1 Wuta na buku ya mokambi ya bayembi. Nzembo ya bana ya Kore. Ezali ya koyemba na lindanda ya bato ya Gati. Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, tala ndenge bisika oyo ovandaka ezali kopesa posa!
Lord, you who are the Commander of the armies of angels, your temple is very beautiful!
2 Nzoto na ngai mobimba ebukani pene nakufa mpo na posa makasi ya lopango ya Yawe! Motema mpe nzoto na ngai ezali koganga epai ya Nzambe na bomoi.
I [SYN] would like to be there; Yahweh, I desire that very much [DOU]. With all of my inner being I sing joyfully to you, the all-powerful God.
3 Ndeke ya moke ezwaka esika ya kovanda, mpe mbilambila esalaka zala epai wapi etiaka bana na yango, pene ya bitumbelo na Yo, Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, Mokonzi na ngai mpe Nzambe na ngai.
Even sparrows and swallows have built nests [near your temple, where you protect them] [DOU]; they take care of their young babies near the altars [where people offer sacrifices to] you, who are the commander of the armies of heaven, and my king and my God.
4 Esengo na bavandi ya Ndako na Yo! Bakokumisa Yo tango nyonso!
(Happy are/You are pleased with) those who (live/continually worship) in your temple, constantly singing to praise you.
5 Esengo na bato oyo bazwaka makasi kati na Yo; bakendaka na esengo na Tempelo na Yo!
Happy are those who [know that] you are the one who causes them to be strong, those who strongly desire to (make the trip/go) to Zion [Hill].
6 Tango bakatisaka Lubwaku ya Baka, bakomisaka yango esika oyo etonda na bitima ya mayi, mpe mvula etondisaka yango na mapamboli.
While they travel through the [dry] Baca Valley, [you cause] it to become a place where there are springs of water, where the rains (in the autumn/before the cold season) fill the valley with pools of water.
7 Makasi na bango ebakisamaka tango nyonso kino bakomaka na Siona, liboso ya Nzambe.
[As a result, those who travel through there] become stronger/refreshed [knowing that] they will appear in your presence (on Zion [Hill]/in Jerusalem).
8 Yawe, Nzambe-Na-Nguya-Nyonso, yoka losambo na ngai! Nzambe ya Jakobi, yoka ngai!
Yahweh, commander of the armies of heaven, listen to my prayer; God, who [is worshiped by us (descendants of] Jacob/Israeli people), hear [IDM] what I am saying!
9 Oh Nzambe, Yo oyo ozali nguba na biso, tala! Tala elongi ya mopakolami na Yo!
God, be kind to [IDM] our king, the one who protects us [MTY], the one whom you have chosen [MTY] [to rule us].
10 Lokola kovanda mokolo moko kati na lopango na Yo eleki kovanda mikolo nkoto moko na esika mosusu, naponaki kotelema na ekotelo ya Ndako ya Nzambe na ngai na esika ete navanda kati na bandako ya kapo ya bato mabe.
[For me], spending one day in your temple is better than spending 1,000 days somewhere else; [standing] at the entrance to your temple, [ready to go inside], is better than living in the tents/homes where wicked [people live].
11 Pamba te, mpo na biso, Yawe Nzambe azali moyi mpe nguba; Yawe apesaka ngolu mpe nkembo, aboyaka kopesa eloko moko te epai ya bato oyo batambolaka bazanga pamela.
Yahweh our God is [like] the sun [that shines on us] and [like] a shield [that protects us] [MET]; he is kind to [us] and honors [us]. Yahweh does not refuse to give any good thing/blessing to those who do what is right.
12 Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, esengo na moto oyo atiaka elikya kati na Yo!
Yahweh, commander of the armies of heaven, (happy are/you are pleased with) those who trust in you!
