1 Wuta na buku ya mokambi ya bayembi. Eyembamaki ndenge moko na « Lisi ya litatoli. » Nzembo ya Davidi mpo na koteya bato. Ayembaki yango tango abundisaki bato ya Siri ya Mezopotami mpe bato ya Siri ya Tsoba, mpe tango Joabi azongaki, sima na ye kolonga bato nkoto zomi na mibale ya Edomi, na bitumba kati na Lubwaku ya Mungwa. Oh Nzambe, obwakaki mpe opanzaki biso, osilikaki penza. Sik’oyo, zongisa biso.
“For the leader of the music; upon the Shushan-Eduth; a psalm of David for instruction; when he was at strife with the Syrians of Mesopotamia, and the Syrians of Zoba; when Joab returned, and smote twelve thousand Edomites in the valley of Salt.” O God! thou hast forsaken us; thou hast broken us in pieces; Thou hast been angry! O revive us again!
2 Solo, oningisaki mabele mpe obukaki yango. Bamba madusu na yango, pamba te ekomi koningana.
Thou hast made the land tremble; thou hast rent it; O heal its breaches, for it tottereth!
3 Omonisaki bato na Yo pasi makasi, omelisaki biso vino oyo elangwisaka.
Thou hast caused thy people to see hard things; Thou hast made us drink the wine of reeling.
4 Opesaki na bato oyo batosaka Yo bendele mpo na koyebisa bango ete bakima liboso ya batolotolo ya banguna.
Lift up a banner for them that fear thee, For the sake of thy faithfulness, that they may escape!
5 Mpo ete balingami na Yo bakangolama, bikisa na nguya ya loboko na Yo ya mobali, mpe yanola biso! Yanola ngai!
That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer me!
6 Nzambe alobaki kati na Esika na Ye ya bule: « Nakolonga! Nakokabola Sishemi mpe nakomeka molayi ya lubwaku ya Sukoti.
God promiseth in his holiness; I will rejoice; I shall yet divide Shechem, And measure out the valley of Succoth.
7 Galadi ezali ya ngai, Manase mpe ezali ya ngai; Efrayimi ezali ekoti na ngai ya ebende, mpe Yuda ezali lingenda na ngai ya bokonzi.
Gilead shall be mine, and mine Manasseh; Ephraim shall be my helmet, And Judah my sceptre;
8 Moabi ezali sani monene oyo nasukolelaka, Edomi ezali esika oyo nabwakaka sandale na ngai. Mpo na Filisitia, nabetaka milolo ya elonga. »
Moab shall be my wash-bowl; Upon Edom shall I cast my shoe; I shall triumph over Philistia!
9 Nani akomema ngai kino na engumba oyo batonga makasi? Nani akotambolisa ngai kino na Edomi?
Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
10 Ezali Yo te, Nzambe oyo obwakaki biso, Nzambe oyo ozalaki lisusu te kokende bitumba elongo na mampinga na biso?
Wilt not thou, O God! who didst forsake us, And didst not go forth with our armies?
11 Yaka kosunga biso, kangola biso liboso ya moyini; pamba te lisungi ya bato ezali pamba.
Give us thine aid in our distress, For vain is the help of man!
12 Nzokande, elongo na Nzambe, tokosala makambo minene mpe ya kokamwa; ezali Ye nde akonyata banguna na biso.
Through God we shall do valiantly; For he will tread down our enemies.
