1 Tala bisika oyo bana ya Isalaele batongaki milako na bango tango bazalaki na mobembo wuta na mokili ya Ejipito. Bazalaki kotambola na molongo ya bitumba na bokambami ya Moyize mpe Aron.

Here is a list of the places where the/we Israelis went as Aaron and Moses/I led them/us after they/we left Egypt.

2 Moyize akomaki na mokanda bisika nyonso oyo bazalaki koleka na etinda ya Yawe. Tala bakombo ya moko na moko ya bisika yango:

Yahweh commanded Moses/me to write down the names of the places where they/we went.

3 Bana ya Isalaele balongwaki na Ramisesi na mokolo ya zomi na mitano, na sanza ya liboso; ezalaki mokolo oyo elandaki mokolo ya Pasika. Babimaki na matata te na miso ya bato nyonso ya Ejipito,

On the fifteenth day of the first month [of the year], the day after we celebrated the (Passover/the time when Yahweh killed all the firstborn sons of the people of Egypt), they/we left Rameses [city in Egypt] and marched boldly while the Egyptian army was coming behind them/us.

4 wana bato ya Ejipito bazalaki kokunda bibembe ya bana mibali na bango ya liboso oyo Yawe abetaki mpo na kopesa etumbu na banzambe na bango.

As they/we left, the people of Egypt were still burying the bodies of their firstborn sons. [By killing them], Yahweh showed that the gods that the people of Egypt worshiped were false gods.

5 Tango balongwaki na Ramisesi, bana ya Isalaele bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Sukoti.

After leaving Rameses, they/we first went to Succoth and set up their/our tents there.

6 Kolongwa na Sukoti, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Etami, pene ya mondelo ya esobe.

Then they/we left Succoth and went to Etham, at the edge of the desert, and set up their/our tents there.

7 Tango balongwaki na Etami, bazongaki na ngambo ya Pi-Ayiroti oyo etalana na Bala-Tsefoni, mpe batongaki molako na bango liboso ya Migidoli.

Then they/we left Etham and returned to Pi-Hahiroth, to the east of Baal-Zephon, and set up their/our tents near Migdol.

8 Kolongwa na Pi-Ayiroti, bakatisaki ebale monene mpe bakomaki na esobe; batambolaki mikolo misato na esobe ya Etami mpe batongaki molako na bango, na Mara.

Then they/we left Pi-Hahiroth and walked through the [Red] Sea into the Etham Desert, and set their/our tents at Marah.

9 Kolongwa na Mara, bakomaki na Elimi epai wapi bakutaki bitima zomi na mibale mpe banzete ya mbila tuku sambo; batongaki molako na bango kuna.

Then they/we left Marah and went to Elim. There were twelve springs and 70 palm trees there. They/We set up our tents there.

10 Kolongwa na Elimi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango pene ya ebale monene ya barozo.

Then they/we left Elim and went to the area near the Red Sea and set up their/our tents there.

11 Kolongwa na ebale monene ya barozo, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na esobe ya Tsini.

Then they/we left the Red Sea area and went to the area near the Sin Desert and set up their/our tents there.

12 Kolongwa na esobe ya Tsini, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Dofika.

Then they/we left the Sin Desert and went to Dophkah and set up their/our tents there.

13 Kolongwa na Dofika, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Alushi.

Then they/we left Dophkah and went to Alush and set up their/our tents there.

14 Kolongwa na Alushi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Refidimi epai wapi bato bazangaki mayi ya komela.

Then they/we left Alush and went and set up their/our tents at Rephidim, where they/we had no water to drink.

15 Kolongwa na Refidimi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na esobe ya Sinai.

Then they/we left Rephidim and went to the Sinai Desert and set up their/our tents there.

16 Kolongwa na esobe ya Sinai, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Kibiroti-Atava.

Then they/we left the Sinai Desert and went to Kibroth-Hattaavah and set up their/our tents there.

17 Kolongwa na Kibiroti-Atava, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Atseroti.

Then they/we left Kibroth-Hattaavah and went to Hazeroth and set up their/our tents there.

