete bamona yo sembo na maloba na yo, mpe okobanda kolongaka tango bakobanda kosambisaka yo. »
Far be it: for God is veracious, and every man false: as it is written: That thou mightest be upright, in thy declarations; and be found pure, when they judge thee.
5 Kasi soki mabe na biso ezali kotalisa polele bosembo ya Nzambe, toloba nini? Nzambe azali mabe tango akitiselaka biso kanda na Ye? Nazali kaka kokanisa lokola moto.
But if our iniquity establish the rectitude of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous, when he inflicteth wrath? (I speak as a man.)
6 Te, ezali bongo te! Soki ezalaki bongo, ndenge nini Nzambe akokaki kosambisa mokili?
Far from it. Otherwise how will God judge the world?
7 To soki lokuta na ngai etalisi polele bosolo ya Nzambe mpe etomboli nkembo na Ye, mpo na nini nazwa lisusu etumbu lokola moto ya masumu?
But if the truth of God hath been furthered by my falsehood, to his glory; why am I then condemned as a sinner?
8 Mpe mpo na nini toloba te: « Tika ete tosala mabe mpo ete bolamu ebima kati na mabe » ndenge bato oyo batongaka biso bakosaka ete toteyaka bongo. Bato wana basengeli kozwa etumbu oyo ekoki na mabe na bango.
Or shall we say as some have slanderously reported us to say: We will do evil things, that good results may come? The condemnation of such is reserved for justice.
9 Boye, toloba nini? Biso Bayuda toleki bato mosusu? Te, soki moke te! Pamba te tosilaki kotalisa ete bato nyonso, ezala Bayuda to Bapagano, bango nyonso bazali na se ya bokonzi ya lisumu.
What then, have WE the superiority, when we have before decided as to both Jews and Gentiles, that all of them are under sin?
10 Kolanda ndenge ekomama: « Moto ya sembo azali te, ata moko te;
As it is written: There is none righteous; no, no one:
11 moto ya mayele azali te; ata moto moko te alukaka Nzambe.
and none that understandeth; nor that seeketh after God.
12 Bango nyonso babunga nzela, bango nyonso bamibebisa; moko te asalaka bolamu, ata moko te.
They have all turned aside, together; and become reprobates. There is none that doeth good; no, not one.
13 Minoko na bango ezali lokola bakunda ya kofungwama, lolemo na bango esalaka mosala ya kokosa, bibebu na bango ezali na ngenge ya etupa.
Their throats are open sepulchres, and their tongues treacherous; and the venom of the asp is under their lips.
14 Minoko na bango etonda na makambo ya bololo mpe na bilakeli mabe.
Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness;
15 Makolo na bango epotaka mbangu mpo na kosopa makila.
and their feet are swift to shed blood.
16 Na bisika nyonso oyo balekelaka, batikaka kaka libebi mpe pasi;
Destruction and anguish are in their paths:
17 bayebi nzela ya kimia te.
and the path of peacefulness they have not known:
18 Kotosa Nzambe ezali na tina ata moke te na miso na bango. »
and the fear of God is not before their eyes.
19 Nzokande, toyebi malamu ete makambo nyonso oyo Mobeko elobaka, elobaka yango mpo na bato oyo bazali na se ya bokonzi ya Mobeko, mpo ete moto moko te amilongisa, mpe mpo ete moto nyonso asosola ete azali moto ya masumu liboso ya Nzambe.
Now we know, that whatever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be guilty before God.
20 Yango wana, moto moko te akotangama lokola moto ya sembo na miso ya Nzambe mpo ete akokisi misala ya Mobeko, pamba te Mobeko epesaka kaka boyebi ya lisumu.
Wherefore, by the deeds of the law, no flesh is justified before him: for, by the law, sin is known.
21 Kasi sik’oyo, na kozanga kosalela Mobeko, Nzambe atalisi polele ndenge nini akomisaka bato sembo liboso na Ye, ndenge Mobeko mpe Basakoli batatola yango.
But now, the righteousness of God without the law, is manifested; and the law and the prophets testify of it:
22 Bato nyonso oyo bandimaka, Nzambe akomisaka bango bato ya sembo na nzela ya kondima Yesu-Klisto. Bokeseni ezali te kati na Bayuda mpe Bapagano,
even the righteousness of God, which is by faith in Jesus Messiah, for every one, and on every one, that believeth in him: for there is no distinction;
23 pamba te bato nyonso basali masumu mpe bazangi nkembo ya Nzambe;
for they have all sinned, and failed of the glory of God.
24 mpe bato nyonso bakomi bato ya sembo na ofele, na ngolu na Ye, na nzela ya lisiko kati na Yesu-Klisto.
And they are justified gratuitously, by grace, and by the redemption which is in Jesus Messiah;
25 Nzambe akabaki Klisto lokola mbeka mpo ete, na nzela ya kosopa makila na Ye, Klisto azwa bolimbisi masumu ya bato oyo bazali kondima. Asalaki bongo mpo na kotalisa bosembo na Ye, pamba te, na tango ya kala, tango oyo akangaki motema, apesaki bato etumbu te mpo na masumu na bango.
whom God hath preconstituted a propitiation, by faith in his blood, because of our sins, which we before committed,
26 Nzambe asalaki bongo mpo na kotalisa bosembo na Ye na tango oyo, mpo ete Ye moko azala Sembo mpe atanga lokola moto ya sembo, moto oyo azali kondimela Yesu.
in the space which God in his long suffering gave to us, for the manifestation of his righteousness at the present time; that he might be righteous, and might with righteousness justify him who is in the faith of our Lord Jesus Messiah.
27 Boye, tina nini komikumisa? Tina ezali te! Na mobeko nini? Na mobeko ya misala? Te, kasi na nzela ya kondima.
Where then is glorying? It is annihilated. By what law? by that of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Pamba te tososoli ete moto atangamaka lokola moto ya sembo na nzela kaka ya kondima, kasi na nzela ya kotosa Mobeko te.
We therefore conclude, that it is by faith a man is justified, and not by the works of the law.
29 Boni, Nzambe azali kaka Nzambe ya Bayuda? Azali mpe Nzambe ya bato ya bikolo ya bapaya te? Solo, azali mpe Nzambe ya bato ya bikolo ya bapaya.
For, is he the God of the Jews only, and not of the Gentiles? Nay: of the Gentiles also.
30 Pamba te Nzambe azali kaka moko; Ye nde akomisaka, na nzela ya kondima na bango, bato oyo bakatisa ngenga mpe bato oyo bakatisa ngenga te, bato ya sembo.
Because there is, one God, who justifieth the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision by the same faith.
31 Boni, tobomi Mobeko likolo ya kondima? Soki moke te! Tozali kutu kolendisa yango.
Do, we then nullify the law by faith? Far be it. On the contrary, we establish the law.
