< Bafilipi 1 >

1 Polo mpe Timote, bawumbu ya Yesu-Klisto; Epai ya basantu nyonso kati na Klisto, oyo bazali na Filipi, elongo na bakambi ya Lingomba mpe badiakona:
To all Christ’s People at Philippi, with the Presiding Officers and Assistants, from Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus.
2 Tika ete ngolu mpe kimia epesamela bino kowuta na Nzambe, Tata na biso, mpe na Nkolo Yesu-Klisto!
May God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you, and give you peace.
3 Nazongisaka matondi epai ya Nzambe na ngai tango nyonso nakanisaka bino;
Every recollection that I have of you is a cause of thankfulness to God,
4 nasambelaka Nzambe tango nyonso mpo na bino nyonso mpe nasalaka yango na esengo,
always, in every prayer that I offer for you all — my prayers are full of joy —
5 mpo na lisungi na bino kati na mosala ya kopanza Sango Malamu, wuta na mokolo ya liboso kino sik’oyo.
Because of the share that you have had in spreading the Good News, from the first day that you received it until now.
6 Nandimisami solo ete Ye oyo abandaki mosala kitoko oyo kati na bino akokomisa yango kino na suka, na mokolo ya Yesu-Klisto.
For of this I am confident, that he who began a good work in you will complete it in readiness for the Day of Jesus Christ.
7 Ezali sembo mpo na ngai kozala na makanisi ya lolenge oyo mpo na bino nyonso; solo, nalingaka bino mingi, pamba te bino nyonso bosanganaka makasi elongo na ngai kati na ngolu ya Nzambe, ezala tango nazali ya kokangama na minyololo kati na boloko to tango nazali kolobela mpe kotatola Sango Malamu na molende.
And, indeed, I am justified in feeling thus about you all; because you have a warm place in my heart — you who all, both in my imprisonment and in the work of defending and establishing the Good News, shared my privilege with me.
8 Nzambe azali Motatoli na ngai ete nalingaka bino nyonso makasi, na bolingo ya Yesu-Klisto.
God will bear me witness how I yearn over you all with the tenderness of Christ Jesus.
9 Mpe nasengaka kati na mabondeli na ngai ete bolingo na bino ekoba kokola tango nyonso kati na boyebi ya solo mpe na bososoli ya kokoka,
And what I pray for is this — that your love may grow yet stronger and stronger, with increasing knowledge and all discernment,
10 mpo ete bokoka kososola makambo oyo eleki malamu. Na bongo, bokozala peto mpe bokozanga pamela mpo na mokolo ya Klisto,
until you are able to appreciate all moral distinctions. And I pray, too, that you may be kept pure and blameless against the Day of Christ,
11 bokotonda na mbuma ya bosembo oyo ewutaka na Yesu-Klisto, mpo na nkembo mpe lokumu ya Nzambe.
bearing a rich harvest of that righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
12 Bandeko na ngai, nalingi boyeba ete makambo oyo ekomeli ngai esali penza ete Sango Malamu ekende liboso.
Brothers, I want you to realise that what has happened to me has actually served to forward the Good News.
13 Boye, bakengeli nyonso ya ndako ya mokonzi mpe bato nyonso oyo bazali awa bayebi ete nazali kati na boloko mpo na Klisto.
It has even become evident, not only to all the Imperial Guard, but to every one else, that it is for Christ’s sake that I am in chains.
14 Mpe lisusu, kozala na ngai kati na boloko epesi na bandeko mingi kati na Nkolo molende ya kotia elikya kati na Nkolo mpe ya koteya Liloba na Nzambe, na mpiko mpe na bozangi bobangi.
And besides this, most of our Brothers have gained confidence in the Lord through my chains, and now venture with far greater freedom to speak of God’s Message fearlessly.
15 Ezali solo ete bamoko bazali kosakola Klisto mpo na zuwa mpe kowelana na ngai, kasi bamosusu bazali kosala yango na makanisi ya malamu:
It is true that some do proclaim the Christ out of Jealousy and opposition; but there are others who proclaim him from good-will.
16 bazali kosala na bolingo mpo bayebi ete ezali mpo na kotatola mpo na Sango Malamu nde ngai nazali awa.
The latter do it from love for me, knowing that I have been appointed to plead the cause of the Good News.
17 Kasi mpo na ba-oyo bazali kosakola Klisto mpo na posa ya kowelana, makanisi na bango ezali ya malamu te: bazali kokanisa ndenge nini bakoki kobakisa pasi na ngai, na tango oyo nazali na pasi lokola mokangami kati na boloko.
