Out of the depths I have cried to you, Adonai.
2 Nkolo, yoka ngai! Yoka mabondeli na ngai!
Lord, sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.
3 Yawe, soki obosanaka masumu te, Nkolo, nani akokaki kotelema?
If you, Yah, kept a record of depravities (moral evils), Lord, who could stand?
4 Kasi bolimbisi ezali epai na Yo, yango wana basengeli kotosa Yo.
But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.
5 Na motema na ngai mobimba, nazali na elikya kati na Yawe, nazali penza na elikya; nazali kozela maloba na Ye.
I wait for Adonai. My soul waits. I hope in his word.
My soul longs for 'Adonay [Lord] more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.
Israel [God prevails], hope in Adonai, for with Adonai there is chesed ·loving-kindness·. With him is abundant redemption.
8 Ye nde akokangola Isalaele na bambeba na yango nyonso.
He will redeem Israel [God prevails] from all their depravities (moral evils).
