1 Nzembo ya Azafi. Oh Nzambe, mpo na nini kosundola biso mpo na tango nyonso? Mpo na nini kongalisa kanda na Yo likolo ya etonga oyo oleisaka?
An Instructive Psalm. Asaph’s. Wherefore, O God, hast thou cast off utterly? Shall thine anger smoke against the flock of thine own pasturing?
2 Kanisa lisusu lisanga ya bato na Yo, oyo osikola wuta kala, libota oyo okomisa libula na Yo. Kanisa ngomba Siona epai wapi ovandaka.
Remember thine own assembly thou didst acquire aforetime, Thou didst redeem the tribe of thine own inheritance, Mount Zion, wherein thou didst take up thy habitation.
3 Tika ete matambe na Yo ekoma kino na bisika oyo ebebi nye! Kati na Esika na Yo ya bule, monguna abebisi nyonso;
Lift up thy steps unto the places utterly unsafe, All the mischief!—the foe in the sanctuary!
4 bayini na Yo bagangi lokola nkosi, ata kati na esika oyo okutanaka na biso, batelemisi bendele na bango lokola elembo.
Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of thine appointed meeting, They have set their ensigns as tokens!
5 Bazali lokola bato oyo basimbi bipasola mpe bazali kokata banzete kati na zamba.
One used to be known according as he carried up high—into the thicket of trees—the axes;
6 Babuki-buki bililingi nyonso oyo batobola na mabaya, na nzela ya bipasola mpe bamarto na bango;
But, now, the doors thereof all together, with axes and hammers, they batter down.
7 batumbi Esika na Yo ya bule, bakweyisi mpe bakomisi mbindo esika oyo Kombo na Yo evandaka.
They have cast, into the fire, thy sanctuary, To the ground, have they profaned the habitation of thy Name.
8 Bazalaki komilobela: « Tokopanza yango nyonso! » Kati na mokili, bazikisi esika nyonso epai wapi bagumbamelaka Nzambe.
They have said in their heart, Let us suppress them altogether, They have burned up all the meeting-places of GOD in the land.
9 Tozali lisusu komona te bilembo na biso, basakoli bazali lisusu te; mpe moko te kati na biso ayebi tango boni makambo oyo ekowumela.
Our own signs, have we not seen, —There is no longer a prophet, —Neither is there with us, one who knoweth—How long!
10 Oh Nzambe, kino tango nini monguna akofinga Yo? Boni, akokoba tango nyonso kotiola Kombo na Yo?
How long, O God, shall the adversary, reproach? Shall the enemy revile thy Name perpetually?
11 Mpo na nini ozongisi loboko na Yo na sima, loboko na Yo ya mobali? Mpo na nini okangi maboko na Yo?
Wherefore shouldst thou withdraw thy hand—thy right hand? [Bring it] out of the midst of thy bosom! (Selah)
12 Nzokande, Yo Nzambe, ozali Mokonzi na ngai wuta kala; Yo nde omemaka lobiko kati na mokili.
But, God, hath been my king from aforetime, Working Deliverances in the midst of the earth.
13 Yo nde opasolaki ebale na nguya na Yo, opanzaki mito ya bilima ya mayi;
Thou, didst cleave asunder, in thy might, the sea, Thou didst break in pieces the heads of the Crocodiles, [till they floated] on the waters;
14 Yo nde opanzaki mito ya Leviatani mpe opesaki yango lokola bilei epai ya banyama ya esobe;
Thou, didst crush the heads of the Sea-Monster, Thou didst give him to be food, for the people of the deserts;
15 Yo nde osalaki ete bitima ya mayi mpe miluka etiola, mpe okawusaki bibale mpo na libela.
Thou, didst cleave open fountain and torrent, Thou, didst dry up rivers of steady flow:
16 Moyi ezali ya Yo, butu mpe ezali ya Yo; Yo nde osalaki sanza mpe moyi.
Thine, is the day, Yea, thine, the night, Thou, didst establish moon and sun;
17 Ezali Yo nde otiaki bandelo nyonso ya mokili, Yo nde osalaki tango ya malili mpe tango ya moyi.
Thou, didst set up all the bounds of the earth, As for summer and winter, thou, didst form them!
18 Yawe, kobosana te ete monguna afingi Yo, ete bato bazanga tina batioli Kombo na Yo!
Remember this, An enemy, hath reproached Yahweh, Yea, an impious people, have reviled thy Name.
19 Kokaba te bomoi ya ebenga na Yo na monoko ya nyama oyo ezali na nzala, kobosana te mpo na libela bomoi ya babola oyo bazali bato na Yo!
Do not deliver up, to a wild beast, the life of thy turtle-dove, The living host of thine oppressed ones, do not forget perpetually.
20 Tala lisusu Boyokani na Yo! Pamba te, kati na mokili, bisika ya molili ekomi ebele, etondi na makambo na kanza.
Have respect to thy covenant, For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of violence.
21 Sala ete moto oyo bazali konyokola azwa lisusu lokumu! Sala ete mobola mpe moto akelela bakumisa Kombo na Yo.
May the crushed one not again be confounded, As for the oppressed and the needy, let them praise thy Name.
22 Oh Nzambe, telema mpe lobela Kombo na Yo! Kanisa lisusu ndenge nini bazoba bafingaka Yo mikolo nyonso!
Arise! O God, plead thine own cause, Remember the reproach of thee, from the impious one, all the day:
23 Kobosana te makelele ya bayini na Yo, mangungu ya banguna na Yo, oyo ezali kaka komata se komata!
Do not forget the voice of thine adversaries, The noise of thine assailants, ascending continually.