18 Kolongwa na Atseroti, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Ritima.

Then they/we left Hazeroth and went to Rithmah and set up their/our tents there.

19 Kolongwa na Ritima, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Rimoni-Peretsi.

Then they/we left Rithmah and went to Rimmon-Perez and set up their/our tents there.

20 Kolongwa na Rimoni-Peretsi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Libina.

Then they/we left Rimmon-Perez and went to Libnah and set up their/our tents there.

21 Kolongwa na Libina, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Risa.

Then they/we left Libnah and went to Rissah and set up their/our tents there.

22 Kolongwa na Risa, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na ngomba Keyelata.

Then they/we left Rissah and set up their/our tents at Kehelathah.

23 Kolongwa na ngomba Keyelata, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na ngomba Seferi.

Then they/we left Kehelathah and went to Shepher Mountain and set up their/our tents there.

24 Kolongwa na ngomba Seferi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Arada.

Then they/we left Shepher and went to Haradah [Mountain] and set up their/our tents there.

25 Kolongwa na Arada, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Makeyeloti.

Then they/we left Haradah and went to Makheloth and set up their/our tents there.

26 Kolongwa na Makeyeloti, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Taati.

Then they/we left Makheloth and went to Tahath and set up their/our tents there.

27 Kolongwa na Taati, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Tera.

Then they/we left Tahath and went to Terah and set up their/our tents there.

28 Kolongwa na Tera, bakendaki kotonga molako na bango na Mitika.

Then they/we left Terah and went to Mithcah and set up their/our tents there.

29 Kolongwa na Mitika, bakendaki kotonga molako na bango na Ashimona.

Then they/we left Mithcah and went to Hashmonah and set up their/our tents there.

30 Kolongwa na Ashimona, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Moseroti.

Then they/we left Hashmonah and went to Moseroth and set up their/our tents there.

31 Kolongwa na Moseroti, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Bene-Yaakani.

Then they/we left Moseroth and went to Bene-Jaakan and set up their/our tents there.

32 Kolongwa na Bene-Yaakani, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Ori-Gidigadi.

Then they/we left Bene-Jaakan and went to Hor-Haggidgad and set up their/our tents there.

33 Kolongwa na Ori-Gidigadi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Yotibata.

Then they/we left Hor-Haggidgad and went to Jotbathah and set up their/our tents there.

34 Kolongwa na Yotibata, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Abrona.

Then they/we left Jotbathah and went to Abronah and set up their/our tents there.

35 Kolongwa na Abrona, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Etsioni-Geberi.

Then they/we left Abronah and went to Ezion-Geber and set up their/our tents there.

36 Kolongwa na Etsioni-Geberi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Kadeshi, na esobe ya Tsini.

Then they/we left Ezion-Geber and went to Zin Desert and set up their/our tents at Kadesh there.

37 Kolongwa na Kadeshi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na ngomba Ori, na mondelo ya Edomi.

Then they/we left Kadesh and went to Hor Mountain, at the border of Edom land and set up their/our tents there.

38 Ezali kuna na ngomba Ori nde, kolanda etinda ya Yawe, Nganga-Nzambe Aron amataki mpe akufaki na mokolo ya liboso ya sanza ya mitano, sima na mibu tuku minei wuta bana ya Isalaele babimaki na Ejipito.

Aaron, the priest, obeyed Yahweh and climbed up the mountain. There he died, on the first day of their/our fifth month, 40 years after the/we Israelis left Egypt.

39 Aron azalaki na mibu ya mbotama nkama moko na tuku mibale na misato tango akufaki likolo ya ngomba Ori.

Aaron was 123 years old when he died.

40 Boye, mokonzi ya Aradi, moto ya mboka Kanana, oyo azalaki kovanda na Negevi ya mboka Kanana, ayokaki sango ya koya ya bana ya Isalaele.

(That was when the king of Arad [city] heard that the/we Israelis were coming. Arad was in the southern part of Canaan, where the Canaan people-group lived.)

