< Banzembo 64 >

1 Wuta na buku ya mokambi ya bayembi. Nzembo ya Davidi. Oh Nzambe, yoka mongongo na ngai kati kolela na ngai, batela ngai mosika ya monguna oyo azali kopesa ngai somo.
[For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] Hear my voice, God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Bomba ngai mosika ya mikano ya bato mabe, mosika ya makita ya bato ya misala mabe.
Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;
3 Bapelisaka lolemo na bango ndenge bapelisaka mopanga, babimisaka maloba ya bololo lokola makonga
who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,
4 mpo na kobwakela, na kobombama, moto oyo azangi pamela; babangaka te kobwakela ye yango na mbalakata.
to shoot innocent men from ambushes. They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.
5 Balendisanaka mpo na mabongisi mabe, bayokanaka kotia mitambo; balobaka: « Nani akomona yango? »
They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, "Who will see them?"
6 Basalaka mabongisi ya kosala bato mabe, balobaka: « Toselingwi na mabongisi na biso! » Makanisi mpe motema ya moto ezali mozindo makasi.
They plot injustice; they hide a well-conceived plan. Surely man's mind and heart are cunning.
7 Kasi Nzambe akobwakela bango makonga na Ye na mbalakata; ekozwa mpe ekozokisa bango.
But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.
8 Maloba na bango moko ekobalukela bango mpe ekomema bango na libebi; mpe moto nyonso oyo akomona bango akoningisa moto.
Their own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.
9 Bato nyonso bakokoma kobanga, kopanza sango ya misala ya Nzambe mpe kososola makambo oyo asalaka.
All mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.
10 Moto ya sembo akosepela mpe akomibomba kati na Yawe; bato nyonso oyo bazali na mitema alima bakomikumisa mpo na yango.
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him.
