< Barome 10 >

1 Bandeko, posa ya motema na ngai mpe libondeli na ngai epai ya Nzambe ezali ete bana ya Isalaele babika.
Brethren, the longing of my heart, and my prayer to God, on behalf of my countrymen is for their salvation.
2 Pamba te nakoki solo kotatola mpo na bango ete bazali penza na bolingo oyo eleka ndelo mpo na Nzambe. Nzokande, bolingo yango evandisami na boyebi te.
For I bear witness that they possess an enthusiasm for God, but it is an unenlightened enthusiasm.
3 Lokola bayebaki te ndenge nini Nzambe akomisaka bato sembo mpe balukaki komikomisa sembo na ndenge na bango moko, batosaki te lolenge oyo Nzambe akomisaka bato sembo.
Ignorant of the righteousness which God provides and building their hopes upon a righteousness of their own, they have refused submission to God's righteousness.
4 Klisto nde asukisa Mobeko mpo ete moto nyonso oyo akondima akoma moto ya sembo.
For as a means of righteousness Christ is the termination of Law to every believer.
5 Tala ndenge nini Moyize akomaki na tina na bosembo oyo ewutaka na Mobeko: « Moto oyo akosalela yango akobika bomoi na ye na nzela na yango. »
Moses says that he whose actions conform to the righteousness required by the Law shall live by that righteousness.
6 Kasi tala ndenge nini bosembo oyo ewutaka na kondima elobaka: « Komilobela te kati na motema na yo: ‹ Nani akomata kuna na Likolo? › Ezali lokola kokitisa Klisto wuta na Likolo
But the righteousness which is based on faith speaks in a different tone. "Say not in your heart," it declares, "'Who shall ascend to Heaven?'" --that is, to bring Christ down;
7 to mpe: ‹ Nani akokita kati na libulu monene mpe ya molili makasi? › Ezali lokola kotombola Klisto kati na bakufi. » (Abyssos g12)
"nor 'Who shall go down into the abyss?'" --that is, to bring Christ up again from the grave. (Abyssos g12)
8 Boye, elobaka penza nini? « Liloba ezali pene na yo, ezali kati na monoko na yo mpe kati na motema na yo. » Liloba yango nde ezali Liloba ya kondima, mpe yango nde tozali kotatola.
But what does it say? "The Message is close to you, in your mouth and in your heart;" that is, the Message which we are publishing about the faith--
9 Soki otatoli na monoko na yo ete Yesu azali Nkolo, mpe ondimi na motema na yo ete Nzambe asekwisaki Ye kati na bakufi, okobika;
that if with your mouth you confess Jesus as Lord and in your heart believe that God brought Him back to life, you shall be saved.
10 pamba te kondima oyo ekomisaka sembo ewutaka na motema, mpe litatoli oyo ememaka na lobiko ebimaka nde na monoko.
For with the heart men believe and obtain righteousness, and with the mouth they make confession and obtain salvation.
11 Makomi eloba: « Moto nyonso oyo andimelaka Ye akotikala koyokisama soni te. »
The Scripture says, "No one who believes in Him shall have reason to feel ashamed."
12 Boye, bokeseni ezali te kati na Moyuda mpe Mogreki, pamba te bango nyonso bazali na Nkolo moko oyo apambolaka makasi bato nyonso oyo babelelaka Ye.
Jew and Gentile are on precisely the same footing; for the same Lord is Lord over all, and is infinitely kind to all who call upon Him for deliverance.
13 Solo, moto nyonso oyo akobelela Kombo ya Nkolo akobikisama.
For "every one, without exception, who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
14 Kasi ndenge nini bakoki solo kobelela Ye soki bandimeli Ye te? Mpe ndenge nini bakoki solo kondimela Ye soki bayoki nanu sango na Ye te? Mpe ndenge nini bakoki solo koyoka sango na Ye soki moto ateyi bango te?
But how are they to call on One in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in One whose voice they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?
15 Mpe ndenge nini bakoki koteya soki batindami te? Kolanda ndenge ekomama: « Tala ndenge ezali kitoko, makolo ya bato oyo basakolaka basango ya malamu! »
And how are men to preach unless they have been sent to do so? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good!"
16 Kasi bato nyonso te ya Isalaele nde bandimaki Sango Malamu. Pamba te Ezayi alobaki: « Nkolo, nani andimaki mateya na biso? »
But, some will say, they have not all hearkened to the Good News. No, for Isaiah asks, "Lord, who has believed the Message they have heard from us?"
17 Boye, kondima ewutaka na maloba oyo toyokaka, mpe maloba oyo toyokaka ewutaka na Liloba ya Klisto.
And this proves that faith comes from a Message heard, and that the Message comes through its having been spoken by Christ.
18 Natuna nanu: Boni, bayokaki te? Iyo, bayokaki! Pamba te ekomama: « Mingongo na bango eyokanaki na mabele mobimba, maloba na bango ekomaki kino na suka ya mokili. »
But, I ask, have they not heard? Yes, indeed: "To the whole world the preachers' voices have sounded forth, and their words to the remotest parts of the earth."
19 Natuna lisusu: Bato ya Isalaele basosolaki te? Moyize azalaki moto ya liboso ya koloba: « Nakosala ete boyokela oyo ezali ata ekolo te zuwa, nakosala ete boyoka kanda mpo na ekolo oyo ezanga ata mayele. »
But again, did Israel fail to understand? Listen to Moses first. He says, "I will fire you with jealousy against a nation which is no nation, and with fury against a nation devoid of understanding."
20 Mpe Ezayi akomaki kino na koloba: « Namilakisaki epai ya bato oyo bazalaki koluka Ngai te, namimonisaki epai ya bato oyo bazalaki kotuna Ngai te. »
And Isaiah, with strange boldness, exclaims, "I have been found by those who were not looking for Me, I have revealed Myself to those who were not inquiring of Me."
21 Kasi alobaki boye mpo na Isalaele: « Natandaki maboko na Ngai mokolo mobimba epai ya bato oyo bazanga botosi mpe bato ya mito makasi. »
While as to Israel he says, "All day long I have stretched out My arms to a self-willed and fault-finding people."
