1 Kati na esobe ya Sinai, Yawe asololaki na Moyize kati na Ndako ya kapo ya Bokutani; ezalaki na mokolo ya liboso ya sanza ya mibale, na mobu ya mibale, sima na bango kobima na mokili ya Ejipito. Alobaki na ye:

Yahweh spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the wilderness of Sinai. This happened on the first day of the second month during the second year after the people of Israel had come out from the land of Egypt. Yahweh said,

A man from each tribe, a clan head, must serve with you as his tribe's leader. Each leader must lead the men who will fight for his tribe.

These are the names of the leaders who must fight with you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;

6 mpo na libota ya Simeoni: Shelumieli, mwana mobali ya Tsurishadayi;

from the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;

7 mpo na libota ya Yuda: Nashoni, mwana mobali ya Aminadabi;

from the tribe of Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;

8 mpo na libota ya Isakari: Netaneeli, mwana mobali ya Tsuwari;

from the tribe of Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;

9 mpo na libota ya Zabuloni: Eliabi, mwana mobali ya Eloni;

from the tribe of Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;

10 mpo na bana mibali ya Jozefi: mpo na libota ya Efrayimi: Elishama, mwana mobali ya Amiwudi; mpo na libota ya Manase: Gamilieli, mwana mobali ya Pedakitsuri;

from the tribe of Ephraim son of Joseph, Elishama son of Ammihud; from the tribe of Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;

11 mpo na libota ya Benjame: Abidani, mwana mobali ya Gideoni;

from the tribe of Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;

12 mpo na libota ya Dani: Akiezeri, mwana mobali ya Amishadayi;

from the tribe of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;

13 mpo na libota ya Aseri: Pagieli, mwana mobali ya Okirani;

from the tribe of Asher, Pagiel son of Okran;

14 mpo na libota ya Gadi: Eliazafi, mwana mobali ya Deweli;

from the tribe of Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;

15 mpo na libota ya Nefitali: Akira, mwana mobali ya Enani. »

and from the tribe of Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.”

16 Ezali bango nde baponamaki kati na lisanga: bazalaki bakambi ya mabota na bango, bakambi ya mampinga ya Isalaele.

These were the men appointed from the people. They led their ancestors' tribes. They were the leaders of the clans in Israel.

17 Moyize mpe Aron bakamataki bato oyo baponamaki na bakombo mpo ete basala na bango elongo.

Moses and Aaron took these men, who were recorded by name,

18 Basangisaki lisanga mobimba na mokolo ya liboso, na sanza ya mibale; boye bana ya Isalaele batalisaki bokoko na bango kolanda mabota na bango mpe bituka na bango. Bakomaki bakombo ya mibali nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, mobali moko na moko na kombo na ye,

and along with these men they assembled all the men of Israel on the first day of the second month. Then each man twenty years old and older identified his ancestry. He had to name the clans and families descended from his ancestors.

19 ndenge Yawe atindaki Moyize oyo atangaki motango na bango na esobe ya Sinai.

Then Moses recorded their numbers in the wilderness of Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him to do.

20 Mpo na bakitani ya Ribeni, mwana mobali ya liboso ya Isalaele: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Reuben, Israel's firstborn, were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

21 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Ribeni ezalaki nkoto tuku minei na motoba na nkama mitano.

They counted 46,500 men from the tribe of Reuben.

22 Mpo na bakitani ya Simeoni: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Simeon were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

23 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Simeoni ezalaki nkoto tuku mitano na libwa na nkama misato.

They counted 59,300 men from the tribe of Simeon.

24 Mpo na bakitani ya Gadi: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Gad were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

25 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Gadi ezalaki nkoto tuku minei na mitano na nkama motoba.

They counted 45,650 men from the tribe of Gad.

26 Mpo na bakitani ya Yuda: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu ya mbotama kobanda tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Judah were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

27 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Yuda ezalaki nkoto tuku sambo na minei na nkama motoba.

They counted 74,600 men from the tribe of Judah.

28 Mpo na bakitani ya Isakari: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Issachar were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

29 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Isakari ezalaki nkoto tuku mitano na minei na nkama minei.

They counted 54,400 men from the tribe of Issachar.

30 Mpo na bakitani ya Zabuloni: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

They counted 57,400 men from the tribe of Zebulun.

32 Mpo na bana mibali ya Jozefi: Mpo na bakitani ya Efrayimi: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Ephraim son of Joseph were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

33 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Efrayimi ezalaki nkoto tuku minei na nkama mitano.

