1 Mawa na engumba oyo mosala na yango kosopa makila ya bato, engumba oyo etonda na makambo ya lokuta mpe na moyibi, engumba oyo ezangaka te koboma bato!
Woe to the bloody city! it [is] all full of lies [and] robberies; the prey departeth not;
2 Tango nyonso, kaka makelele ya bafimbu, makelele ya bapine: bampunda ezali kopumbwa, mpe bashar ezali koningana.
The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the prancing horses, and of the bounding chariots.
3 Basoda oyo batambolaka likolo ya bampunda bazali kotambola-tambola, mipanga ezali kongenga, makonga ezali koleka-leka lokola mikalikali! Bato bazali kozoka, kokufa ebele penza! Bongo bibembe elali-lali bisika nyonso, mpe makolo ya bato ekomi kotuta bibembe tango bazali kotambola.
The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword, and the glittering spear: and [there is] a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcasses; and [there is] no end of [their] corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
4 Makambo oyo nyonso esalemi likolo ya makambo ya nkele ya engumba oyo etonda na kindumba, engumba ya kitoko makasi kasi etonda na misala ya soloka, engumba oyo epengwisaka bikolo na nzela ya kindumba na yango mpe epengwisaka bato na nzela ya misala na yango ya soloka.
Because of the multitude of the lewd deeds of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her lewd deeds, and families through her witchcrafts.
5 « Natombokeli yo, » elobi Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga; « nakotombola yo elamba kino na elongi, nakolakisa bolumbu na yo na miso ya bikolo mosusu mpe nakoyokisa yo soni na miso ya bamboka nyonso.
Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will remove thy skirts upon thy face, and I will show the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
6 Nakobwakela yo bosoto, nakosambwisa yo mpe nakokomisa yo eloko ya maseki.
And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazing-stock.
7 Bato nyonso oyo bakomona yo bakokima mpe bakoganga: ‹ Engumba Ninive ebebisami boye! Nani akoyokela yango mawa? › »
And it shall come to pass, [that] all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her; whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
8 Boni, okanisi ete ozali kitoko koleka engumba Tebesi oyo ezalaka pembeni ya ebale Nili mpe ezingelama na mayi, bongo ebale ebatelaka yango mpe mayi ezalaka lokola mir oyo ebombaka yango?
Art thou better than populous No, that was situated among the rivers, [that had] the waters around it, whose rampart [was] the sea, [and] her wall [was] from the sea?
9 Makasi na yango ezalaki kowuta na Kushi mpe na Ejipito; bato ya Puti mpe ya Libi bazalaki kosunga yango.
Cush and Egypt [were] her strength, and [it was] infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
10 Nzokande, yango mpe ekweyaki, mpe bamemaki bato na yango na bowumbu. Bakataki-kataki na biteni bana na bango na babalabala nyonso, babetaki zeke mpo na kopona bato na yango ya lokumu mpo ete bamema bango na bowumbu, mpe bakangaki bakambi na yango minyololo.
Yet [was] she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the head of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honorable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
11 Yo mpe okokoma lokola moto oyo alangwe masanga, yo mpe okoluka ekimelo mpo na kokima banguna na yo.
Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.
12 Bandako na yo nyonso, oyo batonga makasi ezali lokola banzete ya figi etonda na bambuma ya liboso ekomela; soki kaka bameki koningisa yango, bambuma ekweyaka kino na monoko ya moto ya lokoso.
All thy strong holds [shall be like] fig-trees with the first ripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.
13 Tala malamu mampinga na yo, balemba lokola basi; bikuke ya mokili na yo ezali polele liboso ya banguna na yo, pamba te moto ezikisi bikangelo na yango.
Behold, thy people in the midst of thee [are] women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open to thy enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
14 Bino bato ya engumba oyo, bomitokela libela mayi mpo ete bakozingela bino; bolendisa libela bamir oyo ebatelaka engumba na bino; bokamata mabele oyo batongelaka bandako, bosangisa yango mpo ete ekoma potopoto, bongo bobeta babiliki mpe botumba yango.
Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brick-kiln.
15 Kuna nde moto ekoya kozikisa yo, mopanga ekoya koboma yo mpe kosilisa yo lokola mabanki. Tika ete bato na yo bakoma ebele lokola mabanki, bakoma lisusu ebele makasi lokola mankoko.
There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the canker-worm: make thyself many as the canker-worm, make thyself many as the locusts.
16 Okomisi motango ya bato na yo ya mombongo ebele koleka ata minzoto ya likolo, kasi babebisi mokili nyonso mpe bapumbwe na bango ndenge kaka mankoko esalaka.
Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the canker-worm spoileth, and flieth away.
17 Bakengeli na yo bazali lokola mankoko, bakonzi ya basoda na yo bazali lokola maboke ya mabanki oyo eyaka kovanda na bamir ya lopango na tango ya malili; kasi soki kaka moyi ebimi, yango nyonso epanzani, mpe moto moko te ayebaka esika yango ekendaka.
Thy crowned [are] as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which settle in the hedges in the cold day, [but] when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they [are].
18 Oh mokonzi ya Asiri, bakambi na yo bazali kolala pongi, basoda na yo ya mpiko balali pongi ya makasi, mampinga na yo bapalangani na bangomba mpe moto akosangisa bango azali komonana te.
Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell [in the dust]: thy people are scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth [them].
19 Ezali ata na kisi moko te oyo ekoki kobikisa pota na yo; pota na yo ezali monene makasi! Moto nyonso oyo akoyoka sango ya makambo oyo ekomeli yo akobeta maboko mpo na kokweyisama na yo. Pamba te nani oyo ozangaki kosala mabe?
[There is] no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the fame of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
