< Masese 6 >

1 Mwana na ngai, soki ondimi niongo ya moninga na yo, soki obeti tolo mpo na kondima niongo ya mopaya,
My son, if thou art surety for thy friend, if thou hast struck thy hand with a stranger,
2 omikangi nde singa na maloba na yo, omikangi nde na motambo ya maloba ya monoko na yo.
Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
3 Boye, mwana na ngai, sala makambo oyo mpo ete omikangola, pamba te omikabaki na maboko ya moninga na yo; kende komikitisa liboso na ye mpe tingama na ye,
Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and plead with thy friend.
4 kotika te ete miso na yo elala pongi to enimba;
Give not sleep to thy eyes, nor slumber to thy eyelids.
5 mikangola na motambo lokola mboloko na maboko ya mobomi banyama ya zamba, mpe lokola ndeke na motambo ya mokangi bandeke.
Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
6 Yo moto ya goyigoyi, kende epai ya furmi, tala malamu ezaleli na yango mpe okozwa bwanya!
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Yango ezalaka na mokambi te, mokengeli te to mokonzi te;
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 ebongisaka bilei na yango na tango ya moyi makasi, ebombaka yango na tango ya kobuka mbuma.
Provideth her food in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 Yo moto ya goyigoyi, okolala pongi kino tango nini? Kino tango nini okolamuka na pongi na yo?
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Mwa pongi moke, mwa kopema moke, mwa kokanga maboko moke mpo na kolala
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 mpe bobola ekoyela yo na pwasa lokola moleki nzela, mpe pasi ekoyela yo lokola moyibi.
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
12 Moto oyo atambolaka na lokuta na monoko azali moto ya Beliali, moto mabe:
A worthless person, a wicked man, walketh with a perverse mouth.
13 Abetaka-betaka miso, apesaka bilembo na makolo na ye mpe alobaka na nzela ya bilembo ya misapi;
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
14 azalaka na makanisi mabe kati na motema na ye, asalaka tango nyonso mabongisi ya mabe mpe alukaka kaka tango nyonso makelele.
Perverseness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
15 Yango wana, pasi ekoyela ye na pwasa, akobukana mbala moko, mpe kisi ya kobikisa ye ekozala te.
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
16 Yawe ayinaka makambo wana motoba; mpe makambo oyo sambo ezali mabe penza na miso na Ye:
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination to him:
17 Kodongola, lolemo ya lokuta, maboko oyo ebomaka moto oyo asali mabe te,
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 motema oyo ekanisaka mabongisi ya mabe, makolo oyo epotaka mbangu na mabe,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that are swift in running to mischief,
19 motatoli mabe oyo alobaka lokuta mpe moto oyo alukaka makelele kati na bandeko.
A false witness that speaketh lies, and him that soweth discord among brethren.
20 Mwana na ngai, batela mibeko ya tata na yo mpe kosundola te mateya ya mama na yo.
My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Kanga yango tango nyonso na motema na yo, lata yango na kingo na yo.
Bind them continually upon thy heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 Pamba te ekolakisa yo nzela tango okokende na mobembo, ekobatela yo tango okolala pongi mpe ekosolola na yo tango okolamuka.
When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 Mibeko ezali mwinda, mateya ezali pole, makebisi mpe pamela ezali nzela ya bomoi,
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
24 mpo na kobatela yo mosika ya mwasi ya ndumba, mosika ya lokuta ya lolemo ya mwasi ya mopaya.
To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of an adulteress woman.
25 Kotika te ete motema na yo elula kitoko na ye, mpe miso na ye ekweyisa yo.
Lust not after her beauty in thy heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
26 Pamba te likolo ya mwasi ya ndumba, okoki kobungisa ezala eteni na yo ya lipa, mpe mwasi ya libala akoki kobebisa bomoi ya motuya.
For by means of an harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
27 Boni, moto akoki solo kozika moto, bongo bilamba na ye ezika te?
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
28 Moto akoki solo kotambola na likolo ya makala ya moto, bongo makolo na ye ezika te?
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
29 Boye, moto nyonso oyo akosangisa nzoto na mwasi ya ndeko na ye akozanga te kozwa etumbu.
So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
30 Kotiola moyibi te soki ayibi mpo ete azali na nzala mpe azangi eloko ya kolia.
Men do not despise a thief, if he stealeth to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
31 Kasi soki bakangi ye, akozongisa mbala sambo, akopesa biloko nyonso ya ndako na ye.
But if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
32 Mobali oyo asalaka ekobo na mwasi ya moninga azali lokola moto oyo azangi mayele; kosala ekobo ya boye ezali nde komiboma;
But whoever committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
33 akobuka lokola mbuma: minyoko mpe kosambwa; bongo soni na ye ekosila te.
A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
34 Pamba te zuwa epelisaka kanda makasi kati na mobali, mpe akozala na mawa te na mokolo oyo akozongisa mabe na mabe;
For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
35 akotikala kondima ata lifuti moko te mpo ete akoka kolimbisa, mpe akoboya yango ata soki babakisi bakado.
He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