They counted 40,500 men from the tribe of Ephraim.

34 Mpo na bakitani ya Manase: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

35 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Manase ezalaki nkoto tuku misato na mibale na nkama mibale.

They counted 32,200 men from the tribe of Manasseh.

36 Mpo na bakitani ya Benjame: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Benjamin were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

37 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Benjame ezalaki nkoto tuku misato na mitano na nkama minei.

They counted 35,400 men from the tribe of Benjamin.

38 Mpo na bakitani ya Dani: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Dan were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

39 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Dani ezalaki nkoto tuku motoba na mibale na nkama sambo.

They counted 62,700 from the tribe of Dan.

40 Mpo na bakitani ya Aseri: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Asher were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

41 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Aseri ezalaki nkoto tuku minei na moko na nkama mitano.

They counted 41,500 men from the tribe of Asher.

42 Mpo na bakitani ya Nefitali: bakomaki bakombo ya bato nyonso oyo bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, oyo bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda, moto na moto kolanda libota na ye mpe etuka na ye.

From the descendants of Naphtali were counted all the names of each and every man twenty years old or older able to go to war, from the records of their ancestor's clans and families.

43 Motango na bango nyonso oyo batangamaki kati na libota ya Nefitali ezalaki nkoto tuku mitano na misato na nkama minei.

They counted 53,400 from the tribe of Naphtali.

44 Bango nde bato oyo Moyize mpe Aron elongo na bakambi zomi na mibale ya Isalaele, oyo moko na moko azalaki kotalisa libota na ye, batangaki.

Moses and Aaron counted all these men, together with the twelve men who were leading the twelve tribes of Israel.

45 Bongo bato nyonso ya Isalaele oyo batangamaki kolanda mabota na bango mpo ete bazalaki na mibu tuku mibale mpe koleka, mpe bazalaki na makoki ya kosala mosala ya soda,

So all the men of Israel from twenty years old and older, all who could fight in war, were counted in each of their families.

46 bazalaki bango nyonso nkoto nkama motoba na misato na nkama mitano na tuku mitano.

They counted 603,550 men.

47 Nzokande batangaki te nzela moko na mabota mosusu motango ya bato ya libota ya Levi.

But the men who were descended from Levi were not counted,

48 Yawe alobaki na Moyize:

because Yahweh had said to Moses,

49 « Kotanga te motango ya bato ya libota ya Levi, kokotisa bango te na molongo ya bato mosusu ya Isalaele.

“You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the total of the people of Israel.

50 Okopesa na bato ya libota ya Levi mokumba ya Mongombo ya Litatoli mpe ya bisalelo na yango nyonso elongo na biloko nyonso oyo ezalaka kati na Mongombo. Bango bakozwa mokumba ya komemaka yango elongo na bisalelo na yango mpe bakovanda zingazinga na yango.

Instead, assign the Levites to care for the tabernacle of the covenant decrees, and to care for all the furnishings in the tabernacle and for everything in it. The Levites must carry the tabernacle, and they must carry the tabernacle's furnishings. They must care for the tabernacle and make their camp around it.

51 Tango nyonso Mongombo ekolongwa na esika moko mpo na kokende na esika mosusu, Balevi nde bakolongola yango; mpe tango ekotelema, bango mpe kaka nde bakotelemisa yango. Moto mosusu oyo akopusana pembeni na yango asengeli kokufa.

When the tabernacle is to move to another place, the Levites must take it down. When the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites must set it up. Any stranger who comes near the tabernacle must be killed.

52 Bana ya Isalaele bakotelemisa bandako na bango ya kapo kolanda milongo na bango ya mampinga, mpe moto na moto akozala kati na molako na ye, na se ya bendele na ye.

When the people of Israel set up their tents, each man must do so near the banner that belongs to his armed group.

53 Kasi bato ya libota ya Levi bakotelemisa bandako na bango ya kapo zingazinga ya Mongombo ya Litatoli mpo ete kanda makasi ya Yawe ekoka kokweya likolo ya lisanga ya bana ya Isalaele te. Bato ya libota ya Levi nde bakosala mosala ya kobatela Mongombo ya Litatoli. »

However, the Levites must set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant decrees so that my anger does not come upon the people of Israel. The Levites must care for the tabernacle of the covenant decrees.”

54 Bana ya Isalaele basalaki makambo oyo nyonso, ndenge kaka Yawe atindaki na nzela ya Moyize.

The people of Israel did all these things. They did everything that Yahweh commanded through Moses.