41 Tango balongwaki na ngomba Ori, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Tsalimona.

The Israelis left Hor Mountain and went to Zalmonah and set up their/our tents there.

42 Kolongwa na Tsalimona, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Punoni.

Then they/we left Zalmonah and went to Punon and set up their/our tents there.

43 Kolongwa na Punoni, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Oboti.

Then they/we left Punon and went to Oboth and set up their/our tents there.

44 Kolongwa na Oboti, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Iye-Abarimi, na mondelo ya Moabi.

Then they/we left Oboth and went to Iye-Abarim, which was on the border of the Moab region, and set up their/our tents there.

45 Kolongwa na Iye-Abarimi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Diboni-Gadi.

Then they/we left Iye-Abarim and went to Dibon-Gad and set up their/our tents there.

46 Kolongwa na Diboni-Gadi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na Alimoni-Dibilatayimi.

Then they/we left Dibon-Gad and set up their/our tents at Almon-Diblathaim.

47 Kolongwa na Alimoni-Dibilatayimi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na bangomba Abarimi, pembeni ya Nebo.

Then they/we left Almon-Diblathaim and went to the Abarim Mountains, near Nebo and set up their/our tents there.

48 Kolongwa na bangomba Abarimi, bakendeki kotonga molako na bango na bitando ya Moabi, pembeni ya Yordani oyo etalana na Jeriko.

Then they/we left the Abarim Mountains and went to the plains of the Moab region, near the Jordan [River], across from Jericho.

49 Batongaki molako na bango pembeni ya Yordani, kolongwa na Beti-Yeshimoti kino na Abele-Shitimi, na etando ya Moabi.

They/We set up our tents there; their/our tents stretched [for several miles/km.] from Beth-Jeshimoth to Acacia.

50 Na bitando ya Moabi, pembeni ya Yordani oyo etalana na Jeriko, Yawe alobaki na Moyize:

While we were there on the plains of the Moab [region] near the Jordan [River], across from Jericho, Yahweh spoke to Moses/me. He said,

51 « Loba na bana ya Isalaele, mpe yebisa bango: ‹ Tango bokokatisa ebale Yordani mpo na kokota na mokili ya Kanana,

“Tell this to the Israeli people: When you cross the Jordan [River] and enter the Canaan [region],

52 bokobengana bato nyonso oyo bavandaka na mboka yango, bokosilisa kobuka banzambe nyonso ya bikeko oyo basala na mabanga, na bibende banyangwisa na moto mpe bokobebisa bisambelo na bango nyonso ya likolo ya bangomba.

you must force all the people who live there to leave. Destroy all their carved statues and all their idols made of metal. Wreck all the places where they worship [their idols].

53 Bokobotola mokili yango mpe bokokoma kovanda kuna, pamba te napesi bino mokili yango mpo ete bobotola yango.

Take their land from them and start to live there, because I have given their land to you for you to own.

54 Bokokabola na kobeta zeke mabele ya mokili oyo ezali libula na bino: libota oyo eleki monene ekozwa mpe eteni ya mabele oyo eleki monene; libota ya moke, ekozwa mpe eteni ya mabele ya moke. Libota moko na moko ekozwa eteni na yango ya mabele na esika oyo zeke ekokweya. Bokokabola yango kolanda masanga ya bituka na bino.

“Divide up the land by throwing (lots/small stones which have been marked) [to decide which group will get which area]. Give the larger areas to the groups that have more people, and give the smaller areas to the groups that have fewer people. Each tribe will receive its own land.

55 Kasi soki bobengani te bavandi ya mokili yango, ba-oyo bakotikala bakokoma lokola banzube na miso na bino mpe lokola basende na mipanzi na bino. Bakomonisa bino pasi na mokili oyo bokovanda.

If you do not force the people who live there to leave, they will cause you to have much trouble. They will be like sharp hooks in your eyes, and like thorns in your sides. And they will bring trouble to you, in that land where you will be living.

56 Boye, nakosala bino ndenge nakanaki kosala bango. › »

And then I will punish you, as I had planned to punish them.”
