1 Nzembo ya mobembo mpo na kokende na Ndako ya Yawe. Bato oyo batiaka elikya kati na Yawe bazali lokola ngomba Siona oyo eninganaka te, oyo epikama mpo na libela.

[A Song of Ascents.] Those who trust in the LORD are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but remains forever.

2 Ndenge bangomba ezingeli Yelusalemi, ndenge wana mpe Yawe azingeli bato na Ye, kobanda sik’oyo kino libela na libela.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time forth and forevermore.

3 Bokonzi ya mabe ekowumela te na etuka ya bato ya sembo, mpo ete basangana te na mabe.

For the scepter of wickedness won't remain over the allotment of the righteous; so that the righteous won't use their hands to do evil.

4 Yawe, zala malamu mpo na bato malamu mpe mpo na bato oyo bazali alima na mitema!

Do good, LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.

5 Kasi tika ete Yawe abengana bato ya kilikili elongo na bato ya misala mabe! Tika ete kimia ezala na Isalaele!

But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD will lead them away with evildoers. Peace be on Israel.