The former spread the news of the Christ in a factious spirit, and not sincerely, thinking to add to the pain of my chains.
18 Ezala bongo to bongo te, eloko ya motuya ezali ete Klisto azali kosakolama, na lolenge nyonso, ezala na makanisi ya mabe to na bosolo; mpe ngai nazali kosepela mpo na yango. Kutu, nakokoba kosepela mpo na yango.
But what of that? Only that in some way or other, either with assumed or with real earnestness, Christ is being made known; and at that I rejoice.
19 Nayebi solo ete, na nzela ya mabondeli na bino mpe ya lisungi ya Molimo ya Yesu-Klisto, makambo oyo ekomeli ngai ekosuka na kokangolama na ngai.
Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that, through your prayers and through a rich supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, ‘all this will make for my Salvation.’
20 Eloko nazali kozela makasi mpe kolikya na motema na ngai mobimba ezali ete nayokisama soni te ata na likambo moko, kasi Klisto akumisama kati na nzoto na ngai, sik’oyo mpe tango nyonso, na elikya nyonso, ezala na nzela ya bomoi na ngai to na nzela ya kufa na ngai.
And this will fulfil my earnest expectation and hope that I shall have no cause for shame, but that, with unfailing courage, now as hitherto, Christ will be honoured in my body, whether by my life or by my death,
21 Mpo na ngai, kosalela Klisto, yango nde tina ya bomoi na ngai; mpe kokufa ezali litomba.
for to me life is Christ, and death is gain.
22 Nzokande, soki kokoba na ngai kobika kati na mokili ekopesaka ngai nzela ya kobota bambuma ebele ya malamu na nzela ya mosala na ngai, nayebi te nini nasengeli kopona.
But what if the life here in the body — if this brings me fruit from my labours? Then which to choose I cannot tell! I am sorely perplexed either way!
23 Makambo mibale ezali kobenda ngai ngambo na ngambo: na ngambo moko, kokufa mpo na kozala elongo na Klisto, pamba te yango nde eleki malamu;
My own desire is to depart and be with Christ, for this would be far better.
24 na ngambo mosusu, kowumela kati na nzoto, pamba te yango nde eleki na tina likolo na bino.
But, for your sakes, it may be more needful that I should still remain here in the body.
25 Lokola nandimisami na yango, nayebi malamu ete nakowumela mpe nakokoba kozala kati na bino nyonso, mpo na kosunga ete bokola mpe bosepela kati na kondima.
Yes, I am confident that this is so, and therefore I am sure that I shall stay, and stay near you all, to promote your progress and joy in the Faith;
26 Boye, tango nakozala lisusu elongo na bino, lolendo na bino kati na Yesu-Klisto ekobakisama lisusu mpo na ngai.
so that, when you once more have me among you, you, in your union with Christ Jesus, may find in me fresh cause for exultation.
27 Kasi botambola na lolenge oyo ebongi liboso ya Sango Malamu ya Klisto mpo ete, ezala nayei kotala bino to nayei te, nayoka sango ete botelemi ngwi mpe bosangani lokola moto moko, bozali kobunda elongo, na motema moko, mpo na kobatela kondima oyo Sango Malamu ememelaki bino,
Under all circumstances let your lives be worthy of the Good News of the Christ: so that, whether I come and see you, or whether I hear of your affairs at a distance, I may know that you are standing firm, animated by one spirit, and joining with one heart in a common struggle for the Faith taught by the Good News,
28 na kolenga te liboso ya banguna na bino. Mpo na bango, ezali elembo ya libebi; kasi mpo na bino, ezali elembo ya lobiko, mpe ewutaka na Nzambe.
without ever shrinking from your opponents. To them this will be a sign of their Destruction and of your Salvation — a sign from God.
29 Mpo na oyo etali Klisto, Nzambe apesaki bino ngolu kaka te ya kondimela Ye, kasi ngolu mpe ya konyokwama mpo na Ye,
For, on behalf of Christ, you have had the privilege granted you, not only of trusting in him, but also of suffering on his behalf.
30 pamba te bozali nde kobunda etumba ya lolenge moko na oyo bomonaki ngai kobunda mpe oyo bozali koyoka ete nazali lisusu kobunda sik’oyo.
You will be engaged in the same hard struggle as that which you once saw me waging, and which you hear that I am waging still.
