< Masese 7 >

1 Mwana na ngai, batela mibeko na ngai mpe bomba yango malamu kati na motema na yo.
My son, observe my sayings, and my commandments must thou treasure up with thee.
2 Batela mateya na ngai malamu, mpe okozala na bomoi; batela mibeko na ngai lokola mbuma ya liso na yo.
Observe my commandments, and live: and my teaching as the apple of thy eyes.
3 Lata yango na loboko na yo lokola lopete, koma yango na etando ya motema na yo.
Bind them around thy fingers, write them upon the table of thy heart.
4 Loba na Bwanya: « Ozali ndeko na ngai ya mwasi, » mpe bengaka Mayele « Moninga na ngai; »
Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
5 mpo ete ekoka kobatela yo liboso ya mwasi ya ndumba mpe ekoka kokebisa yo liboso ya mwasi oyo alobaka maloba ya elengi, nzokande ezali ya lokuta.
That they may keep thee from an adulterous woman, from an alien that useth flattering speeches.
6 Mokolo moko, nazalaki kotala wuta na madusu ya lininisa ya ndako na ngai,
For through the window of my house, through my lattice did I [once] look out,
7 namonaki kati na molongo ya bato oyo bazangi mayele, kati na bilenge mibali, elenge mobali moko oyo azangi penza mayele.
And I beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a lad void of sense;
8 Azalaki koleka na balabala, pene ya esika oyo mwasi wana ya ndumba avandaka, mpe akotaki na nzela oyo ekenda kino na ndako ya mwasi ya ndumba.
He was passing through the market-place near her corner; and he stepped along on the way to her house,
9 Ezalaki na pokwa, tango moyi elimwaki, mpe molili ya butu ekomaki koya.
In the twilight, in the evening of the day, in the depth of the night and when it was dark:
10 Mpe tala, mwasi yango ya ndumba ayaki kokutana na elenge mobali, alataki penza lokola mwasi ya ndumba, mpe motema na ye etonda na mayele mabe;
And, behold, a woman came to meet him with the attire of a harlot, and obdurate of heart.
11 azalaki mwasi ya makelele makasi mpe ya mobulu, makolo na ye evandaka na ndako te,
(She is noisy and ungovernable; in her house her feet never rest;
12 atalaka-talaka na bisika nyonso, tango mosusu na libanda, tango mosusu na bisika oyo bato ebele bakutanaka.
At one time she is in the street, at another in the open places, and near every corner doth she lurk, )
13 Mwasi yango ya ndumba asimbaki elenge mobali, ayambaki ye, alaliselaki ye miso mpe alobaki na ye:
And she caught hold of him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face she said to him,
14 « Nazalaki na niongo ya mbeka ya kozongisa matondi epai na Yawe; mpe lelo, nasili kokokisa ndayi na ngai.
“I had bound myself to bring peace-offerings; this day have I paid my vows:
15 Yango wana, nabimaki mpo na kokutana na yo; nazalaki koluka yo, mpe, tala, namoni yo.
Therefore am I come forth to meet thee, to seek thy presence diligently, and I have found thee.
16 Natandi mbeto na ngai na babulangeti ya langi ya ndenge na ndenge, basala na basinga ya lino oyo ewutaka na Ejipito.
With tapestry coverings have I decked my bed, with embroidered coverlids of the fine linen of Egypt.
17 Na mbeto na ngai, nasopi malasi ya mire, ya aloe mpe ya sinamoni.
I have sprinkled my couch with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Yaka tolangwa bolingo kino na tongo, tomipesa mobimba na elengi ya bolingo,
Come, let us indulge in love until the morning: let us delight ourselves with dalliances.
19 pamba te mobali na ngai azali na ye na ndako te, akendeki mobembo na mokili ya mosika,
For the man is not in his house, he is gone on a journey a great way off:
20 akendeki na saki ya mbongo na maboko, akozonga na ndako te kino na tango oyo sanza engengaka. »
The bag of money hath he taken with him, by the day of the new-moon festival only will he come home.”
21 Na nzela ya maloba na ye ya sukali, alongaki kokosa ye; na nzela ya maloba na ye ya elengi, amemaki ye.
She seduced him by the abundance of her reasoning: by the flattery of her lips she misguided him.
22 Elenge mobali alandaki ye mbala moko, lokola ngombe oyo bazali komema na bisika oyo babomaka banyama, lokola moto ya liboma oyo bakangi mpo na kobeta ye
He followed after her suddenly, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, and as in fetters to his correction, the fool:
23 kino tango likonga ekotobola ye motema, lokola ndeke oyo ekeyi mbangu na motambo na kozanga koyeba ete ekeyi kokufa.
Till an arrow cleaveth through his liver; as a bird hasteneth into the snare, and knoweth not that it is done to take his life.
24 Sik’oyo, mwana na ngai ya mobali, yoka ngai, pesa ngai matoyi na yo mpo na koyoka maloba ya monoko na ngai!
And now, O children, hearken unto me, and listen to the sayings of my mouth.
25 Tika ete mwasi ya boye akumba te motema na yo! Kopengwa te na banzela na ye,
Let not thy heart turn aside to her ways, do not go astray on her paths.
26 pamba te asili kokweyisa mpe kozokisa bato ebele, mpe asili kobomisa bingambe mibali.
For many deadly wounded hath she caused to fall: yea, very numerous are all those slain by her.
27 Ndako na ye ezali penza nzela ya mboka ya bakufi, oyo ememaka kino na bandako ya kufa. (Sheol h7585)
The ways to the nether world is her house leading down to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
