< Masese 5 >
1 Mwana na ngai, zala na bokebi na bwanya na ngai, mpe pesa litoyi na yo na mayele na ngai,
My sonne, hearken vnto my wisedome, and incline thine eare vnto my knowledge.
2 mpo ete ozala na bososoli, mpe bibebu na yo ebomba boyebi.
That thou maiest regarde counsell, and thy lippes obserue knowledge.
3 Pamba te bibebu ya mwasi ya ndumba ebimisaka mafuta ya nzoyi, mpe lolemo na ye ezali elengi lokola mafuta;
For the lippes of a strange woman drop as an honie combe, and her mouth is more soft then oyle.
4 kasi na suka na nyonso, azali bololo lokola masanga ya bololo, songe lokola mopanga ya minu mibale.
But the end of her is bitter as wormewood, and sharpe as a two edged sworde.
5 Makolo na ye ekokita kino na kufa, ekokende kino na mokili ya bakufi. (Sheol )
Her feete goe downe to death, and her steps take holde on hell. (Sheol )
6 Amitungisaka te mpo na nzela ya bomoi, alandaka nzela oyo ayebi te esika nini ekosuka.
She weigheth not the way of life: her paths are moueable: thou canst not knowe them.
7 Sik’oyo mwana na ngai, yoka ngai, kopesa maloba na ngai mokongo te;
Heare yee me nowe therefore, O children, and depart not from the wordes of my mouth.
8 longola nzela na yo pembeni na ye mpe kopusana te liboso ya ndako na ye,
Keepe thy way farre from her, and come not neere the doore of her house,
9 noki te akoya kokaba lokumu na yo epai ya bato mosusu, mpe mibu na yo epai ya moto mabe;
Least thou giue thine honor vnto others, and thy yeeres to the cruell:
10 noki te bapaya bakotonda na biloko oyo yo omoneli pasi, mpe mbuma ya mosala na yo ekokende na ndako ya mopaya;
Least the stranger should be silled with thy strength, and thy labours bee in the house of a stranger,
11 noki te okokoma kolelalela na suka tango nzoto na yo ekolemba mpe makasi na yo ekosila,
And thou mourne at thine end, (when thou hast consumed thy flesh and thy bodie)
12 mpe oloba: « Mpo na nini nayinaki mateya, mpe motema na ngai eboyaki koyoka toli?
And say, How haue I hated instruction, and mine heart despised correction!
13 Mpo na nini nayokaki te mongongo ya balakisi na ngai mpe napesaki litoyi te epai ya bato oyo bazalaki koteya ngai?
And haue not obeied the voyce of them that taught mee, nor enclined mine eare to them that instructed me!
14 Etikalaki kaka moke ete nakweya na mabe ya mozindo, kati na Lingomba ya bato ya Nzambe. »
I was almost brought into all euil in ye mids of the Congregation and assemblie.
15 Melaka mayi ya libulu na yo moko, oyo ezali kobima penza na libulu na yo.
Drinke the water of thy cisterne, and of the riuers out of the middes of thine owne well.
16 Boni, bitima na yo esopa penza mayi na libanda to miluka na yo esopa penza mayi na balabala?
Let thy fountaines flow foorth, and the riuers of waters in the streetes.
17 Tika ete ezala kaka mpo na yo moko, kasi kokabola yango te na bapaya.
But let them bee thine, euen thine onely, and not the strangers with thee.
18 Tika ete etima na yo epambolama, mpe sepela na mwasi ya bolenge na yo,
Let thy fountaine be blessed, and reioyce with the wife of thy youth.
19 oyo azali lokola mbuli kitoko ya mwasi, lokola mboloko ya mafuta. Tika ete tango nyonso, mabele na ye etondisaka yo na esengo, mpe bolingo na ye elangwisaka yo!
Let her be as the louing hinde and pleasant roe: let her brests satisfie thee at all times, and delite in her loue continually.
20 Mwana na ngai ya mobali, mpo na nini kokufela kolinga mwasi ya ndumba? Mpo na nini kosepela kosakana na mabele ya mwasi mosusu?
For why shouldest thou delite, my sonne, in a strange woman, or embrace the bosome of a stranger?
21 Solo, nzela ya moto ezali liboso ya Yawe, mpe ayekolaka malamu makambo nyonso oyo moto asalaka.
For the waies of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his pathes.
22 Moto mabe akokangama kaka na motambo ya mabe na ye moko mpe na singa ya lisumu na ye,
His owne iniquities shall take the wicked himselfe, and he shall be holden with the cordes of his owne sinne.
23 akokufa likolo ya bozoba, mpe liboma na ye ekobungisa ye nzela.
Hee shall die for fault of instruction, and shall goe astray through his great follie.
