< Banzembo 38 >
1 Nzembo ya Davidi mpo na kokanisa. Yawe, kopamela ngai te kati na kanda na Yo to kopesa ngai etumbu te kati na kanda makasi na Yo.
Yahweh, when you are angry [with me], do not rebuke/scold me and punish me!
2 Pamba te makonga na Yo etoboli ngai, mpe loboko na Yo ebeti ngai.
[Now it is as though] you have shot your arrows at me and wounded me; you have struck me and knocked me down.
3 Mpo na kanda na Yo, nzoto na ngai ebeli; mpo na masumu na ngai, mikuwa na ngai elembi.
Because you have been angry with me, I am suffering great pain. Because of my sin, my whole body is diseased.
4 Mabe na ngai eleki moto na ngai, ezali kilo makasi epai na ngai lokola mokumba ya kilo makasi.
All my sins are [like a flood] that covers my head; they are like a load that is very heavy, with the result that I cannot carry it.
5 Bapota na ngai epoli mpe ekomi kolumba solo mpo na bozoba na ngai.
Because I have done foolish things, I have sores that have become worse, and they stink.
6 Nagumbami, nalembi makasi; nakomi moto ya mawa mpo na libela.
[Sometimes] I am bent over, and [sometimes] I lie prostrate; I am sad/cry all day.
7 Pamba te nazali koyoka pasi makasi na mokongo na ngai, eteni ata moko te ya nzoto na ngai ezali malamu.
My body is burning with fever, and I am very ill.
8 Nalembi, makasi na ngai nyonso esili; mobulu ekoti na motema na ngai, nakomi koganga na kolemba te.
I am completely exhausted, and I have no strength. I am very distressed, and I groan with pain.
9 Nkolo, oyebi posa na ngai nyonso; kolela na ngai ezali ya kobombama te na miso na Yo.
Yahweh, you know that I desire [to be healed]; you hear me while I am groaning.
10 Motema na ngai ezangi kimia, makasi na ngai ekomi kosila, nabungisi ata pole ya miso na ngai.
My heat is pounding heavily, and all my strength is gone. I am no longer able to see well.
11 Bato oyo balingaka ngai mpe baninga na ngai bakimi pasi na ngai, ba-oyo bazalaka na ngai esika moko batelemi mosika na ngai.
My friends and neighbors stay away from me because of my sores; even my own family stays away from me.
12 Bato oyo balukaka kufa na ngai bazali kotia mitambo, ba-oyo balukaka pasi na ngai bazali koloba mpo na kosala ngai mabe, bakomi mikolo nyonso kobongisa lokuta.
And those who want to kill me set traps to catch me; those who want to harm me discuss ways to get rid of me; they plot against me all day.
13 Kasi ngai nazali kosala lokola mokufi matoyi; mpe lokola baba, nakangi monoko, naboyi koloba.
Now I act like I’m deaf, and do not listen [to what they say]. I act like I cannot talk, so I say nothing [to reply to them].
14 Nakomi lokola mokufi matoyi oyo akoki kopesa eyano ata moko te na monoko na ye.
I act like a man who does not answer [when people talk to him], because he cannot hear anything.
15 Yawe, natiaka elikya na ngai kati na Yo; oh Nkolo, Nzambe na ngai, solo, okoyanola.
But Yahweh, I trust in you. My Lord God, you will answer me.
16 Nalobaki: « Kopesa nzela te ete basepela na tina na ngai to bamitombola likolo na ngai soki nabeti libaku. »
I said to you, “Do not cause [me to die, with the result that] my enemies will rejoice! Do not cause me to stumble, with the result that they will be very happy!”
17 Pamba te nakomi pene ya kokweya, pasi na ngai ezali kaka elongo na ngai tango nyonso.
I say that because I am about to fall down, and I constantly have pain.
18 Solo nandimi mabe na ngai, masumu na ngai ezali kotungisa molimo na ngai.
I confess the wrong things that I have done; I am [very] sorry for the sins that I have committed.
19 Banguna na ngai bazali makasi mpe bingambe, bato oyo bayinaka ngai kaka pamba bazali ebele.
My enemies are healthy and strong; there are many people who hate me for no reason.
20 Bato oyo bazongisaka mabe na bolamu bazali kofunda ngai atako nalukaka kosala bolamu.
Those who do evil things to me in return for my doing good things to them oppose me because I try to do what is right.
21 Yawe, kosundola ngai te; Nzambe na ngai, kozala mpe mosika na ngai te.
Yahweh, do not abandon me! My God, do not stay far from me!
22 Nkolo, Mobikisi na ngai, yaka noki kosunga ngai.
Lord, you are the one who saves/rescues me; Quickly [come and] help me!
