1 Yawe azali kokonza, alati lokumu monene; Yawe alati penza lokumu monene mpe amizingeli na nguya. Solo, mokili etelema ngwi, eninganaka te.
For the day before the Sabbath, when the land was [first] inhabited, the praise of a Song by David. The Lord reigns; he has clothed himself with honour: the Lord has clothed and girded himself with strength; for he has established the world, which shall not be moved.
2 Kiti ya Bokonzi na Yo epikama wuta kala; seko na seko, ozali.
Thy throne is prepared of old: thou art from everlasting.
3 Yawe, bibale egangaka! Bibale etombolaka lokito na yango; bibale etombolaka makelele na yango.
The rivers have lifted up, O Lord, the rivers have lifted up their voices,
4 Yawe azali monene makasi, na bisika ya likolo; aleki lokito ya mayi minene, mpe bambonge milayi ya ebale monene.
at the voices of many waters: the billows of the sea are wonderful: the Lord is wonderful in high places.
5 Yawe, malako na Yo ezali penza ya solo; bosantu elati Ndako na Yo mpo na libela.
Thy testimonies are made very sure: holiness becomes thine house, O Lord, for ever.
