< Banzembo 43 >
1 Oh Nzambe, longisa ngai mpe lobela ngai liboso ya ekolo oyo etosaka makambo na Yo te; kangola ngai wuta na maboko ya bakosi mpe ya bato mabe.
Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause, Against a nation, without lovingkindness, From the man of deceit and perversity, wilt thou deliver me?
2 Nzambe, Yo nde ozali ndako na ngai, oyo batonga makasi; mpo na nini osundoli ngai? Mpo na nini nasengeli kotambola na pasi boye, na se ya minyoko ya monguna?
For, thou, art my defending God—Wherefore hast thou rejected me? Wherefore in gloom should I wander, because of the oppression of an enemy?
3 Tinda mwinda mpe solo na Yo mpo ete ekamba mpe emema ngai na ngomba na Yo ya bule epai wapi ovandaka;
Send forth thy light and thy faithfulness, Let, them, lead me, Let them bring me into thy holy mountain, and into thy habitations:
4 bongo nakokende na etumbelo epai ya Nzambe, esengo mpe bomengo na ngai. Oh Yawe, Nzambe na ngai, nakosanzola Yo na lindanda.
That I may go in unto the altar of God, Unto GOD, mine exultant joy, —That I may praise thee with the lyre, O God—mine own God!
5 Oh molimo na ngai, mpo na nini olembi boye? Mpo na nini ozali komitungisa kati na ngai? Tia elikya na yo kati na Nzambe, pamba te nakosanzola Ye lisusu, Mobikisi mpe Nzambe na ngai.
Why shouldst thou be cast down, O my soul? And why shouldst thou moan over me, Wait thou for God, for yet shall I praise him, As the triumph of my presence, and my God.
