1 Bokumisa Yawe! Esengo na moto oyo atosaka Yawe mpe asepelaka makasi na mibeko na Ye.
Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.
2 Bana na ye bakozala bato na nguya kati na mokili; ekeke ya bato ya sembo ekopambolama.
Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].
3 Ndako na ye ezali na bokolongono mpe na bomengo, mpe bosembo na ye ewumelaka mpo na seko.
Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.
4 Pole engengaka kati na molili mpo na bato ya alima, mpo na moto oyo alimbisaka baninga, ayokelaka bato mawa mpe azali sembo.
Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.
5 Esengo na moto oyo ayokelaka bato mawa mpe adefisaka, mpe asalaka misala na ye kolanda bosembo.
Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.
6 Solo, aninganaka ata moke te. Bakanisaka misala ya moto ya sembo tango nyonso.
Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].
7 Abangaka basango ya mabe te; motema na ye ezali na kimia, atiaka elikya na ye kati na Yawe.
They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.
8 Motema na ye eninganaka te, abangaka te kino akomona banguna na ye kozwa etumbu.
They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.
9 Akabelaka babola na motema ya esengo; bosembo na ye ewumelaka libela na libela, lokumu na ye ekitaka te.
They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.
10 Moto mabe amonaka yango mpe asilikaka na zuwa, aliaka minu mpe alembaka nzoto. Posa ya bato mabe elimwaka.
Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
